Reindeer’s Nose Game
In this game, called Reindeer’s Nose, we’re going to have some holiday fun! It’s a special version of the Pig game, but instead of dice, we’re going to use cards from the Christmas Lights Card Game. Chad Elkins created this version, and it’s super exciting!
So, how do we play? Well, the goal is to be the first one to collect a set of four matching cards. To make things interesting, we’re going to pass cards to our neighbors in every turn. Sounds fun, doesn’t it?
Alright, once you collect your set of four matching cards, quickly put your finger on your nose. This shows that you completed your set and you’re ready to win! However, be careful because the last person to touch their nose will lose the round. Oh no! But don’t worry, it’s not the end.
If you lose a round, you’ll receive a penalty card. And here’s the catch – the first player to get three penalty cards will lose the entire game. On the other hand, everyone else will be victorious! So, who will win and who will lose? Let’s find out!
The Cards and the Deal
To play the game Reindeer’s Nose, you’ll need one color of bulb for each player. Each color should have four bulbs, making a total of 16 cards for the game. For example, if there are four people playing, you’ll need four sets of four colored bulbs.
In addition to the bulbs, you’ll also need pattern cards. These cards will be used as penalty cards for the player who touches their nose last.
Start the game by shuffling the deck and dealing four cards to each player. Keep the stack of pattern cards off to the side.

Let’s Play!
Now it’s time for us to begin! First, I’ll choose a card from my hand and pass it to the player on my left. At the same time, I’ll receive a card from the player on my right. This goes on as fast as possible. I can only have four cards in my hand at once, so I must pass a card before picking up a new one.
When I have four cards that match, I’ll quietly put my finger on my nose. I want to do this as quickly as I can because all the other players will do the same and the last person to put their finger on their nose loses the round. They’ll have to collect one pattern card.
Time to Score!
We’ll keep playing rounds, and the player who’s last to touch their nose will collect a pattern card from the deck. Once I have three pattern cards in my collection, the game ends.
VICTORY
Here’s the deal: the game is all about being the first one to gather three pattern cards. Pretty simple, right? But here’s the twist – in this game, the player who achieves that goal actually loses! Yep, you heard me right. So, while everyone else celebrates their triumph, the ultimate winner is the one left empty-handed.
