Welcome to Catlantis, a super fun and family-friendly game! The goal is to collect as much treasure, followers, and money as you can by the end of the game. Get ready to dive into the exciting world of Catlantis where you can trade cards with other players and strategically build your way to victory.

GETTING STARTED

Let’s set up the game. Each player gets to choose a cool and unique Mercat figurine to play with. You’ll also receive three Offering Tokens, which we’ll use to keep track of the rounds. Now, draw a Fur Order Card and a Fin Order Card. These cards will reveal the important Mercats you need to recruit during the game. Keep your cards secret!

Once everyone has their cards and tokens, it’s time to set up the deck. Shuffle the deck and place four cards face up next to it. The deck should be placed face down, and now we’re ready to start the game!

How to Play

To begin, the first player selects another player to make an offering to. To do this, you’ll need to show them your corresponding colored Offering Token. Next, choose two out of the four cards in the center and offer them to the chosen player. They must pick one card to add to their hand, and you get to keep the other card.

Each player has a set number of Offering Tokens. When everyone has used up their tokens, the round is over. We flip all the tokens back over and start a new round, with the last player going first this time.

Now, the game ends when there are no more cards left in the Catlantis deck. At that point, we count up our points.

Let me explain how the scoring works. Each card has a different point value.

First, we add up the points from the coin cards. That’s easy, the value is right there in the upper left corner of the card.

Next, we add up the points from the treasure cards. Here’s where it gets interesting. The player with the most treasure cards of one type gets an extra four points. And the player with the second most treasure cards gets two extra points.

So, that’s how you play! It’s a fun game that combines strategy and a bit of luck. Give it a try and see who can score the most points!

Finally, it’s time to reveal the Fur and Fin Cards that players have been hiding. This is where the magic happens! You’ll earn points based on how many Mercats you’ve collected that match the cards you have. The more matches you get, the more points you score. Don’t worry, the reference cards will show you how many points each match is worth. It’s like a secret treasure hunt!

Now, let’s talk about the end of the game. Once all the cards in the Catlantis deck have been used up, that’s when it’s time to tally your points. Add up all the points you’ve earned throughout the game. The player with the highest total wins! It’s all about strategy and a little bit of luck.
