So here’s how it goes: I roll the die and move my zoo keeper pawn along the game board. I can go in any direction, you know?

When the game starts, I can pick any of the five spaces at the entrance. It’s totally up to me.

Along the way, I can pass other zoo keepers. But here’s the thing, two of us can’t be in the same space at the same time.

If I’m supposed to land in a space where another zoo keeper is already there, I have to stop just before that space. Can’t crash into them, you know?

Now, the fun part: when I land on a brown animal space outside a cage, I get to take an animal card. I put it face up in front of me so that everyone can see it. Then, it’s my mission to find the right cage for that animal and put it back where it belongs.

Easy! Just look at the brown animal space in front of the cage.

When you have an animal card, you can only have one at a time.

So, before you can grab another animal, you have to put the one you have back in its cage.

But be careful! You can only put an animal back in the right cage if you land on the brown animal space outside the cage.

When I find an animal in the zoo, I put its card face up in the cage. If I do that, I get a trophy! I keep my trophy cards safe. When I put all the animals back in their cages, I count my trophies to see if I have the most. If I do, I win the game!

If I put an animal in a cage that already has another animal inside, we exchange cards. Then, in the next round, I play with the new animal card.

If I turn over an animal card and see that the animal is already in its right cage, I get a trophy right away! Then, on my next turn, I have to find a new animal in another cage.

During the game, if I land on a blue car space that already has a car pawn on it, I can keep using the car and the zookeeper on my next turn. With the car, I can move twice the number shown on the die until I return my animal.

After I return my animal to its correct cage, I move the car piece to a different blue car space.

The Game Ends

We keep playing until all the animal cards are revealed and all the animals are back in their cages.

Once I return my last animal, my turn is over and I bring the zookeeper back to the zoo entrance.
