When you finish playing a game, there are often leftover pieces that need to be divided among the players. I’ll show you what each player should receive and how it should be organized on the following page.

To start, put the game board in the center of the table. Keep the 50/100 point cards near the 50 space on the score track. Take the 18 Goal cards, shuffle them, and put them face down in a pile next to the board.

How to play The Voyages of Marco Polo Official Rules UltraFoodMess

Hey there! Let’s get started with setting up the game. I’ll guide you through the process.

First, we need to organize the money. You’ll find 40 coins, including 1s, 5s, and 10s. Place them in a general supply next to the board.

Next, we have the goods. We’ve got gold, pepper, and silk. Oh, and don’t worry about the size differences. The larger pieces count as three of the smaller ones. Place the goods and the camels in the general supply next to the board. There’s no limit on the supply, but if we run out, we’ll find something else to use.

Now, let’s set up the City Bonus markers. We’ve got 6 of them. Look for the spaces on the board with letters that match the ones on the markers. Place the markers on those spaces.

Time to prepare the outpost bonuses. We’ve got 10 of them. Shuffle them facedown and place one faceup on each large city on the board. Any bonuses we don’t use, just return them to the game box.

Finally, let’s deal with the City cards. Grab the 31 cards and shuffle them facedown. Now, place one card face up on each of the 9 City card spaces on the board. The remaining city cards can go back into the game box since we won’t be needing them.

And that’s it! We’re all set up and ready to start playing. Have fun!

How to play The Voyages of Marco Polo Official Rules UltraFoodMess

Alright, let’s get started! First, set aside the 6 starting contracts. We won’t be needing them just yet. Now, take the remaining contracts and shuffle them up. Once shuffled, divide them into 5 piles, with each pile containing 6 contracts. After that, you’ll be left with 8 contracts.

Next, grab one of the piles and place one contract faceup onto each contract space on the board. Take the other 4 piles and put them next to the board. Now, take those 8 leftover contracts and create a special pile. Put this pile next to the board as well, but keep it somewhat separated from the others.

Now it’s time to deal with the Character tiles. Place the 10 tiles faceup next to the board. Keep in mind that some characters have special extras. For now, leave the 2 black trading posts, the white die, and one figure in each color in the box. You can find a summary of the different characters in the supplement.

How to play The Voyages of Marco Polo Official Rules UltraFoodMess

Alright, let’s get started! Take those five black dice and place them on the board, right on the spot that shows a black die. It doesn’t matter what values are on the dice. Now, here’s something interesting – the player who has recently gone on a journey around the world gets to be the start player. To make things official, give that player the hourglass.

Setting Up the Players

First things first, each player needs to pick a color. Once you’ve chosen your color, grab the player board that matches it and place it right in front of you. Now it’s time to grab those five dice in your chosen color and place them in the marked dice space up in the upper right corner of your board. Now, take your nine trading posts, also in your color, and put them in their marked spots up in the upper left corner of your board.

Now that we’re all set up, it’s time to get our contracts. Remember those starting contracts we set aside? Well, now we’re going to use them. Each player chooses one contract from the pile without looking, and then places it face-up on one of the two active contract spaces on their player board.

How to play The Voyages of Marco Polo Official Rules UltraFoodMess

Alright, here’s how we’re gonna start the game. First things first, I’m gonna give you 2 camels, and you gotta put them in your warehouses. And hey, listen up! I’m gonna give you 7 coins, to begin with.

Now, for the rest of the players, we’re gonna mix it up. The next player in clockwise order will get 8 coins, the player after that will get 9 coins, and finally, the last player will get 10 coins. Make sure you guys keep your money on the table in front of you.

Now let me tell you about the characters for our first game. We’ve got Rashid ad-Din Sinan starting us off, then we’ve got Matteo Polo, Berke Khan, and Mercator ex Tabriz. Once we get the hang of the game, you can pick your own characters, but for now, let’s stick to this crew.

How to play The Voyages of Marco Polo Official Rules UltraFoodMess

Hey there! Let’s get started with the game. I’m going to give you 2 figures in your color. Take one of them and place it on the 50-point space on the score track. The other one goes to Venezia. Now, I’ll deal you 2 facedown cards from the Goal card pile. Make sure to keep them a secret.

