IN-BETWEEN CARD GAME RULES
The Basics
I want to talk to you about the rules of an exciting card game called In-Between. This game is easy to learn and a lot of fun to play. To play In-Between, you only need a standard deck of 52 cards.
The Objective
The objective of In-Between is to guess whether a card you receive will fall between two other cards in rank. The ranks of the cards, in order from highest to lowest, are as follows: Ace, King, Queen, Jack, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2.
The Gameplay
To start the game, the dealer will shuffle the deck and deal two cards face-up. The player then places their bet on whether the next card will be in between the two initial cards in rank.
If the player wants to bet, they will say “In” or “Out” to indicate whether they believe the next card will fall in between or outside the two initial cards in rank.
If the player’s bet is “In,” they win if the next card’s rank falls between the ranks of the first two cards. If the player’s bet is “Out,” they win if the next card’s rank falls outside the ranks of the first two cards.
Payouts
The payouts for winning bets in In-Between are as follows:
If the player wins an “In” bet, they receive double their original bet amount.
If the player wins an “Out” bet, they receive a 1-1 payout, meaning they receive the same amount as their original bet.
If the player loses the bet, the dealer collects their bet amount.
Betting Options and Variations
In In-Between, players have the option to bet additional amounts or choose different variations of the game to make things more interesting. Some common variations include betting on whether the next card will be lower or higher than the first card, or betting on specific ranks or suits.
Conclusion
In-Between is a simple and exciting card game that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. Give it a try with your friends or family and see who can make the best guesses. Remember to keep an eye on your bets and always play responsibly. Happy gaming!
Acey Deucey, also known as Maverick, Sheets, Yablon, and Red Dog, is a card game that involves betting. It’s closely related to High Card Pool. Before starting a game of Acey Deucey, you need to decide on the maximum and minimum bets. The game starts with each player contributing their ante, usually two chips, to the pot. The game continues until the pot is empty.
To play, the dealer deals two cards face-up. The player then has to decide whether they believe the third card dealt will have a rank in between the two cards they already have. The player can bet zero or any amount up to the total value of the pot.
If the player’s prediction is correct and the third card is indeed in between the first two, they win their bet in chips from the pot.
If the third card falls outside the range of the first two cards, you lose the round and must contribute your bet to the pot. However, if the third card matches the rank of either of the first two cards, you pay double your bet to the pot. The game is called “Acey Deucey” because the best hand consists of an Ace and a two. In this case, you can only lose if the third card is an Ace or a two.
If you are dealt two aces, split them if the first ace was considered high. In this situation, the dealer will give each ace a second card. You can only bet on one of the hands or decide to pass altogether.
To make the most of your bets, it’s a good idea to wait until there are at least 8 cards between your two cards before placing a bet. For example, 2 & J…3 & Q…4 & K…5 & A. If your cards are closer together, it’s better to pass or bet zero.
There are also variations of the game where you are only allowed to bet half of the pot’s value until each player has taken their turn.
If the first card I get is an Ace, I can choose whether to call it high or low. Keep in mind that the second Ace will always be considered high.
When I am dealt two cards of the same rank, I have two options. I can either ask for two new cards or bet on whether the third card will be higher or lower.
Now, let’s talk about winning. If I want to determine a winner in a game of In-Between, I should decide on a specific number of rounds to play. After we finish all the rounds, the player with the most chips is declared the winner!
