SETUP

Now, let me explain how the game is set up. The first dealer is chosen randomly, but in future rounds, it will be the player who won the last round of the previous hand.

Alright, here comes the fun part! The dealer shuffles the cards and deals each player a hand of 17 cards, one at a time. Isn’t it exciting to see what cards you’ll get?

But wait, there’s more! One card is left face-up on the table for everyone to see. And guess what? The player who has the 2 of diamonds can swap it with this card if they want. How cool is that?

So, here’s the deal. Once we’ve all got our hands, it’s time to see if anyone has a four of a kind. The player with the highest four of a kind takes the whole hand and scoops up all 4 chips from the pot. Then, that player shuffles the cards and deals for the next round.

But what if none of us have a four of a kind? Well, then things get interesting. We’ll start making combinations instead. We can aim for up to five different combinations, if we’re smart about it. Now, listen up, because I’m about to tell you all about these combinations:

The Rundown on Cards and Combinations

When it comes to Ramchi, the cards are ranked in a traditional way. The highest rank belongs to the Ace, followed by the king, queen, jack, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, and 2, which are ranked from highest to lowest. This ranking is essential as it determines which combinations are stronger than others.

There are five types of combinations in Ramchi: Three of a Kind is the strongest combination, followed by Three-card Straight Flush, Three-card Straight, Three-card Flush, and Three unrelated Cards as the weakest combination.

When you have a Three of a Kind combination, it means you have three cards of the same rank. The highest possible Three of a Kind is when you have three Aces, and the lowest is when you have three 2s.

When you have a Three-card Straight Flush, you need three cards in a row, all of the same suit. The best Three-card Straight Flush is Ace, 2, 3 of the same suit. Next is the 2, 3, 5 of the same suit, which is called a Ramchi. After that, the ranking goes in the usual order, with Ace, King, Queen being the next highest and going down from there. The lowest possible Three-card Straight Flush is the 4, 3, 2 of the same suit.

If you have a Three-card Straight, you need three cards in a row, but they can be any suits. They are ranked the same as the Three-card Straight Flush mentioned above.

For a Three-card Flush, you need three cards of the same suit, in any order. To figure out their rank, start by comparing the highest card of the flushes. If they match, move on to the second card to determine the rank, and so on. The highest possible Three-card Flush is an Ace, King, Jack. The lowest is 5, 3, 2.

How to Play

When we finish discarding our unused cards, the game starts with the player to the right of the dealer, and goes in a counterclockwise direction from there. We all have to play our best combination, and the player with the highest-ranked combination gets to go first. If there’s a tie, the player who played the combination first wins. They collect chips from each player based on the round, and then they get to lead the next round by playing their second best combination. This keeps going until all of us have played all of our combinations. If someone runs out of combinations before the rest of us, they can’t play in the next rounds for that hand. The player who wins the last round gets to be the next dealer.

When we play the game, the winner of each round gets a chip from every player. In the first round, they get one chip, in the second round, they get two chips, and so on, all the way up to the fifth round, where they get five chips from each player.

End of the Game

The game comes to an end when a player no longer has any chips left or when all players agree that the game is finished. The winner is determined by either being the last player remaining or by having the most chips.