Once you’re familiar with how the game works, you can choose your own Goal cards. You’ll find them in the supplement. Oh, and don’t forget to take a player aid as well. Now, we’re all set to begin playing!

So, what’s the goal of the game?

In this game, we’re all Marco Polo’s associates, exploring new areas as we travel with him. The objective is to collect as many points as possible by completing contracts and visiting different cities. These completed contracts not only give you victory points, but also offer discounts and special privileges in the cities you visit. The more cities you visit, the better the chance of scoring big!

Did you know that games can help you achieve your goals? And in this game, the person with the most victory points at the end is the winner!

Playing the Game

We take turns playing this game in a circle. Each player takes a turn, rolling their dice and using them to do things on the game board. We keep going until everyone has used all their dice, and then that round is over.

The game lasts for 5 rounds, and after that, we do a final scoring. If you want to know more about each round, you can find a summary on page 16. But for now, let’s just start with one round and learn about the actions we can take.

A Turn in the Game

When it’s your turn, you choose at least 1 die from your board and put it on the game board where you want it to go.

When playing the game, you have the option to place your dice on vacant brown or blue action spaces, or on blue spaces that are already occupied. Once you place your dice, you can immediately carry out the corresponding action.

In addition, you have the opportunity to perform bonus actions before or after your regular action. The choice is yours.

Throughout the game, it is important to keep in mind that you must choose and complete exactly one action as long as you have dice remaining. Once all your dice have been placed, you will pass automatically and your turn will be over for this round. The next player in clockwise order will then take their turn. This continues until all players have placed all their dice, signaling the end of the round. Next, we will explore the game board and delve into the specific actions.

There are different regions in the game, each with its own set of actions. I will explain the 6 main actions and the bonus actions.

The 6 main actions are:

– Taking 5 coins. You can collect 5 coins to use in the game.

– Going to the bazaar. This action allows you to visit the bazaar where you can buy and sell goods.

– Seeking the Khan’s favor. By seeking the Khan’s favor, you can gain extra points and rewards.

– Taking a contract. This action allows you to take on a contract and fulfill its requirements for rewards.

– Traveling. You can travel to different locations on the game board to gain advantages and complete objectives.

– City card actions. City cards provide you with various actions that you can take to enhance your gameplay.

In addition to the 6 main actions, there are bonus actions that can give you additional benefits. These bonus actions include:

– Completing 1 contract. This bonus action allows you to finish a contract and gain rewards.

– Taking 3 coins. You can collect 3 extra coins to use during the game.

– Rerolling 1 die. If you’re not happy with the result of a dice roll, you can reroll 1 die.

– Adjusting 1 die result by 1. You have the option to change the result of 1 die by 1.

– Taking 1 black die. This bonus action allows you to add a black die to your collection.

Now that you know the different regions and their associated actions, you can make strategic decisions to maximize your chances of winning the game. Don’t forget to use both the main actions and the bonus actions to your advantage!

The Actions

How to play The Voyages of Marco Polo Official Rules UltraFoodMess

When it comes to performing an action, there are some important things to keep in mind:

  • I can only use my own dice, not the ones belonging to other players.
  • I must use the same number of dice as shown on the action space I want to use.
  • I can place my dice on empty brown or blue spaces, or blue spaces that are already occupied. For now, let’s assume that all action spaces are empty.
  • If I want to use an occupied blue action space, I have to pay coins. I can’t use an already occupied brown action space.
  • I can only use each player color (blue, yellow, green, red) once on each action space.
  • Once I’ve placed my dice, I have to immediately carry out the corresponding action.

The dice tell me how many times I can do something or how much I can get (except for Take 5 coins, which is always the lowest). Usually, I can choose to do less or get less if I want, but I have to do it at least once.

Now, let’s talk about how to actually do an action:

1. First, I need to place my dice.

2. If I have to pay coins, I’ll do that.

3. Finally, I can perform the action!

I hope that helps! Now let’s move on to the action called “Take 5 Coins.”

Do you want to take 5 coins? No problem! Just add 1 die to the “Take 5 coins” space, and you’re good to go. It doesn’t matter what value your die has – you still get to take 5 coins. However, if someone else has already occupied the space, you’ll need to pay to place your die there before you can take the coins. Check out page 13 for more details on how to pay and perform the action.

