Ranglin’ Rabbits Game Rules
Howdy, folks! I’m here to share with ya the excitin’ game rules of Ranglin’ Rabbits. Let’s dive right in and lasso up some fun!
Overview
Now, picture this – a wild field with rabbits hoppin’ around. Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to round ’em up and score as many points as you can. You’ll be a true rabbit wrangler!
Setting Up
First things first, gather your rambunctious crew of players and put the game board in the middle of the playin’ area. Make sure everyone can reach it. Each player then picks a cowboy or cowgirl token and places it at the starting point.
The Game Board
The game board is a field with lots of rabbits and different colored carrots. There are also stumps where you can hide rabbits, so keep an eye out!
How to Play
Y’all ready? Here’s how to get your ropin’ adventure started:
- Spin the spinner to see how many spaces you can move. Time to get your boots movin’!
- Move your cowboy or cowgirl token along the paths on the board. You can change directions at the crossroads if you want.
- When you land on a rabbit, congratulations! You caught one! Take a rabbit card and add it to your score pile. Watch out for them sneakily hidden rabbits on the stumps!
- Now, here’s where it gets interestin’. If you land on a colored carrot, guess what? You get a special power! Follow the instructions on the carrot card – it could be a game-changer!
Winning the Game
The game keeps goin’ until all the rabbits have been caught. Once that happens, tally up your scores and see who’s the top-notch rabbit wrangler. The player with the most rabbit cards wins the game and earns the title of Ultimate Rabbit Ranglin’ Champion!
Wrappin’ Up
And there you have it, my friends – the thrillin’ rules of Ranglin’ Rabbits. Now it’s time to gather ’round, start wranglin’, and create some wild and woolly memories. Have a blast!

Let’s work together as a team to round up those sneaky rabbits and make sure they stay put inside the fence.
The more rabbits we manage to catch and secure, the higher our score will be.
Our goal is to wrangle as many rabbits as possible over the course of three rounds—maybe we’ll even reach the coveted rank of Bunny Genius!
Getting Started
Important: This game works best on a sturdy, level table or a floor without carpeting.

So, here’s what you need to do. First, grab those fences and put them in the stands. You’ll need all four fences for this one. Once you have them in the stands, place them in the middle of the playing area. Make sure the corners touch each other to form a nice square shape.
Now, let’s talk about the action die. It’s the one with fences on it, and you’ll want to keep it within easy reach. Trust me, you’re going to need it.
Okay, let’s move on to the rabbit dice. There are 10 of them, and each die has three icons on it. Pay close attention to these icons, because they’re important. We’ll get into why in just a minute.

Alright, let’s get this game going! First, grab all the rabbit dice and hold them in your hand. Then, get ready to drop them all at the same time. I suggest dropping them from about six inches above the fenced area. Now, when you do this, some of the fences might get knocked over, and the dice will go flying in different directions. It’s gonna be a fun, chaotic mess!

When a die ends up on its side during a game, it is taken out of play and set aside. If a die accidentally falls off the table, it is also considered out of play. Fences that fall off the table should be put back on the table near the side where they fell. If a die lands on or under a fence, it can be moved to a nearby empty space with the same side facing up.
Game Play
When we play Ranglin’ Rabbits, we go through three rounds. I’ll start if I held a bunny last, and then we’ll take turns going clockwise. It’s important to remember that this is a team game, so we’re all working together!
Alright, on your turn, roll the action die. Once it stops, take a look at the side it lands on and choose one of these actions:

When it comes to handling rabbits, you have two options. You can either go after a sleeping rabbit or one that’s already active. Take a moment to survey the area and identify where all the rabbits are. Once you’ve got that down, pick out the one you want to wrangle.

If you want to catch a napping bunny, just grab the dice and relocate it wherever you please on the game board. (Hint: try putting it close to a fence!) But be careful, because moving a slumbering rabbit will wake it up, so make sure to place it down with its awake side facing up.

If you decide to catch an active rabbit, you have two options: either roll it or flick it from where it started.
But be careful! If you roll or flick the die and it lands on the hiding side, that rabbit escapes! You must remove it from the game and put it with the other hiding rabbits.
Bonus Fence Move
After you catch a rabbit, you can also pick up and move a fence. It’s important to think and plan with your teammates about where to place it. Remember, the goal is to create a square with all four fences around as many rabbits as possible.
Note: If you roll a fence on the action die and there are already three fences in place and no more rabbits outside, the round will end immediately.

Bring the hidden rabbit back with a tempting treat! Grab one of the dice that’s not in the game and give it a roll back onto the play area. (If it lands on the hiding symbol, it gets taken out of the game again). That’s the end of your turn. Remember, if there aren’t any hiding bunnies, your turn just ends.

Ready, Set, Hop! Uh-oh, you’ve startled the lively bunnies, and they’re ready to spring into action! Gather all the dice showing an active rabbit and give each one a little bounce, lifting it about 6 inches off the table before dropping it back down.
Watch as the dice hop to new spots on the playing area. (Remember, if a die lands on the hiding icon, it’s out of the game). That’s it—it’s now the end of your turn. Don’t worry, if there are no active rabbits left, your turn simply comes to a close.
The Round Wraps Up
Keep taking turns until one of the following things happens:

- All the bunnies make their getaway. If all 10 dice land on the hiding symbol, the round is over. Sorry, but your team didn’t score any points this time. You’ll get ’em next round!
- You successfully cover all four fences. A round can also end if you manage to put all four fences around the square. This can happen either because the team decides to close them or if a player rolls the fence on the action die when there are already three fences in place and no more rabbits outside to catch.
Note: Make sure the fences surround the rabbits and are placed closely together so that the dice cannot fit through any gaps.
Roll for Bonus Bunnies
If you were the one to close the last fence (or the last person to roll the action die), you have an extra chance to catch any remaining hiding rabbits! Gather all the dice with the hiding symbol and, one by one, roll each one.
If you roll the dice and it lands on a sleeping or active rabbit, you have to add it to the fenced-in rabbits. Keep rolling until you get a hiding side, then the bonus round is over.
Count how many active and sleeping bunnies you rounded up, including any bonus bunnies, and remember your total. Then, get ready for a new round that goes just like the previous one.
End of the Game
The game is over after three rounds. Add up your score from all three rounds and see where you rank:
