1. Place Your Bets

Each round starts with a question. The question could be anything from “How many days are there in a leap year?” to “What is the world record for the longest distance run in 24 hours?”

Now, here comes the fun part. I’m going to give you a hint: the answer to these questions is always a number. But don’t worry, you don’t need to know the exact answer. Instead, you’ll make an educated guess and place a bet on whose guess you think is closest.

2. Bet on the Winning Guess

After everyone has placed their bets, it’s time to reveal the guesses. The guesses are displayed on a numbered grid for everyone to see. Take a moment to look at the range of guesses and consider all the possibilities. Remember, the goal is to choose the guess that you think is closest to the correct answer without going over.

Once you’ve made your decision, place your betting chip on the corresponding number on the betting mat. This is your way of saying, “Hey, this is my bet!”

3. Big Bets and Small Bets

Now, there are two types of bets you can make: big bets and small bets. If you’re feeling confident in your chosen guess, place your chip on the big bets section. This means you’re betting more money, but if you win, you’ll earn a higher payout.

On the other hand, if you’re unsure or want to play it safe, place your chip on the small bets section. This means you’re betting less money, but the potential payout is lower. It’s all about finding the right balance between risk and reward!

4. The Big Reveal

Once everyone has placed their bets, it’s time for the big reveal. The correct answer is unveiled, and the bets are settled. Here’s how it works:

• If you placed your chip on the winning guess, congratulations! You’ve won the round and earned yourself some money!
• If your bet was on the losing guess, don’t worry. You’ll lose your bet, but don’t give up. There are more rounds to come!

5. Keep Playing and Winning!

The game continues with new questions, new bets, and new chances to win. At the end of the game, the player with the most money is declared the ultimate winner!

Getting Started

A special note for Team Play

Whether we choose to play as a team or as individuals, the rules remain the same. So if we decide to play as a team, we can simply replace the word “player” with “team” throughout the rules.

Let’s get started! First, we place the felt Betting Mat right in the middle of the table. Then, we put the Blockers over the correct betting spaces, depending on how many of us are playing.

First things first, we need to set up the game. You’ll need a Betting Mat, which is a fancy way of saying a special game board. On the right side of the Betting Mat, there are 7 circles where you’ll be putting your Poker Chips.

But before we get into that, let me explain what Poker Chips are. They’re small round discs that are used in gambling games like poker. In our game, the value of each Poker Chip will be represented by a certain amount of money.

Back to the circles on the Betting Mat. Each circle has a specific value, and you’ll need to match that value by stacking the right amount of Poker Chips on top of it. So, if a circle has a value of $10, you’ll need to stack $10 worth of Poker Chips on it.

One important thing to note is that in this game, you won’t be able to use any Blockers. I know, it sounds a bit strange, but it actually makes the game more exciting!

Alright, now that you know the basics, are you ready to give 7 Players a try? Trust me, it’s a lot of fun, and I think you’ll be really good at it!

So, here’s the deal. You know how when you’re playing a game, there’s always that one person who seems to know all the tricks? Well, in this game of Poker, that person is called the Banker. And guess what? You get to be the Banker!

Now, being the Banker is a pretty big responsibility. It means you’re in charge of all the chips, so you better make sure you’re on top of things. Start by grabbing the Chip Tray and placing it next to you. That’s where all the poker chips are going to go.

But here’s the thing, even though you’re the Banker, you still get to play like everyone else. You don’t have any special privileges, so you better bring your A-game. It’s all about strategy and luck, just like any other game of poker.

Now, the Question Reader gets to be part of the game too, just like everyone else. They will also have 7 Question Cards, just like the other players. So don’t worry, they won’t miss out on the fun!

Game Play

Ask a Question:

Alright, here’s how it goes. I’m going to be the Question Reader, and I’ll grab the first Question Card. I’ll read the question at the top out loud for everyone to hear. Easy enough, right?

Don’t worry! You don’t have to know the exact answers. Just make your best guess!

Organize the Guesses

Turn over the Answer Boards and arrange them from smallest to largest. The smallest guess should always go in a red betting space.

Make your Bets

Your objective is to bet on the guess that will come closest to the correct answer, without going over.

You can place your Betting Tokens on any of the following:

• There’s a betting space where you can make your own guess or bet on someone else’s guess.
• There’s a betting space labeled “ALL GUESSES TOO HIGH”.
• There’s a betting space labeled “RED 1 to 1” or “BLACK 1 to 1”.

There are two ways to place your bets:

• Bet both of your Betting Tokens on the same betting space. You can choose between BLACK and PURPLE for this.
• Split your Betting Tokens between any two betting spaces. The available colors for this option are all the other colors.

Note: It’s important to remember that you won’t lose your Betting Tokens, so always bet them both.