Example: I put a 3-value die in the “Take 5 coins” spot. I grab 5 coins from the big pile.

Welcome to the Amazing Market

How to play The Voyages of Marco Polo Official Rules UltraFoodMess

First and foremost, the most important thing you need to complete contracts is goods. You’ll also find City cards in the larger cities that can be used to trade goods for coins, camels, or points. And don’t forget, goods can also earn you points during final scoring.

Choose One of the Four Unique Action Spaces to Place Your Dice.

How to play The Voyages of Marco Polo Official Rules UltraFoodMess

You gotta use the number of dice specified by the action space you pick. For instance, let’s say you’re playing as the Blue player. If you place 2 dice, a 4 and a 5, on the “silk” action space, that means you get two goods. Simple, right?

How to play The Voyages of Marco Polo Official Rules UltraFoodMess

On the right side of the action areas, you’ll see a chart that shows how many goods you get. The number of goods you receive is determined by the lowest number on the die you use.

In this case, Blue used a 4 as their lowest die value, so they get to take 3 silk from the supply.

Take the Goods and Add Them to Your Player Board.

How to play The Voyages of Marco Polo Official Rules UltraFoodMess

When you play the game, you’ll need to move the items from the common pool and put them into your personal game board’s storage area.

How to play The Voyages of Marco Polo Official Rules UltraFoodMess

So here’s what I do: I grab 3 silk from the pile and put them in my warehouse. But get this – I could actually take fewer than that if I feel like switching things up a bit. It’s nice to have some options, you know?

The Camels

Now, camels are pretty handy to have around. They’re useful for completing certain contracts, moving along specific routes, tweaking the results of your dice, and getting those black dice. Oh, and some of the cards in the big cities need camels too. So how do you get them?

It’s as simple as this: take camels from the general supply based on the value of your die. Then, just stash them away in your warehouse. Easy peasy!

Hey there! Let me tell you a cool story. So, there’s this guy named Green who’s got a bunch of camels. He takes 6 camels from the general supply and puts them in his warehouse. Pretty smart move, right?

Oh, and here’s a tip for you: when you’re taking camels, it’s not really worth it to go for a smaller number. Just thought you should know.

Get on the Khan’s Good Side

Now, let me tell you about another way to get some goods. It’s called the Khan’s Favor. All you gotta do is put one die on the “Khan’s Favor” action space. Then, you get to choose one good for yourself and snatch 2 camels from the general supply. But, of course, you gotta put them in your warehouse. Got it?

A Few Rules to Keep in Mind

How to play The Voyages of Marco Polo Official Rules UltraFoodMess

Once upon a time, I entered the realm of the Khan, competing for his favor. To begin my quest, I placed my die on the left-most die-space and eagerly awaited my reward. But little did I know, the road to victory was not an easy one.

As I prepared to take my next action, I was faced with a daunting challenge. I could only use a die that had a value equal to or greater than the one previously placed. It was a test of both strategy and luck. Would I be able to meet this requirement and continue my journey?

But I was not alone in my pursuit. Other players also sought the Khan’s favor, and they too faced the same rules. Each of us had to carefully consider our options and make the best move possible. The competition was fierce, and the stakes were high.

As I navigated through the game, I couldn’t help but marvel at the complexity of the task. It required me to think ahead, anticipate my opponents’ moves, and make quick decisions. It was a challenge unlike any other, and it pushed me to the limits of my abilities.

Yet, despite the difficulties, the journey was also filled with excitement and anticipation. Every move I made brought me closer to victory, and every success felt like a small triumph. The game had a way of keeping me on the edge of my seat, constantly wondering what would happen next.

As I reflect on my experience, I realize that the Khan’s favor is not easily won. It demands both skill and determination. But it also rewards those who are willing to take risks and think outside the box. It is a game that challenges us to be the best version of ourselves.

So, if you’re ready to embark on a thrilling adventure and test your abilities, then the Khan’s favor is waiting for you. Take your place at the table, roll the dice, and let the journey begin. Are you up for the challenge?

Example: I put a 3 on the first “Khan’s Favor” action space. This means I get 1 gold and 2 camels from the supply.

