Welcome to the World of Tiny Trees!
Have you ever heard of the game called Tiny Trees? If not, get ready to dive into a world of excitement and adventure! In this game, you’ll have the opportunity to create your own little world filled with beautiful, magical trees. But first, let me explain the rules so you can get started on your journey.
Rule 1: Choose Your Trees
When playing Tiny Trees, the first thing you need to do is select the trees you want to include in your world. You have a variety of options to choose from, each with its own unique characteristics and abilities. Take your time to consider the type of trees you want to plant, as this decision will impact your game.
Rule 2: Placement is Key
Now that you’ve chosen your trees, it’s time to decide where they’ll go. The placement of your trees is crucial, as it can affect their growth and the overall health of your little ecosystem. Make sure to strategize and think about the best locations for each tree. Some trees thrive in the shade, while others prefer the open sun. Pay attention to their needs!
Rule 3: Nurture and Protect
Once your trees are in place, it’s up to you to take care of them. They’ll need regular watering and occasional pruning to ensure their growth and wellbeing. But be aware, as there may be some unwanted visitors lurking around, ready to harm your beloved trees. Stay vigilant and protect your tiny forest from any potential threats.
Rule 4: Harvest and Expand
As time goes by, your trees will flourish and grow. Don’t forget to harvest their fruits and use them wisely. These fruits are valuable resources that can help you expand your forest even further. With the right strategy and a little bit of luck, you’ll be able to create a thriving ecosystem that will bring you joy and satisfaction.
Rule 5: Embrace the Magic of Tiny Trees
The world of Tiny Trees is a magical place full of wonder and surprises. As you play the game, keep in mind that there’s more to it than just planting and growing trees. Explore the hidden corners of your forest, uncovering its secrets and discovering the enchanting creatures that call it home. Allow yourself to be captivated by the beauty and magic that surrounds you.
Are You Ready?
Now that you know the rules of the game, it’s time to jump right in and start your Tiny Trees adventure. Get ready to nurture, protect, and watch your little forest grow. Remember, the fate of your trees is in your hands. Will you create a thriving paradise or face the challenges of nature? Only time will tell. So go ahead, embark on this exciting journey and let your imagination run wild!
Hey there! So, listen up—I’ve got some exciting news. The old Demigod of Trees? Yeah, well, turns out they got a little too tempted by power and fell under the sway of Maion, the God of Decay. Not good. But here’s the kicker: Fisaven, the God of Growth, caught wind of this and now there’s a vacancy for the Demigod of Trees. And guess what? Fisaven is looking for a nature spirit like you to fill that role! Pretty cool, right?
So, here’s the deal: there are a bunch of others vying for this gig, just like you. In order to prove that you’re the most deserving, you’ve gotta go out there and scavenge for Branchlets to grow the most amazing tree ever. But it’s not just about impressing Fisaven—you’ve also got to earn the Favor of the other Gods and snag their Blessings. That’s the key to becoming the Demigod of Trees! You up for the challenge? I know you’ve got what it takes.
All the Stuff You’ll Need
- 16 Root Cards
- 42 Branchlets
- 8 Flowers
- 4 Trunk
- 8 Blessings
- Instructions
Getting Set Up
Alright, let’s get you ready to roll. Each player gets two Roots—you know, those things labeled ‘A’ and ‘B’. Got it? Cool. Any extra Roots can just hang tight for now. Ready to dive in?
Hey there! Let’s dive into this fun game together!
First things first, we need to distribute the Trunks. Each player gets one Trunk, and we’ll set aside any extras.
Next, it’s time to connect the Roots and the Trunk. We’ll slot them together perpendicular to each other, just like this:
Now, let’s shuffle the Branchlets and split them into three equal piles in the middle of the table.
Finally, we’ll arrange the Flowers around the piles of Branchlets.
- When playing with 4 players, make sure to include all of the Branchlets.
- If you’re playing with 3 players, take out 3 Branchlets from each pile and keep them separate.
- In a game with 2 players, remove 5 Branchlets from each pile and set them aside.
If you want to understand how to play Tiny Trees, you should start by choosing two random Blessings. Don’t worry about the ones you don’t use – you can set them aside for now.
A Tree Game
Hi there! Let’s play a fun game called “A Tree Game.” You and I will take turns, starting with the tallest spirit, who resembles a tree. Remember, we will play in a clockwise direction.
Collecting and Growing
When it’s your turn, you can scavenge for tree parts. You can choose either a Branchlet from one of the piles or a beautiful Flower. But be careful, because you can only pick up one Branchlet or Flower at a time.
Once you’ve chosen a Branchlet or Flower, it’s time to grow it on your tree. You need to connect the Branchlets or Flowers along the dotted lines to help your tree grow strong.
Remember, once you’ve grown a Branchlet or Flower, you can’t move it to a different spot on your tree. So choose carefully!
Falling Trees and Becoming a Demigod
Hey there! As I strive to become the next Demigod of Trees, I have to prove my worth. Fisaven, the Demigod’s observer, is keeping an eye on how stable the trees I grow are. It’s a bit nerve-wracking, but exciting at the same time!
