ADVENTURE LAND
Welcome to Adventure Land! It’s a world of towering cities, sprawling forests, and treacherous mountains. Only the bravest adventurers dare to enter the deep forests in search of rare herbs and hidden treasure. But beware, for the forests are teeming with dangerous creatures and perilous obstacles. The more you discover and collect, the more favor you’ll gain with the mighty king!
GETTING STARTED
Now, let’s get you set up. Place the game board in the center of the playing area. Shuffle the terrain cards, fog creature cards, sword tiles, and herb tiles, and create separate stacks for each beside the board. Place the companions and sprites next to the game board, along with the gold coins.
When you start playing, you have to choose an adventure. Put the overview card for your chosen adventure in the middle so everyone can see it. Then, pick a color to represent you in the game. Take a score marker of that color and place it on the scoring track at zero.
The number of players determines how many game pieces go back in the box. Once that’s done, put your adventurers in the starting area, which is outside of rows one through four and columns A through D. We reveal eight terrain cards and place them on the board. The remaining cards go in a stack next to the board, creating the draw pile. Now, we’re ready to start the game.
GAMEPLAY
Starting with the youngest player, we’ll take turns going around the group. Each player gets to do two things on their turn: placing terrain cards and moving adventurers.
When it’s your turn, you’ll draw two terrain cards. Each card has coordinates that show where it should go on the board. Once you’ve placed the cards, put the used ones in the discard pile. When it comes to moving your adventurers, you have two options. You can move one adventurer in any direction, as far as you want, up to two times. Or, you can move two adventurers, but just once each.
When you’re moving your adventurer, you can jump over any tile, except for ones with fog creatures or water sprites. If you come across one of these, you have to battle it. But remember, you can’t end your move on a tile with a water sprite or another adventurer. To defeat a fog creature, you need to have a higher combat strength level than it. If you win the battle, you’ll place the creature in front of you. But if you lose, your adventurer is placed in the box with your companions.
The game keeps going like this until you run out of stockpile.
THE GAME ENDS
Hey there! I’m Ellie, a resident of Northeast Tennessee. I’m a huge fan of animals, especially ones in all sorts of shapes and sizes. Oh, and I just can’t get enough of those fantasy fiction novels! Plus, I absolutely adore everything that’s outdoorsy.
By the way, did I mention I have a fantastic husband who loves me almost as much as my two adorable fur babies? They bring so much joy into my life!
Now, let me tell you about this super cool game. It’s called the “Stockpile Adventure,” and it’s absolute fun! The game ends when we run out of swords or companions in the stockpile. Once that happens, we finish up the current round, making sure all players get an equal number of turns.
But here’s the thing – if no one can make a move, bam, the game ends right there! Time to tally up those points. Each player scores based on the adventure listed on their overview cards. And guess what? The player with the highest points becomes the champion!
So, are you ready to dive into this thrilling game of strategy and make your mark on the adventure?