How to play The Voyages of Marco Polo Official Rules UltraFoodMess

When I play as Red, I get to place a 4 on the next “Khan’s Favor” action space. I also get to take 1 gold (although I could have chosen something else) and 2 camels from the supply.

Keep in mind: There are only 4 unique spaces in this action space. Once all 4 spaces are filled, no one can choose this action for the rest of the round. Each player color can only be used once on this action space.

Let’s Talk About Contracts

The reason we go to the bazaar is for the contracts. To take contracts, you just need to place 1 die on the “Contracts” action space. From there, you can choose 1 or 2 contracts from the spaces on the board, and place them in the active contract spaces on your board. The value of the die you use determines the contracts you can pick.

How to play The Voyages of Marco Polo Official Rules UltraFoodMess

When you’re playing the game, it’s helpful to understand the significance of placing your dice onto different action spaces. Each action space represents a different opportunity or benefit that you can gain in the game. Depending on the strategy you’re pursuing, you’ll want to carefully consider where you place your dice.

For example, if you’re looking to increase your income, you might choose to place your dice on the action spaces that provide coins or other resources. On the other hand, if you’re focused on expanding your influence and power, you might opt for action spaces that allow you to build new structures or gain additional dice.

It’s important to note that placing your dice on certain action spaces may also have a negative or blocking effect on other players. By strategically blocking your opponents from accessing certain resources or actions, you can gain an advantage in the game.

As you play the game and gain more experience, you’ll develop your own unique strategies and approaches. You’ll learn to consider not only the immediate benefits of each action space but also the long-term impact on your overall game plan. By carefully planning your actions and making informed decisions, you can maximize your chances of success in the game.

So, the next time you’re playing, take a moment to think about where you want to place your dice. Consider your goals and the resources you need to achieve them. With careful planning and a little bit of luck, you’ll be able to execute your strategy and come out victorious.

How to play The Voyages of Marco Polo Official Rules UltraFoodMess

When it comes to playing the game, Blue, also known as “you,” can choose to take 1 or 2 contracts and add them to your player board. It’s important to remember that each contract offers different rewards and requires careful consideration.

If you decide to take the contract below the number 5, you not only receive the contract itself but also get an extra 1 coin or 1 camel from the general supply. On the other hand, if you opt for the contract below the number 6, your reward doubles, and you receive 2 coins or 2 camels.

But that’s not all!

After you’ve made your choice and taken your contracts, it’s crucial to slide the remaining contracts on the board to the left. This ensures that there are no empty spaces between contracts, and all gaps are filled. Keeping the board tidy and organized is essential to keep the game flowing smoothly.

How to play The Voyages of Marco Polo Official Rules UltraFoodMess

Once you’ve got your contracts, make sure to shift any remaining contracts to the left.

If there’s only one contract left on the contract spaces, you can only choose that one on your turn.

If all of the contract spaces are empty when your turn starts (before you do anything else), take two contracts from the special contracts pile and place them under contract spaces 1 and 2.

Your player board can hold up to 2 contracts. When you get new contracts, you must have enough space for them, or you’ll have to make room. If you don’t have enough space, you need to first discard one or both of your older contracts, adding them to the bottom of the special contract pile.

How to play The Voyages of Marco Polo Official Rules UltraFoodMess

Example: Imagine this scenario: I’m playing a board game and I decide to take 1 contract from the board. There’s just one problem – my player board is completely filled up. So what do I do? Well, I have to make a decision. I choose to get rid of one of my ‘older’ contracts by adding it to the bottom of the special pile. That way, I can make room for the new contract by placing it on my player board.

Special Rules

Now, these rules only come into play in certain situations, but it’s important to know them well:

  • You can’t just take a contract from the board and add it directly to the special pile. No, no. You must always add new contracts to your player board first.
  • Here’s the thing – as long as your contracts are sitting on your active contract spaces, they don’t actually count for anything. Yep, you heard me right. You have to complete them first before they become worth something.

Travel

So, here’s how you can move your character around the map!

First, you need to place two dice on the “Travel” action space. Doing this will give you the ability to move your character on the map. It’s pretty neat!

Now, let’s talk about the steps involved in moving your character. It’s actually quite simple!