Paying the Winners

1. Determining the Winning Guess: Once all bets are placed, flip over the Question Card and reveal the correct answer. The winning guess is the one that comes closest to the correct answer without going over. In case all the guesses go over the correct answer, please refer to the note on the right. You will have a winning bet if:
   • You placed your bet on the betting space that corresponds to the winning guess.
   • You placed your bet on the “RED 1 to 1” betting space and the winning guess is within a red betting space.

When you play the game, there are a few important steps to keep in mind. First, you place your bet on the “BLACK 1 to 1” betting space. If your guess is correct and the winning space is indeed black, you win the bet.

Next, the Banker will award a bonus to the player who made the winning guess. The bonus is the Poker Chip stack on the corresponding round circle.

Then, the Banker will clear any bets that are not on a winning space from the Betting Mat.

After that, the Banker will pay out the winning bets. If you placed a bet on a winning space, you will receive Poker Chips as a payout. The amount you receive is determined by the size of your bet and the payout odds for that particular betting space. You will also get your original bet back.

Lastly, if all the guesses are higher than the correct answer, only the 6 to 1 betting space will pay out. In this case, there will be no bonus awarded for the round.

Remember, these steps are important to follow in order to play the game successfully and have a chance at winning some Poker Chips. So, place your bet and let the game begin!

So here’s what happens: I’m the Banker, and when you lose a round, I take away the Poker Chips and give them back to the bank.

Time for the Next Round

Now it’s time to start over. You get back both of your Betting Tokens, your Answer Board, and any Poker Chips you won. Just erase your Answer Board and we’ll begin the next round at Step 1.

Let’s Raise the Stakes: Once we finish Round 1, you can bet any of those Poker Chips you won. Check out page 6 for all the details.

Game Over

At the end of the 7th round, whoever has the most money wins! In case of a tie, the youngest player takes the prize.

Betting with Poker Chips

After Round 1, some lucky players will have won some Poker Chips. You can use these chips to increase the amount you bet, with the hope of winning even more cash. But hold on, because there’s a catch.

If your bet doesn’t work out and you lose, those Poker Chips are gone forever and they go back to the bank. Just remember, you don’t have to use any of the chips you won if you don’t want to.

If you want to add Poker Chips to your bets, there are some important rules to follow:

• Always stack the Poker Chips underneath one of your Betting Tokens. This helps the Banker keep track of who placed each bet and who will receive the payout.
• You can stack as many Poker Chips as you like under each Betting Token. There is no limit to the size of a bet.
• Remember, you can only place up to two bets per round because you only have two Betting Tokens.

$1, $5, $10 and $25 Poker Chips

When more than one player writes the same

Talk about an interesting situation! Can you imagine if two people wrote the same thing? It would definitely lead to some confusion. But this would slow down the process of retrieving data. Instead, when a collision occurs, the computer needs to come up with a different way to handle it.

There are a few different strategies that can be used to handle collisions. One common method is called chaining. In this method, each location in memory has a linked list associated with it. When a collision occurs, the new piece of data is added to the linked list at that location. This way, when you want to retrieve data, you can just follow the linked list to find it.

Another strategy is called linear probing. With linear probing, when a collision occurs, the computer simply looks for the next available location in memory and stores the data there. This means that the data might not be stored in the same location as it was originally intended, but it does make retrieval faster.

So, as you can see, collisions are an interesting challenge in computer science. When multiple pieces of data are converted into the same hash value, it’s important to have a plan for what to do. Whether it’s chaining or linear probing, there are strategies in place to ensure that data can be stored and retrieved efficiently.

So, here’s the deal: we’ve got two guesses that say the answer is “30.” They’re both right next to each other, just like that.

So here’s the deal: You’ve got two guesses, both saying “34,” and guess what? They’re right next to each other, separated by a special something called a Blocker. Who would’ve thought?

Make Your Bets:

If there are multiple guesses and one of those guesses wins, all bets on that guess will be paid out. So, when placing your bets, be sure to bet on the option with the highest payout odds.

When it comes to betting on the roulette wheel, most people tend to avoid the 3 to 1 space with “30” because the odds are better on the 4 to 1 space with “30”.

Let’s Talk About Bonuses

Now, let’s say there’s more than one person who made the winning guess. In that case, all of those players will receive the full bonus for that round. And where does the extra bonus come from? Well, it comes from the bank, of course!

Time to Pay the Winners:

• If there are winning guesses on multiple betting spaces, the payouts will be based on the highest payout odds from those spaces. Take a look at the GRAY, ORANGE, and PURPLE spaces to understand what I mean.
• If a winning guess is on a red space, then a bet placed on the “RED 1 to 1” space will pay out. Just check out the YELLOW space for more information.
• Similarly, if there’s a winning guess on a black space, then a bet on the “BLACK 1 to 1” space will pay out. You can find more details in the PINK space.

For example, let’s say someone guessed “34” and it turned out to be the winning number. In this case, there are 3 betting spaces with “34”, so it’s time to pay out!
