No Thanks!

Welcome to the incredible world of No Thanks! This game is all about having a blast with your friends and family. It’s easy to learn, exciting to play, and guaranteed to make your game nights unforgettable. Let’s dive in!

In No Thanks!, we engage in a fantastic game of strategy and interaction. Our goal is simple: collect the fewest points possible. It’s a race against the clock to be crowned the ultimate winner!

Game Setup

Before we begin, let’s set up the game. First, we need to shuffle all the cards. Put nine of them aside without looking at what they are, and return them to the box. Now, take the remaining cards and place them face-down in the middle of the table.

Next, each player receives a certain number of counters based on the number of players. If we have three to five players, everyone gets eleven counters. If there are six players, each player receives nine counters. And if we have seven players, each player gets seven counters. Any extra counters go back in the box – we don’t need them right now. Keep your counters hidden from the others!

GAMEPLAY

It’s time to play! The oldest player will go first. They’ll start by turning over the top card from the stack. Now, they have a choice to make: Do they want to keep the card or say “No Thanks!” and put a counter on it?

Each card has a certain number of points on it. But here’s the thing: Those counters can cancel out some points at the end of the game! So, keep that in mind as you make your decision.

If the player decides not to take the card, it’s the next player’s turn to make the same choice. And this keeps going around the group, possibly several times, until someone finally decides to take the card and all the counters on it.

If you choose to keep the card, place it face-up in front of you and collect the counters to add to your supply. That’s one step closer to winning!

If you grab a card, turn over the top card from the pile. You can choose to take that card or put a counter on it. You keep going until you decide to pass on a card. If you run out of counters, you have to take the card, no matter what.

When the cards are in consecutive order, you only count points from the lowest number in the series. A series can be just two cards or many cards.

When the pile is empty, the game ends and we add up the points.

END OF GAME

The game ends when the pile is completely empty and there are no cards left to collect. Each player adds up all the points of the cards they took, but only for the lowest card in a series. Then they subtract the number of counters they have. The player with the lowest total wins the game!