Step 1: Roll the two dice that you placed on the “Travel” action space. The numbers you roll will determine how many spaces you can move your character. It’s like a mini-game within the game! Roll high and you’ll go far!

Step 2: Count the total number on the two dice. Let’s say you rolled a 3 and a 4, that means you can move your character a total of 7 spaces. Pretty cool, right?

Step 3: Now that you know how many spaces you can move, it’s time to actually move your character. Look at the map and choose the direction you want to go. You can move your character vertically, horizontally, or diagonally. It’s totally up to you!

Step 4: Finally, move your character the number of spaces determined by the dice roll. You can move your character in a straight line or change direction as you wish. Just make sure to follow the path and avoid any obstacles along the way!

And that’s it! That’s how you move your character around the map. It’s a simple but essential action that will help you navigate the game world and explore all it has to offer. So, get those dice ready and start your adventure!

How to play The Voyages of Marco Polo Official Rules UltraFoodMess

Red puts 2 dice on the action space.

How Do I Move?

Put Your Dice.

How to play The Voyages of Marco Polo Official Rules UltraFoodMess

When it’s time to take action, the value of the lowest numbered die comes into play. It determines how many spaces you can move. But remember, you’re in control, and you can always choose to move fewer spaces if you’d like. Just make sure to move at least 1 space. Let’s look at an example: Suppose I, Red, place a 2 and a 4 on the action space. In this case, I can move up to 2 spaces on the map because the lowest die value is a 2.

Time to Pay for Your Travels!

How to play The Voyages of Marco Polo Official Rules UltraFoodMess

When you take an action to “Travel” in the game, each space you move through has a cost associated with it. This means that you have to pay for your movement, but only for the spaces you actually move. You’ll need to give back the required payment to the general supply.

For example, let’s say I want to move 2 spaces on the map. In order to do that, I’ll have to pay 7 coins. Once I pay the necessary coins, I return them to the general supply.

Be Prepared for Additional Costs

When I want to go from one place to another in the game, there are sometimes extra costs involved. I might have to pay camels or coins. If that’s the case, I need to make sure I have enough of those resources to cover the additional expenses. I can take camels from my warehouse and return them to the general supply. Or, I can pay coins and give them back to the general supply. It’s important to remember that these extra costs are added on top of the regular movement costs.

Let me give you an example. Say I want to use a certain route that requires 2 camels. I will need to take those camels from my warehouse and return them to the general supply. Alternatively, if I want to use a different route that costs 7 coins, I will need to pay that amount and return the coins to the general supply.

How to play The Voyages of Marco Polo Official Rules UltraFoodMessTo use this route, you must take 2 camels from your warehouse and return them to the general supply.

How to play The Voyages of Marco Polo Official Rules UltraFoodMessTo use this route, you must pay 7 coins and return them to the general supply.

Move Your Figure And Possibly Place A Trading Post.

Moving Your Figure Around The Map

How to play The Voyages of Marco Polo Official Rules UltraFoodMess

  • If you end your “Travel” action in a big city, you have to put a trading post there. And from your next turn onwards, you can roll the die to activate the City card in that city. The card itself stays in the city.
  • If you end your “Travel” action in a small city, you have to put a trading post there. And you get the bonus that’s mentioned right away (take a look at the supplement for more information). The tile itself stays in the city. At the beginning of each subsequent round, you get the bonus again.
  • If you end your “Travel” action in an oasis, nothing special happens. Oases don’t have any function other than slowing down travel.

For example: Let’s say I’m the red player and I put one of my trading posts in a small city.

How to play The Voyages of Marco Polo Official Rules UltraFoodMess

Hello there! Let’s talk about an interesting game called Red. When I play Red, I get an awesome bonus right off the bat – 1 camel and 3 coins. How cool is that? But there are more things I need to pay attention to while playing Red. Let me explain:

Other Important Details

How to play The Voyages of Marco Polo Official Rules UltraFoodMess

Alright, so here’s the deal – when you’re putting down those trading posts, you gotta start at the top left corner of your player board. Then, just keep going down and to the right. Easy peasy, right?

And get this – once you plop down your 8th trading post, bam! You score 5 victory points right then and there. Wham, bam, thank you, ma’am! And it gets even better. When you drop your 9th trading post, you score a whopping 10 victory points. Can you believe it? That’s how we roll!

