Once you’ve chosen your word, you have one minute to draw it. Remember, the clock is ticking, so you’ll want to sketch quickly and creatively. You don’t need to be a master artist; just do your best to capture the essence of the word.

While you’re drawing, the other players will be trying to guess what you’re drawing. They have their own set of cards with the same words, so they’ll be using those as a guide. It’s a race against time to see who can figure it out first!

Once the minute is up, it’s time for the big reveal. Show your drawing to the other players and see if they guessed correctly. If someone gets it right, both you and the guesser get a point. If no one guesses correctly, nobody gets a point. The goal is to earn as many points as possible, so keep those guesses coming!

First things first – Setup:

Before we get started, make sure each player has their very own Drawing Tablet, a Dry-Erase Marker, and a set of 9 Shape Cards. Each set of Shape Cards comes with a unique border color. Feel free to grab some paper towels or tissues (they’re not included), as you’ll need them to wipe off drawings after each round. Oh, and don’t worry about the 24 Bonus Rule Cards for now. They won’t be used in this game.

When we start playing, it is the youngest player’s turn to go first. Remember, we always play in a clockwise direction.

Now, it’s your turn! You get to choose one of the Shape Cards for everyone to use in this round.

Let’s say you choose the Circle Shape Card. Once you make your choice, everyone finds their own Circle Shape Card and places it under the clear sheet of their Drawing Tablet. Make sure to keep it face up and you can position it in any direction you like.

Remember: Do not draw on the Shape Card itself. The only place you should draw on is the clear sheet of your Drawing Tablet!

So here’s how it goes: I’m the one who picks the Shape Card. I’ll say, “Ready, set, go!” and flip the sand timer to begin the round.

Once that timer starts, all of us can get to work doodling on our Drawing Tablets. We have to include the Circle Shape in our drawings. But don’t take too long, because we only have ONE MINUTE to create four different doodles!

When the timer finally stops, it’s time for the player whose turn it is to shout, “Time’s up!” That’s the signal for everyone to put their markers down.

A More Challenging Game

If you’re looking for a game that’s a bit more challenging, you can try playing with the Bonus Rule Cards. These special cards will not only determine the shape you’ll play but also add an extra rule for each round. And that’s not all! There are also special cards that can give you double points or let you replay a round to see what happens the second time around!

1. Start by shuffling the 24 Bonus Rule Cards and placing them face down in the center of the play area to form a Draw Pile.
2. On your turn, flip over the top card from the Bonus Rule draw pile and show it to everyone at the table.
3. All players must play a Shape Card that matches the shape shown on the Bonus Rule Card.
4. Gameplay continues just like in the Beginner version, with each player drawing a new Bonus Rule Card on their turn.

When you play this game, you’ll earn points based on the doodles you draw. Here’s how the scoring works:

– For every doodle that follows the Bonus Rule, you’ll get 2 points. It’s important to note that the doodles must be unique, meaning you can’t draw the same thing over and over to rack up points.

– On the other hand, if you draw a doodle that doesn’t follow the Bonus Rule, you’ll still earn 1 point. Again, each doodle must be unique to count.

– Sometimes, you’ll come across special cards like “Double Points” or “Memory Rewind.” When you draw one of these cards, you’ll need to follow the instructions on the card for that round. It could give you an advantage or mix things up!

– Don’t forget about the Bonus Rule Cards. They’ll provide additional instructions or challenges to spice up the game.

So, when you’re playing Doodle Challenge, remember to be creative with your drawings and have fun earning those points!

Scoring

It’s time to talk about how we score the game. Let’s start with the player who is taking their turn. Each player will explain their doodles to everyone else at the table. Here’s the interesting part: you get 1 point for each doodle that is unique, meaning you’re the only one who drew it. But here’s the catch: if someone else drew the same doodle as you, neither of you get any points. So make sure to be creative and come up with doodles that no one else has thought of! The more unique doodles you draw, the more points you’ll get. Now that’s a score worth bragging about!

Hey there! Let’s talk about this cool example. Can you believe that both players drew a face? It’s hard to believe, but neither of them gets a point for it. So, what we need to do is cross out the doodles that don’t score. Remember to keep track of your points for each round at the top of your Drawing Tablet.
