Guilds operate under the same rules. Each Guild has three spaces for dice. In order to place a die, you must meet two requirements:
1. The space for the die must be empty and available, based on the number of players (see Setup card).
2. The value of the die you place must match the number indicated on the space.
Let’s talk about the first condition. When there is an empty space in a Guild and it corresponds to the number of players, you can place one of your dice there. As for the second condition, you have to make sure that the number on the die you place matches the number indicated on the space.
Now, let’s move on to activating Workshops. When you place a die in a Guild, you immediately activate any Workshops that have been constructed in that Guild. If there are any benefits shown on the Building tile, you can choose to receive them. This can give you an advantage in the game.
Remember, the key to success in the Guilds is to strategically place your dice and make the most of the activated Workshops. Good luck!
For example: I have 2 Apprentices in the Artists Guild. If I place a die with a value of 3, I can buy up to 2 Goods and get 2 extra Goods for free (1 for each Apprentice), so I’ll have a total of 4 Artwork Goods.
The Workshops activate from left to right.
- If I place a die with a value of 1 or 2, I activate the first Workshop on the left.
- If I place a die with a value of 3 or 4, I activate the first and second Workshops from the left.
- If I place a die with a value of 5 or 6, I activate all three Workshops.
When a Workshop is activated, the owner of the Workshop receives the reward shown on the board above the Workshop. If I activate my own Workshop, I don’t get the ownership reward.
When playing a 2-player game, the owner gets double the reward. Once you activate the Workshops, you have the option to either end your turn or do one or both of the following actions:

2. Buy Goods:
Buying Goods is really simple – each one costs just 1 Coin. To see how many Goods you can buy, just look at the die slots. You’ll find numbers there: 1, 2, or 3. And guess what? There’s no limit to how many Goods you can buy! Want to represent an even bigger number of Goods? Just grab one of those nifty multiplier tokens.
Step 3: Place Your Workers
Now, let’s talk about Workers. They’re like little helpers that you can place in the Guild. You can either use a Worker from your Workers Lot or transfer an Apprentice from another Guild. The only rule is that the Apprentice slot you place your Worker on must be empty – no squatters allowed!
The number of available Apprentice slots in a Guild is decided by the number of people playing the game. So, if you’re playing with 2 people, there will only be 2 Apprentice slots available. It’s all about keeping things fair and balanced.
Free Goods
When you purchase Goods from a Guild, you get an extra Good of that type for free for every Apprentice you have in that Guild. If you choose not to buy Goods, you won’t receive extra Goods from your Apprentices.
Ability To Buy Workshops
You can only buy a Workshop for a Guild from the Guild Hall if you have an Apprentice in that Guild.
End Of Round Income
At the end of each round, your Apprentices earn Coins. The number of Coins they earn is based on the total number of Apprentices in the Guild, including yours and other players’ Apprentices.
