INTRODUCTION TO PINEAPPLE
Pineapple Poker is a fun and exciting variation of the popular card game, similar to Texas Hold’Em and Omaha Poker. But what sets Pineapple apart is that instead of starting with two hole cards like in those games, in Pineapple you start with three! It’s like getting an extra chance to make a winning hand right from the start.
The Basics
If you’re new to Pineapple Poker, don’t worry! The setup is just like in Texas Hold’Em. You’ll need a standard deck of cards and a group of friends to play with. The game is usually played in a casual setting, like someone’s home, rather than in a fancy casino. However, you can also find online platforms where you can enjoy Pineapple Poker with different betting limits.
Typically, Pineapple is played as a limit poker game, but you can easily adapt it to a no-limit or pot-limit game if you prefer more excitement. But let’s start with the basics first!
How to Play
The game begins with everyone at the table receiving three hole cards instead of the usual two. This gives you more options right off the bat and adds an extra layer of strategy to the game. After the hole cards are dealt, there is a round of betting before the community cards (the “flop”) are revealed.
Similar to Texas Hold’Em, the player sitting to the left of the dealer is the first to act. They can choose to either fold, call, or raise. Once the first player has made their move, the betting continues clockwise around the table until everyone has had a chance to act.
After the betting round, the dealer reveals the flop by placing three community cards face-up on the table. Now, you can combine your hole cards with the community cards to make the best possible five-card hand. And remember, since you have three hole cards instead of two, you’ll need to choose wisely!
From here, the game continues with more betting rounds and the remaining community cards being revealed (the “turn” and the “river”). Once all the community cards are on the table, it’s time for the final round of betting. The remaining players show their cards, and the player with the best hand wins the pot!
So, if you enjoy poker and want to try something new, give Pineapple Poker a shot. With its unique twist on the classic game, you’ll have even more chances to create winning hands and claim victory!
Hey there! Just a friendly reminder, in this game called Texas Hold’Em, we’ve got something called blinds. The small blind is the player to the left of the dealer, and the big blind is to their left. Now, both of these players have to place a bet before they even get their cards. Fun, right?
Now, here’s something interesting. Before we even start dealing cards, each player has to say goodbye to one of their cards. It’s like making a tough decision right from the start. After that, we dive into the flop, turn, and river rounds, just like in Texas Hold’Em.
Now, when it comes to betting, we’ve got three options: fold, call, or raise. Let me explain:
- Fold – That’s when you give up your cards to the dealer and decide to sit out the hand. If you fold your cards during the very first round of betting, don’t worry, you won’t lose any money. Phew!
- Call – When you match the most recent bet on the table.
- Raise – When you double the amount of the most recent bet.
If you have the best hand after the last round of betting, you win the whole pot. To learn more about how poker hands rank, click here.

Crazy Pineapple
Crazy Pineapple is almost the same as regular Pineapple, but you keep your first cards for the pre-flop and flop rounds of betting.
You discard one card before the turn.
Lazy Pineapple
Lazy Pineapple or Tahoe Pineapple got its name because you don’t have to discard any cards until all the betting is done, right before the showdown.