How to play The Voyages of Marco Polo Official Rules UltraFoodMess

If you’re visiting Beijing, I’ll show you an important move. When you finish your journey there, you can set up a trading post in the city, just like usual.

But here’s the catch – you need to place it in the spot with the highest number of victory points. Those points will come in handy later on when we tally up the scores.

Here’s a cool thing: you can move back and forth between locations. That means you can pass through or even stop multiple times at the same place.

Now, here’s a rule you don’t want to forget: you can only have one trading post in a large or small city. So, even if you visit a city more than once, you can’t set up another post there.

Oh, and here’s an extra tip: The “Travel” action decides who goes first in the next round. Keep that in mind!

What’s the Deal with the Outpost Bonus?

How to play The Voyages of Marco Polo Official Rules UltraFoodMess

When you’re playing the game, the goal is to be the first to establish a trading post in a big city. If you manage to do this, you’ll receive a special bonus for that city. You simply take the indicated bonus from the supply and add it to what you already have. Then, you can put the outpost bonus tile back in the game box because you won’t need it anymore.

A Few Important Rules

At the beginning of the game, we all start in Venice. During the course of the game, it’s possible that you’ll have to go back to Venice. But don’t worry, you don’t need to place another trading post there.

Once you’ve placed all of your trading posts on the board, the next time you need to make a new placement, instead of adding a new post, you’ll have to move an existing one from one spot to another.

Discover the Excitement of City Cards

Every big city on the board has 1 City card. If you want to use a City card, you need to have a trading post in that city. Once you have a trading post, you can place 1 die on the action space of the City card to perform the action. The specifics of each city action can be found in the supplement.

How to play The Voyages of Marco Polo Official Rules UltraFoodMess

Hey there! Did you know something cool about Yellow? She’s got this awesome trading post in Alexandria. You see, she can put a die on the card and use the action. How cool is that?

How to play The Voyages of Marco Polo Official Rules UltraFoodMess

Please note: You can only use City cards once per round. Once you place a die on a City card space, no one else can use that action until the next round begins.

Keep in mind: In most cases, the value of the die you use determines how many times you can use these actions.

Bonus Actions – Always Your Choice

While it’s your turn, you have the option to perform one or more bonus actions before or after your main action. So, what bonus actions are available?

1. Complete 1 Contract

On the left side of each contract, you will find the required camels and goods. On the right side, you will see the rewards you receive when you finish the contract. You can learn more about the symbols in the supplement.

When playing the game, remember these essential guidelines:

– You can only finish contracts in the active contract spaces on your player board.

– To complete a contract, you need the required goods and camels in your warehouse. Pay the necessary goods and camels back to the general supply.

– Enjoy the rewards displayed on the right side. These rewards usually include victory points and bonuses. Look up the symbols on the supplement to understand their meaning.

– Place the completed contract facedown in your drawer, located in the bottom right corner of your player board.

And here’s what you need to know about the “Take 3 Coins” action:

– Put one die on the money bag symbol on the game board. Take three coins from the general supply.

– No payment is required to use this space, whether it’s occupied or not.

When you’re playing this game, there are several actions you can take to boost your chances of winning. Let’s dive into each action in detail:

1. Main Action: Place 1 Die

In this action, you choose a die from your available pool and place it on an action space. This can be any action space on the board, as long as it doesn’t already have a die on it. Each action space has its own benefits and consequences, so choose wisely. Remember that once you place a die, it cannot be used again until you retrieve all your dice.

2. Bonus Action: Take 3 Coins

No matter what number is on the die you place for this action, you always get to take 3 coins. It’s like finding a surprise reward! And the best part is, as long as you have any dice left, you can keep choosing this bonus action.

Note: Even if this isn’t a main action, you can still place your last die on this action space.

3. Reroll 1 Die

Sometimes, you might not be satisfied with the roll of one of your dice. That’s where this action comes in. By paying just 1 camel, you can give that die another chance and reroll it once. It’s a small investment for the possibility of getting a better result.

4. Adjust 1 Die Result By 1

If you find yourself in a tight spot and need a particular result on one of your dice, you have the option to pay 2 camels and adjust the result of that die by 1. You can increase or decrease the value by one step. However, keep in mind that you cannot adjust a 6 to a 1 or vice versa. There are limits to the power of adjustment!

