CASTELLION

Hey there! Ready to defend the castle in the middle of the Oniverse? I’m sure you are! Well, here’s the deal: we have to build up our castle defense to protect against three monster attacks. Sounds like a challenge, right? But wait, there’s more! We also have special powers to help us out, but watch out for those sneaky traitors hidden within the castle walls. Together, can we stand strong and triumph over the impending battle?

SETUP

Okay, let’s get things set up. Start by placing the 1st Exam card and 2nd Exam card on the table, faceup between the two of us. Now, from the 3rd Exam cards, shuffle them up and pick one at random. Place it beside the 1st and 2nd Exam cards. The other two 3rd Exam cards can go back in the game box. Great! Now, let’s shuffle up the blue Dream tiles and the brown Dream tiles separately, and keep them in two stacks. Perfect! We’re all set to begin our adventure.

GAMEPLAY

Every time it’s my turn, I have to pull a Dream tile. I can choose to draw one from either the regular pile or the safe pile. There are two types of tiles I can get, and each one has its own actions I can take.

If I draw a defender tile, I can decide whether to place it or get rid of it. But if I draw a traitor tile, I have no choice but to place it.

If I want to strengthen the castle’s defenses by adding a defender tile, I have to follow four rules. First, I have to place the tile next to another tile. Second, I have to place it on top of another tile. Third, it can’t be next to a matching card. And fourth, the castle can’t exceed six by six in size.

There are some special formations that can boost the castle’s defense even more. These include the bastion, the line of defense, and the tower.

If you decide to get rid of a tile, you simply discard it. When you need to play a traitor card, put it on the left side of the lowest ordeal card. Once there are five traitor tiles next to the ordeal card, it’s time for Exam 1. To pass the test, you’ll need the right foundation and specific formations. If you fail, the game ends and you lose. But if you pass, you can keep going.

Exam 2 is triggered when you find two Traitor cards next to it. The third exam happens when there are five Traitor cards next to it. You need to pass all three exams to win the game.

GAME OVER

The game comes to an end in one of two ways. If we can’t pass an exam, we lose the game. But if we pass all three exams, we win!
