Catch the Moon
Welcome to Catch the Moon! It’s an exciting game that requires skill and strategy. The goal is simple: try to collect as few moon tears as possible. Are you ready to give it a go?
Setting Up
Let’s get started by setting up the game. Place the starting base in the middle of your playing area on a solid surface. Next, add two straight ladders to the base’s inserts. Keep the remaining ladders close by.
Now, it’s time to decide who goes first. You can either choose someone or simply pick a player at random.
How to Play
Now, let’s learn how to play the game. We’ll take turns, beginning with the first player and continuing clockwise around the table.
On your turn, you’ll need to place a ladder on the structure. But here’s the twist: you have to roll the die to figure out how to position your ladder on the structure.
Let’s talk about ladder placement options. There are three possibilities you should know. When you roll a die and get a one, the ladder you place must only touch one ladder in the structure. If you roll a two, the ladder you place should touch two ladders in the structure. And if you roll a moon, you need to make sure your ladder is the tallest one in the structure, but it can only touch one or two ladders, no more and no less.
Here’s how you place a ladder. Start by randomly drawing a ladder from the remaining ones on the side of the play area. Then, use your die roll to decide where to put your ladder.
While you’re figuring out the best spot for your ladder, you can move it around as much as you want. Just be careful not to let it touch the base or the ground in any way, or your turn will be over.
If you manage to place your ladder correctly, it’s my turn to play.
But if you can’t place your ladder correctly or if any ladders fall off, you have to take a moon tear. All the fallen ladders and the ones that weren’t placed correctly are taken out of the game, except for the two starting ladders.
END OF GAME
The game comes to an end when the last ladder is placed on the structure or when someone takes the last tear. If you’re the one who takes the last tear, you’re out of the game and can’t win.
The player with the fewest tears wins the game.
When it comes to playing the game, “Tiebreaker,” it’s important to understand the rules and strategies involved. In this game, players use ladders to build structures, and the player who makes a mistake is eliminated. However, if there is a tie between players, they can use any remaining ladders to place on the structure.
If the ladders run out and there are still tied players, they are declared the winners. It’s a double-edged sword, as one mistake can lead to elimination, but tying with another player can give you a chance to continue playing.
Now, let’s talk about a two-player game. In this version, the goal is to collect tears. The player who collects 3 tears first loses, and the other player becomes the winner. It’s all about strategy and making sure your opponent collects the tears before you do.