5. Take 1 Black Die

Last but not least, there is the option to take a black die. This die comes with its own set of unique properties and gameplay opportunities. It can be a real game-changer, so don’t overlook its potential.

These actions are essential for success in the game. By making strategic use of them, you can tip the scales in your favor and come out on top. So go ahead and dive into the game, explore these actions, and seize the opportunity for victory!

Hey, did you know that you can pay 3 camels to snag a black die from the big ol’ stash? Pretty cool, huh? Once you grab one, give it a roll and then add it to the rest of your dice on your player board. Keep in mind, the black dice are limited, but don’t fret! They all go back to the board at the end of each round, so you’ll have a shot at snagging more in the next round.

Oh, and one more thing: You can only take one black die per turn with this super-duper bonus action. So remember that!

Anything Else I Should Know?

  • You can do a bonus action multiple times during your turn, but you gotta pay the cost each time. So, for example, if you wanna tweak a die twice, that’s gonna cost you 4 camels.
  • You can only do bonus actions before or after your main action. So plan accordingly!
  • If you have any black and/or white dice, feel free to reroll ’em or adjust ’em. It’s all up to you, my friend.

The Importance of Choosing the Right Action Space in Board Games

Have you ever played a board game and wondered how to make the most strategic moves? As a player, it’s crucial to understand the significance of selecting the right action space. Let’s explore why this decision can make or break your game.

What is an Action Space?

An action space refers to a specific area on the game board where players can take actions. These spaces are usually limited in number and offer different benefits or opportunities. Choosing the right one can give you a competitive advantage over your opponents.

Occupied Action Spaces: A Double-Edged Sword

When it comes to action spaces, one important aspect to consider is whether they can be occupied by multiple players. Interestingly, board games allow multiple players to use the same action space. This means that you can still take advantage of a valuable action, even if someone else has already taken it.

However, there’s a catch. If you want to use an already occupied action space, you have to pay for it. The cost is determined by the value of the lowest die you’re using for the action. It doesn’t matter what other players’ dice values are, as long as you can afford it, you can still perform the action.

Why Does it Matter?

Choosing the right action space is crucial because it can elevate your game strategy to the next level. By carefully considering your options and evaluating the benefits of each action space, you can make informed decisions that help you achieve your goals.

Additionally, by understanding that you can use occupied action spaces, you open up even more possibilities. This knowledge gives you the freedom to adapt and respond to the game state in real-time, which can be a game-changer.

Additional Points

There are a few other things to remember. These are explained below.

Can You Choose an Already Occupied Action Space?

Yes, in general, action spaces can be occupied by multiple players. All players are allowed to use an action space. When doing so, note the following:

If you want to use an already occupied action space, you must pay for it. You must pay as many coins as the die value of the lowest-value die you are using to perform the action.

This is independent of any dice already present on the action space. The die values of other players’ dice do not matter. Once you have paid, then you can perform the action as usual.

Hey there! So, here’s the deal: the content below is super important, so listen up!

Alright, let’s talk about the different types of customers you might come across. There are two main groups: the knowns and the unknowns. The knowns are people who have already bought products or services from you, while the unknowns are potential customers who haven’t made a purchase yet.

Now, when it comes to these knowns, they can be pretty awesome. They’re familiar with your brand and trust you enough to give you their hard-earned money. But here’s the thing – it’s not enough to just keep them happy. You also want to find ways to make them come back for more. How? Well, you need to give them a reason to stick around. Maybe offer them exclusive discounts or rewards for being loyal customers. It’s all about making them feel special and valued.

On the other hand, the unknowns are a different story. These are people who might have heard about your brand but haven’t tried it out yet. They’re like untapped potential, waiting to be discovered. Your goal is to turn them into knowns by giving them a reason to give your brand a chance.

So, how do you do that? Well, first impressions matter. You need to grab their attention right off the bat. Show them something that piques their interest and makes them want to learn more. This could be an eye-catching ad, a compelling blog post, or an engaging social media campaign. The key is to make them think, “Wow, this brand seems awesome! I need to check it out.”