- Now, the thing is, the tree I grow is made from scavenged Branchlets, so it’s not inherently stable. I need to make sure that I balance the weight on each Branchlet, as well as the entire tree, to prevent it from falling flat – both figuratively and literally. I may not be able to rearrange my tree once I’ve grown a Branchlet or a Flower, but I can adjust the angle of the Branchlets to improve its stability.
- Here’s another challenge: if a Branchlet from my tree touches the ground while I’m growing a new one, I’ll have to return whatever I grew last to the bottom of a pile of my choosing. Talk about a test of skill and strategy!
If you make the same mistake twice, Fisaven will see that you are not ready to become the Demigod of Trees and you won’t be able to win. So, be careful! Make sure to slot your Branchlets together in a way that they are perpendicular to each other. This will help prevent any issues.
Now, let’s talk about Flowers and Branches. The Flowers that you grow have special powers. They get their energy from the tree’s roots, pass through the Branchlets, and store it in their petals. This makes them better offerings to Fisaven and helps you earn more of their Favor.
Remember, you can’t grow a Branchlet or a Flower onto a Branchlet that already has a Flower. If you want to create a Flower, you need to grow a Branch. A Branch is the shortest path from a Flower to the trunk. It’s important to note that Branches are different from Branchlets. Branchlets are hexagonal cards, while a Branch consists of multiple Branchlets that lead to a Flower.
Example: I can’t grow anything on the top branch because it has a flower. But I can still grow things on the bottom branch because it doesn’t have a flower.
Earning Favor
When the game is over, I have the opportunity to earn the Favor of Fisaven. This is a crucial aspect of the game, and I can achieve it in three different ways: through Branches, Lifeforms, and Blessings.
- If you want to have more fun growing your tree, I suggest that you only earn Favor for Branches.
- If you want to have a balance between strategy and creativity, I suggest that you earn Favor for both Branches and Lifeforms.
- If you want to fully immerse yourself in the strategic aspects of the game, I suggest that you earn Favor for Branches, Lifeforms, and Blessings.
Branches
Branches are like the connections between a flower and the trunk of a tree. They’re the shortest paths that lead from the flower to the trunk. But here’s the thing – a bunch of smaller branches clustered together doesn’t count as a branch unless it has a flower at the very end.
- There are three types of Branchlets: Laurel, Cherry Blossom, and Maple. You can tell them apart easily by their unique leaves and bark.
- When looking at each Branch on a tree, find the type of Branchlet that appears the most.
- You’ll receive Favor points based on the highest number of Branchlets of the same type.
If there is an equal number of different types of Branchlets, you’ll only earn Favor for one type.
Branches
Example: Hey there! I have a Branch with a Laurel Branchlet, a Cherry Blossom Branchlet, and two Maple Branchlets. With this setup, my Branch can earn 2 Favor. Pretty cool, huh?
Example: Guess what? I’ve got two different Branches, but they share the same set of Branchlets. That means I can earn Favor for both of my Branches. Awesome!
Discover Lifeforms
When I explore the forest and gather Branchlets, I often come across fascinating Lifeforms that cling to them. These intriguing beings contribute to the beauty and vitality of my tree. Not only do they bring joy to my heart, but they also attract the attention of Fisaven, the mystical guardian of the forest.
There are various types of Lifeforms that you can encounter on your expeditions. Let me tell you about three kinds: Birds, Beetles, and Mushrooms. Each Lifeform has its unique characteristics that make it a delightful addition to your collection.
Let’s count how many of each type of Lifeform you have on your tree. Take a look at the table on the next page to find out how much Favor you can earn from each type.
You don’t have to place a Lifeform on a Branch in order to earn Favor. Each type of Lifeform can earn Favor on its own.
Let me give you an example: I have a tree with 3 birds, 2 beetles, and 1 mushroom. The mushroom earns 1 favor, the beetles earn a total of 2 favor, and the birds earn a total of 4 favor.
So, altogether, I earn 7 favor from my lifeforms.

Blessings
The nature gods and demigods are watching the spirits compete, and they give recommendations to Fisaven based on whether the spirit follows their rules. If a spirit has the blessing of one of the gods, it either makes the spirit more favorable in the eyes of Fisaven or grants the spirit additional abilities for a short time.
- Two piles of Branchlets are depleted, OR
- All eight Flowers have been used, and one pile of Branchlets is empty.
If I grow my tree in a way that satisfies the conditions of a Blessing, I’ll receive the benefits of that Blessing. There are different types of Blessings, some of which are only available to certain spirits. Some Blessings have instant effects, while others change how I earn Favor. However, it’s important to note that I’m not obligated to meet these requirements when growing my tree.
For instance: If you uncover the Blessing of Ryten, I’ll reward the tree with the greatest width that you can measure with a ruler by granting an additional 3 points at the end of the game.
The Game’s End
The game concludes when either:
The spirit that accumulates the highest number of points claims victory and ascends to the esteemed position of Demigod of Trees!
