Goals of Myrmes

Myrmes, a captivating board game where you play as an ant colony, has a variety of exciting objectives for you to pursue. Whether you’re an experienced player or just starting out, these goals will keep you invested and entertained as you navigate the intricate world of ants.

Building Your Colony

One of the core objectives of Myrmes is to construct and expand your ant colony. You’ll take on the role of the queen ant, making important decisions to ensure the prosperity of your workers. From creating new chambers to populating them with larvae, every choice you make will improve your colony’s chances of survival.

Each chamber serves a unique purpose, contributing to the overall strength and development of your ant empire. You have the power to strategize and decide where to place specific chambers, such as food storage, egg-laying, and soldier production. These choices will shape the success and growth of your colony.

Foraging for Resources

In order to sustain your ant colony, you must venture into the surrounding wilderness to gather resources. Myrmes challenges you to send out foraging ants to locate food, which is crucial for the survival and expansion of your colony.

When sending your ants on foraging missions, you’ll need to consider their strength and abilities. Some ants are better suited for specific tasks, opening up strategic possibilities for efficient resource collection. You may encounter rival ant colonies during your expeditions, which adds an element of competition and intrigue to the game.

Interacting with the Environment

To thrive in the dynamic world of Myrmes, you’ll need to interact with the environment and adapt to its ever-changing conditions. You’ll face various challenges, from unpredictable weather patterns to predators and other obstacles.

As the game progresses, you’re presented with exciting opportunities to confront these challenges head-on. For example, you can find innovative solutions to overcome obstacles, such as using pheromones to manipulate other ant colonies or cooperating with neighboring colonies for mutual benefit.

Accumulating Victory Points

In Myrmes, accumulating victory points is the ultimate objective. These points serve as a measure of your success and determine the winner of the game. Your actions throughout the game, such as constructing chambers, gathering resources, and interacting with other colonies, contribute to your victory point total.

Strategizing and optimizing your decisions to maximize victory points is a key aspect of the game. You’ll need to carefully balance the various objectives and challenges in order to achieve victory.

Are you ready to embark on this thrilling ant adventure? With Myrmes, you’ll experience the intricate and captivating world of ants like never before. So gather your strategy, plan your moves, and lead your ant colony to victory!

To achieve these goals, you need to discard cubes of food (on the left 3 spaces), a combination of earth and stone cubes (in the middle 6 spaces, as per your preference), or stone cubes (on the right 3 spaces). These cubes will then be put back into the reserve.

Hunting Targets:

Hey there! Let’s talk about an important aspect of the game: fulfilling objectives. These objectives ask you to get rid of Prey tokens that you’ve hunted and placed next to your individual board. You’ll find these tokens on the left (2 tokens), in the middle (3 tokens), and on the right (4 tokens).

Once you’ve hunted and placed these tokens, you’ll need to discard them in order to fulfill specific objectives. Keep in mind that you can’t use the same token for two different Prey objectives. So, choose wisely!

Special Tiles Objectives

Alright, here’s what you need to do to complete these objectives. You’ll have to build either 2 special tiles on the left or 3 special tiles on the right. And when I say special tiles, I mean any type of special tile, including one that you’ve already built twice or thrice.

Now, to validate the objective on the left, all you have to do is remove the cube on the tile of your choice that shows you own it. The tile will still be on the board, but it won’t serve any purpose anymore.

On the other hand, to validate the objective on the right, you’ll need to remove the cubes on two tiles of your choice that show you own them. These tiles will also stay on the board but will be rendered useless.

Ant Colony Level Objectives

In order to achieve these goals, you need to reach a specific level with your ant colony and move your ant colony disc backward.

For the first objective on the left, your ant colony needs to be at least at level II, and you must move the ant colony disc back by one level.

For the second objective on the right, your ant colony needs to be at least at level III, and you must move the ant colony disc back by two levels. The new level that is defined becomes active immediately, especially in terms of cube storage.

Objectives Involving Larvae

So, here’s what you gotta do. You’ve got these objectives that need completing. To start, you need to get rid of some larvae. From your larvae room, you gotta discard 5 on the left and 9 on the right. The larvae you get rid of, they go back to the reserve. Simple, right?

Now, onto the Soldier Objective:

To complete this objective, you need to get rid of 2 soldiers in your soldier room. These soldiers will then go back to your reserve.

Objectives for Nurses

To accomplish the goal on the left side, you need to have 6 nurses in the game, including the ones you already used for other objectives. After that, you have to discard one nurse that isn’t being used to show that you’ve successfully completed the objective.

To complete the goal on the right side, you need to have 8 nurses in play, including the ones you used for other objectives. Then, you have to discard two nurses that aren’t being used to indicate that you’ve completed the objective. The discarded nurse(s) will be returned to your reserve.

Now, let’s talk about Pheromone Objectives.

If you want to achieve the goal on the left, you need to have at least 4 connected pheromones. Keep in mind that special tiles and tunnels don’t count towards this requirement. Once you have the 4 pheromones connected, you must immediately remove all the cubes from them and put them back in the reserve. Remember, the number of cubes on the pheromone doesn’t matter for this objective, so you can choose 4 pheromones that don’t have any cubes on them, as long as they are connected.

If you want to achieve the goal on the right, you need to have at least 7 connected pheromones. Again, special tiles and tunnels don’t count. Just like with the left objective, you must immediately remove all the cubes from the connected pheromones and put them back in the reserve. The number of cubes on the pheromone doesn’t matter for this objective either, so you can choose 7 pheromones without any cubes on them, as long as they are connected.