Once you’ve got their attention, the next step is to build trust. Remember, they don’t know you yet, so it’s important to establish credibility. Share testimonials from happy customers, showcase positive reviews, or provide detailed information about your products or services. The more transparent and reliable you appear, the more likely they’ll be willing to take a chance on you.

Lastly, when it comes to converting unknowns into knowns, don’t be afraid to offer incentives. Everyone loves a good deal, so give them a reason to buy from you. Whether it’s a limited-time discount, a free trial, or a special gift with purchase, these little extras can be the push someone needs to finally make that leap and become a customer.

Ultimately, the key here is to understand your audience and tailor your approach to their needs. Think about what they want and find ways to meet those desires. Whether it’s providing a personalized experience, offering exceptional customer service, or delivering high-quality products, the goal is to create a positive and memorable impression that sticks.

Alright, that’s it for today. Remember, converting unknowns into knowns isn’t always easy, but with the right strategy and a little bit of creativity, you can turn those potential customers into loyal advocates for your brand. Good luck!

Hey there! I wanted to talk to you about something interesting. See, when I play the game, Red has a cool ability: she gets 4 coins for her lowest die value, which happened to be 4. On top of that, she can also take up to 3 silk and store it in her warehouse. How cool is that?

Now, let’s talk about an important rule. When you want to place your dice on an already occupied space, you stack them on top of each other. This way, it’s easier to see who was the last player to choose that action. If there are too many dice, you can put them next to each other, from left to right, making the die on the right the last one to have chosen that action.

Oh, wait! There’s something special you need to know. The Khan’s Favor, which you can find on page 7, only has four spaces. Once all four of those spaces are taken, you can’t choose that action for the rest of the round. It’s a bit of an exception, you see.

  • Now, let’s talk about the white and black dice. They’re a bit different from the player colors like blue, yellow, green, and red. So, if you have a white or black die, you can actually reuse an action space that you’ve already used with your player color. It’s like having an extra chance!
  • Note: Hello there! I’ve got some important information to share with you. It’s all about the fascinating game mechanics of combining dice in Colorful Dice Magic. So, let’s dive right in!

In Colorful Dice Magic, you have the freedom to combine black and white dice with dice of your color. It’s like a mixing pot of possibilities! However, there’s one rule you need to keep in mind – you can never have more than one of your color dice on the same action space, except for when you choose to take 3 coins.

Speaking of action spaces, you might be wondering if there’s a limit to how many black or white dice can be on one. Well, the answer is no – there’s absolutely no limit! So go ahead and strategize your moves by placing as many black and white dice as you want on an action space.

Isn’t it amazing how the combination of different dice colors can elevate your gaming experience? Just remember, when it comes to Colorful Dice Magic, the possibilities are endless. So, dive in, explore, and have a blast creating your unique strategies!

Remember, every decision you make will have a direct impact on your gameplay experience. By following these rules and understanding the mechanics, you’ll be able to make the most out of your Colorful Dice Magic adventure. Happy gaming!

So here’s the deal: I’ve already got some camels this round, thanks to my Green dice. But I can’t use those dice to get any more camels in this round. However, I’ve still got one Black die left, so I can use that to get more camels if I want.

Getting Compensated for Low Die Rolls

Now, let’s talk about what happens if the total of all my dice at the start of a round is less than 15. In that case, I get some compensation in the form of coins or camels. Basically, I can take 1 coin or 1 camel for each point that my total is below 15. And hey, guess what? I can even take a combination of both if I’m able to take more than 1 coin or 1 camel.

For example: I rolled a total of 13 points. I have 2 points of compensation available: either 2 camels, 2 coins, or 1 camel and 1 coin.

The Game Ends

The game comes to an end after 5 rounds. You can determine how many rounds are left by checking the number of contract piles remaining. The final round of the game takes place after the last pile of contracts is added to the board.

After the final round, it’s time for final scoring.

Scoring at the End

During final scoring, you earn victory points for different things:

When it comes to scoring points in the game, completing contracts is crucial. The player or players who manage to complete the most contracts will earn a whopping 7 victory points.

Now, you might be wondering, what happens when we have multiple players with the same number of points? Well, in that case, the winner is decided based on the number of camels each player has. The tied player with the most camels will be crowned the champion. But wait, what if there’s still a tie? In the event of another tie, we have not just one, but multiple winners. Exciting, right?
