Welcome to Zoinx!
Hey there! Ready to play Zoinx? This is where the fun begins! Before we dive in, let’s go over the game rules so you’re all set to start playing.
The Objective
The main goal of Zoinx is to win the game by being the first player to reach a certain number of points. To score points, you’ll need to gather different combinations of dice.
What You’ll Need
To play Zoinx, you’ll need a set of Zoinx dice, a scoring grid, and a group of friends or family members to play with.
How to Play
To start the game, each player takes turns rolling the Zoinx dice. These dice are special because they have different colored sides, each representing a different kind of scoring opportunity.
Once you’ve rolled your dice, you can choose which ones to keep and which ones to reroll. This allows you to strategically build your score combinations.
The game continues with each player taking turns until someone reaches the winning score.
The Scoring
Now let’s talk about scoring. Zoinx has a scoring grid that shows you the different combinations you can make with the dice. Each combination has a different point value.
For example, if you roll three dice with the same color, you’ll score points based on the value shown on the scoring grid for that combination.
Strategy and Luck
Zoinx is a game that requires both strategy and luck. You’ll need to make smart decisions about which dice to keep and reroll to maximize your score.
But don’t forget, luck plays a big part too! Sometimes a roll of the dice will give you the perfect combination and other times you’ll have to strategize with the rolls you have.
Let’s Get Started!
Now that you know the rules, it’s time to gather your friends or family and start playing Zoinx! Remember, the objective is to score points by rolling and gathering different combinations of dice.
Have fun and may the best player win!
In this game, you earn points by rolling dice and trying to match or exceed the number of dots you predicted. But that’s not all – you can also place bets on how many dots you think your opponents will roll and earn points if you’re right. The player with the most points at the end is the winner.

Components
- There are 4 identical Zoinx dice. Each die has a combination of 2 dots and 4 squares.
- There are 4 different colored betting dice. These dice feature the numbers 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10.
- There is 1 score pad.
- There is a rulebook.
Setup
I will take one colored betting die. Next, we will place the Zoinx dice in the middle of the playing area. We should choose someone to be the scorekeeper, and they will write each player’s name at the top of a column on the score pad.
Game Play
The player whose name is closest to Z goes first, and then the turns will pass to the left. When it’s my turn, I will take the four Zoinx dice and place them in front of me.
Before rolling the dice, all players (including me) will make a prediction and secretly turn their betting dice face up. We will choose the number of dots we think I will accumulate on my turn.
Alright, let’s talk about betting in a fun and exciting game called Zoinx! In this game, you can never bet 0 as the active player, but as for the other players, they have the option to bet 0 if they want to. Once everyone is ready, it’s time to reveal our bets!
Alrighty then, let’s get this show on the road! First things first, roll all four Zoinx dice and let’s see what we got. If you happen to roll no dots, well, I hate to break it to you, but you totally “Zoinxed out” and your turn is over just like that. Bummer, right?
Now, if you roll at least one dot, it’s time for some counting action. You gotta tally up the number of dots you rolled and make sure everyone hears you loud and clear when you announce it. Show those Zoinx dice who’s boss!
But hold up, there’s a catch. If the number of dots you rolled is less than what you need to meet your bet, don’t fret. You’ve still got a chance to redeem yourself. Gather up those dice again and give ’em a good roll. This time, add the number of dots you rolled to your previous total and shout out that new number for all to hear. You might have to do this a few times before you end your turn, so keep those dice rollin’!
When you play the dice game, you want to roll a certain number of dots. And if the total number of dots you roll is equal to or higher than the number you bet, you have a decision to make.
- You can choose to end your turn and score points.
- Or you can keep rolling all four dice in an attempt to get more dots. You can continue rolling as long as you get at least one dot per roll. But be careful, this carries some risk, as explained in “Zoinx!” However, there is also a greater potential reward. If you roll more dots than your bet, you score the total number of dots you rolled PLUS the number of your bet!
Zoinx
Now, when it comes to the Zoinx dice, they only have two dots on each side. So, it’s very likely that you’ll end up rolling all squares during your turn. When that happens, it’s called “Zoinxing out”. Unfortunately, if you Zoinx out, you score 0 points for your turn, no matter how many dots you rolled before.
Hey there! So, before you start rolling those dice, let me give you the lowdown on a clever game strategy. Your opponents have a little trick up their sleeves – they can place bets on whether you’ll “Zoinx out” or not. You see, when they bet zero and you actually Zoinx out, they get a cool 5 points. But here’s where it gets interesting: if they bet on a number that you manage to reach before Zoinxing out, they score the number they bet. Sneaky, right?
Hey there! Let me break it down for you. Here’s how scoring works in this game:
Scoring
When It’s Your Turn
- If you bet a certain number of dots and stop rolling when you reach that exact number, you score the points you bet. For example, if you bet 4 and stop rolling at 4, your score is 4 points.
- If you roll more dots than you bet, you score the points you bet plus a bonus equal to the total number of dots you rolled. Let’s say you bet 6 and end up rolling a total of 8 dots. Your score would be 14 points.
But here’s the catch: if you ever roll all squares, you Zoinx out and lose all your points for that turn. It doesn’t matter if you rolled more dots than you bet – you lose everything!
When It’s Your Opponent’s Turn
If you wagered on the number of dots that the active player would roll, here’s how you score:
– If the active player rolls the number of dots you bet or more, you earn the exact amount you wagered, even if the active player Zoinxed out. For example, if you bet 6 and the active player rolls a total of 8 dots, your score is 6.
– If your bet is higher than the number of dots the active player rolls before stopping, you earn 0 points. For instance, if you bet 8 but the active player stops rolling at 6, your score is 0.
– If the active player Zoinxed out and you bet 0, you score 5 points.
The game continues until one player reaches a running score of at least 30 points and is also leading at the end of their turn. This signals the start of the final round of play.
Hey there! We’ve reached the exciting end of the game, and now it’s the moment of truth. Both you and your opponent have one last chance to come out on top and secure that coveted victory. Don’t forget, though, that scoring doesn’t stop just yet. Each player still has the opportunity to earn points during these final turns, just like in the regular rounds.
So, who will be crowned the ultimate champion? The player with the highest score when the last round is over. Yes, that’s right – the Grand Champion will be determined by who has amassed the most points throughout the whole game. It’s your chance to shine and show everyone that you have what it takes to emerge victorious!
