Neon lights, pulsating music, and energetic crowds set the stage for unforgettable parties. Dance the night away, indulge in delicious food and drinks, and make memories that will last a lifetime. Party Island is where celebration and joy come together, and fun is the main course.

So, which island calls out to you? Are you ready to embark on a grand adventure, immerse yourself in pure relaxation, expand your mind, or let loose and have a blast? The choice is yours, but remember, you don’t have to limit yourself to just one island. You can experience them all and create a truly unforgettable journey. Pack your bags, set sail, and get ready to explore the wonders of the four islands. The adventure awaits!

The people of Catan, brave and adventurous, ventured beyond their familiar lands and discovered the Four Islands. These islands were teeming with fertile fields, lush pastures, and abundant mines, which caught the attention of the Catanians.

Eager to explore, each tribe set out to claim a piece of all four islands. And so, a thrilling race began to secure the limited settlement sites available.

Rules for Starting the Game

At the start of the game, you have the freedom to choose where you want to place your starting settlements. You can place them on one island or two separate islands. These will be your “home islands,” while all other islands will be considered “foreign islands.”

Here’s a reminder: If you decide to build a settlement on the coast, you have the option to place a ship next to it instead of a road. This allows you to immediately set sail.

Pirate and Robber

In this scenario, both the pirate and the robber are involved. The pirate begins the game on the sea hex with a pirate ship symbol, while the robber begins on the hex marked with a “12”. Keep an eye out for them!

Special Victories

If you manage to construct a settlement on a foreign island, you will earn special victory points! This is an exciting opportunity for you to gain an advantage in the game.

When you begin building your very first settlement on an unfamiliar island, something exciting happens – you get not one, but TWO special victory points! To symbolize this achievement, you can grab 2 Catan chits and tuck them neatly under your settlement. So now, that special settlement of yours is worth a whopping 3 victory points! It’s like hitting the jackpot!

But wait, there’s more! If you decide to expand your settlement and build more settlements on that same island, you won’t earn any more special victory points. Remember, the first one is the real winner!

Now, imagine the thrill of building your first settlement on yet another foreign island – it’s like lightning striking twice! And yes, you guessed it, you earn TWO more special victory points! It’s like you’re destined for greatness!

But the excitement doesn’t stop there. Oh, no! If you manage to pull off the incredible feat of placing a new settlement on a third foreign island, brace yourself for another round of victorious celebration – yes, you guessed it – you earn TWO additional special victory points! It’s like fireworks exploding in the night sky!

Hey, hold on a second though: If you happen to begin the scenario with the luxury of 2 home islands, you can only rack up a total of FOUR special victory points. And that’s nothing to scoff at! But if you’re feeling extra bold and take on the challenge of starting with just 1 home island, well, my friend, you have the potential to earn up to SIX special victory points! That’s like finding a hidden treasure chest!

Hey there! Did you know that you can earn special victory points each time you build your first settlement on a new island? It’s pretty cool, right?

Let me give you an example. Imagine a player who has already built two settlements on the lower left island. Now, that player’s ships reach the island on the lower right. They decide to build a settlement there and earn 2 Catan chits. These chits are placed under the settlement. From this new settlement, they then reach the island on the upper right and build their first settlement there. Guess what? They get 2 additional victory points (Catan chits) for it!

The End of the Game

Guess when the game ends? You got it! As soon as a player reaches 13 victory points on their turn. Exciting, isn’t it?
