Now, here’s how the game works. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to operate on your favorite Toy Story characters to remove their funny ailments. You’ll find characters like Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and Mr. Potato Head in need of your help.

Each player takes turns being the doctor. To start a round, choose a character card and place it on the game board. This will show you which ailment to fix. Uh-oh, it looks like Woody has butterflies in his tummy! Time to fix him up!

Using the tweezers, carefully remove the ailment without touching the edges of the body cavity. Be gentle, though! If you touch the edges, you’ll set off the buzzer, and the patient will shake in pain. We don’t want that, do we?

But wait, there’s more! Some operations are trickier than others. You might come across a card that requires you to remove two ailments at once. That’s going to take some serious skill, my friend. Are you up for the challenge?

The game continues with each player taking turns performing operations and collecting payment from the bank for successful procedures. Keep in mind, though, that you’ll receive double payment for those tricky two-ailment operations. Cha-ching!

The game ends when all the ailments have been successfully removed, and the player with the most money wins. So, make sure to operate with precision and speed to come out on top!

The Goal of the Game

Make the most money by successfully operating on Buzz Lightyear.

Setting Up

First, separate the Doctor cards from the Specialist cards. Next, shuffle the Specialist cards and deal them face-up so that each player has an equal number. Put any extra cards aside, out of the game.

Shuffle the Doctor cards and place them face-down near the gameboard. Choose someone to be the “banker” who will give players money for successful operations. Take each Funatomy part and place it into its corresponding slot on the gameboard.

Playing the Game

Alright, it’s time to get this operation started! I’ll go first, and then it’ll be your turn.

I’ll draw a card from the deck of Doctor cards and read it out loud. This card will give us instructions on what part to remove and how much we’ll earn for it. Let me show you an example.

The doctor will earn $700 for successfully “operating” on Buzz Lightyear’s Radar Rash.

Once we know what to do, we’ll use the tweezers to remove that specific part. Just be careful not to touch the metal sides of the cavity, or else we’ll get a little electric shock and Buzz Lightyear’s wingtip will light up!

Specialist Time

Now it’s time to bring in the Specialists! Each player has a Specialist card, and whoever has the card for this particular “operation” will get to remove the part for twice the payment! Let me show you how it works.

Hey there! Let me break it down for you. So, here’s how it goes: the specialist, who is a highly skilled doctor, is in for a big payday. They have a chance to earn $1400 – that’s double the regular doctor fee – if they can successfully remove the radar rash. Pretty cool, right?

Now, here’s what happens if the specialist succeeds: they get the payment and both the specialist and doctor cards for that “operation” are taken out of play. It’s a win-win! After that, it’s the next player’s turn, starting from the left of the doctor.

But, if the specialist is not successful, don’t worry! They get to keep the specialist card, but the doctor card is put face-down at the bottom of the deck. And just like before, it’s the next player’s turn, starting from the left of the doctor.

Oh, and one more thing – when the specialist card is not available, just place the doctor card face-down at the bottom of the deck. The game keeps on going, and the player to the left of the doctor takes their turn.
