How to Play

Now it’s my turn to read the time on the first card out loud. Together, we can think about what we might be doing at that time of day. For example, at 7 o’clock in the morning, do we usually wake up? Have breakfast?

Game 2: Setting the Clock

The goal is to set the clock correctly.

How to Play

Choose the cards you want to play with. Then, turn them over so you can see the digital times on the back and place them inside the game box lid.

Hey there! Let’s play a fun game called Clockwise. Are you ready? Great! Here’s how it works:

The youngest player goes first, and then we take turns in a clockwise direction. When it’s your turn, I’ll hand you a card from the box lid. Don’t let anyone see the clock on it. Now, it’s time to announce the time to everyone!

The player sitting to your left takes the big clock and sets it to the time you announced. Now, let’s compare the hands on the big clock to the ones shown on the card.

If the player set the time correctly on the big clock, they get to keep the card. But if they made a mistake and set it wrong, we’ll put the card back into the box.

Now, it’s the next player’s turn. They’ll take a card from the box and announce the time on it. And the game continues like this.

End of the Game:

The game comes to an end when all the cards have been taken from the box. The player with the most cards is the winner!

For One Child:

You can also play this game by yourself. Take a card from the box and try to set the digital time it shows on the big clock. After that, turn the card over and compare the clocks.

Let’s talk about the next game, “Fast Time”. The goal of this game is to recognize the time as quickly as you can. Here’s how you play:

Spread all the cards on the table with the clock faces facing up. The oldest player starts, and the game continues clockwise. On your turn, you can set any time you like on the big clock.

Now show the clock to the other players and announce the time. While you do that, slowly count aloud to 10.

In this time, all the other players will try to pick out a card that they think matches the time you set. Once each player has chosen a card, they read the time on their card aloud. Finally, you compare which card matches the time shown on the big clock the best.

When you pick a card, you can keep it and put it in front of you. The rest of the cards go back. Then, the big clock gets passed to the next player for their turn. The game ends when someone has collected 3 cards. If that’s you, congratulations! You’ve won!
