SPLASH
Hey there! Welcome to Splash, the ultimate game for a fun-filled family night. It’s super easy to learn and play, perfect for players of all ages. And the best part? Everyone gets to participate at the same time. Just take it slow if there are younger kids in the group. Let’s dive in and make a splash!
SETUP
Okay, let’s get things set up. Start by placing the dolphins in the middle of the play area. Remember, there should be one dolphin less than the players. Next, decide who’s going to be the dealer and have them gather the cards. Oh, and don’t forget to grab a score sheet to keep track of points throughout multiple games.
Alright, let’s get this game started! The dealer will shuffle the cards and give each player four cards. Once everyone has a good look at their hand, we’re ready to begin.
GAMEPLAY
Now, here’s where things really get exciting! We all start passing one card from our hand to the player on our left, while also receiving a card from the player on our right. It all happens simultaneously, so you’ve got to stay on your toes!
As we’re passing and receiving cards, our goal is to collect matching cards. Once you have four cards of the same kind in your hand, you’ve caught yourself a dolphin! Place that cute little dolphin right in front of you for everyone to see.
Now, here’s the fun part. As soon as someone collects a dolphin, everyone else needs to snatch a dolphin as quickly as possible. Remember, there’s one dolphin per player, so someone is bound to be left empty-handed. Once that’s settled, the dealer will mix up the cards again and deal them out for the next round.
The game keeps going until we’ve played the decided number of rounds, or until we’re tired of playing. We count up our points from the score pad to see who wins.
THE GAME ENDS
The game ends when we’ve played as many rounds as we want. That’s when we stop passing our cards. The player with the most dolphins wins! If there’s a tie, the player with the most matches in their hand wins!
