CHECK OUT THIS GAME:

Check out this awesome card game called Cover Your Assets! It starts off friendly, but trust me, things can get crazy! The whole point of the game is to collect as many assets as you can and make as much money as possible. But here’s the twist – you can steal from other players, which adds a whole new level of excitement!

Just be careful not to get too confident. Everyone else is out to steal your assets too!

GETTING STARTED

Getting started is super easy! Just shuffle both decks of cards together and deal four cards to each player. Take the rest of the cards and put them in the middle of the table – that’s the draw pile. Flip over the top card and place it next to the draw pile. This becomes the discard pile. And just like that, you’re ready to play!

LET’S PLAY

When we start playing, it’s the player on the dealer’s left who goes first. And when it’s my turn, there are four things I can do. First, I can take two cards from my hand that match each other, or one card that matches a wild card, and make a pair out of them. After making a new pair, I put it on top of the rest of my cards, but I turn it sideways.

The second option is to take a card from the discard pile and use it to make a pair. If the top card of the discard pile can be matched with one of the cards in my hand, I can make a pair with it. And just like with the other pairs, I place this one on top of the rest of my cards, but perpendicular to them.

If you’re feeling daring, you can try playing a risky move: stealing another player’s assets. Just show them a card that matches one of their top assets or use a wild card. They’ll have to defend themselves by showing a matching card or a wild card of their own. The battle continues until someone runs out of matching cards or wild cards. The player who shows the last card gets to keep all the cards involved in the battle, as well as the asset they were challenged for.

But if you’re not up for a fight, there’s another option: discard and draw. If you can’t do any of the other actions, simply discard a card and draw a new one from the deck.

After every turn, I can refill my hand to get back the same number of cards I started with. But once there are no more cards left to draw from, I have to keep playing with the cards in my hand. When I finally play my last card, the game is over and we count up our points.

The Game Ends

When all the cards have been played, we add up the values of the cards in our hands. The first person to reach $1,000,000 is the winner! If two people have the same amount of money, we can decide the winner by playing a game of tug-of-war, having a staring contest, or even thumb wrestling!
