Welcome to Diamant Game Rules!

Hi there! I’m excited to guide you through the rules of the amazing Diamant game. Are you ready to embark on an adventurous journey? Let’s dive right in!

The Objective: Your goal in Diamant is to explore dangerous caves and collect precious jewels. But be careful! There are hidden dangers lurking in the dark. You must use your intuition and make quick decisions to maximize your jewel collection while avoiding disaster.

The Expedition: To begin, gather a group of brave explorers and prepare for the expedition. Each player will have a turn to be the leader, guiding the team through the treacherous caves. As the leader, you’ll have to decide whether to continue exploring or return to safety with the jewels you’ve found.

The Cave Exploration: As you venture into the cave, you’ll encounter numbered cards, each representing a different area. You’ll have to decide whether to continue deeper into the cave or turn back. But beware! There are dangers waiting to pounce, such as snakes, avalanches, and rockfalls. These hazards can derail your expedition and cost you jewels.

Choosing Your Path: When you enter a numbered area, you’ll have a limited amount of time to decide whether to continue or return. Before making your decision, you’ll need to assess the risks and rewards. If you choose to stay, you may find more jewels, but you’ll also face a greater chance of encountering a deadly trap. The choice is yours, and every decision matters!

The Gem Collection: Throughout your expedition, you’ll find precious gem cards. These gems represent your score at the end of the game. The more gems you gather, the better your chances of winning. But be careful not to get too greedy. If you encounter a hazard and haven’t returned to safety, you’ll lose all the gems you’ve collected in that round.

The End and the Winner: The game ends when all the players have either returned to safety or lost all their gems. The player with the highest total gem value wins the game. It’s a thrilling race to be the ultimate jewel collector!

Ready to Play? Now that you know the rules, it’s time to gather your friends and start your Diamant adventure. Explore deep into the caves, avoid dangers, and collect as many valuable gems as you can. Remember, each decision can make or break your expedition. Good luck, and have a fantastic time playing Diamant!

The Exciting World of Tacora Cave

Step into a World of Wonder

Hey there! Let’s talk about the game board. It’s like a map that shows your camp and the entrances to the Tacora Cave. There are five paths connecting your camp to each entrance. Each entrance represents a round of the game.

Precious Stones

Precious Stones are like special gems. There are two types: Rubies and Diamonds. Rubies are worth 1 point each, while Diamonds are worth 5 points. In the cave, you can only find Rubies. But don’t worry, you can trade in five Rubies for one Diamond whenever you want.

Expedition Cards

Expedition Cards are like special cards that show you what you discover as you explore deeper into the Tacora Cave.

There are three types of Expedition Cards:

  • #image.jpg
Treasure Cards:

Treasure Cards are like valuable items that you find during your expedition. They can bring you fortune and help you score points.

Trap Cards:

Trap Cards are like dangerous obstacles that you come across in the cave. They can hinder your progress and ruin your chances of finding treasure. Be careful!

Imagine this: you’re exploring a dark, mysterious cave, venturing deeper into the unknown. You come across some strange symbols written on the walls. They seem to be warning signs, telling you about the dangers that lie ahead. As I take a closer look, I see symbols that resemble spiders, snakes, and even lava pits. The sight of these symbols sends a shiver down my spine, reminding me of the treacherous journey that awaits me. With each step, I can’t help but wonder what other challenges I will face. Then, my attention is drawn to a symbol that looks like a giant boulder. It’s a clear warning to watch out for rolling boulders that could crush me if I’m not careful. And just when I think I’ve seen it all, I notice a symbol that resembles a battering ram. It serves as a reminder that even in this ancient cave, there may be some unexpected man-made traps. These symbols are like clues, guiding me through this perilous adventure. They act as a constant reminder to stay alert and be prepared for anything. It’s a constant reminder that this cave is not to be taken lightly. They say it’s important to always look out for these symbols because they can mean the difference between life and death. They are a vital part of understanding the challenges that lie ahead. So, as I proceed on my journey, I keep these symbols in mind and take each step with caution. After all, in this dark and mysterious cave, these symbols are my only guide.

Guess what? There are not one, not two, but a whopping three of each trap awaiting us in this adventure.

Relic Cards:

Decision Cards

Hey, my friend! Check out these nifty Decision Cards. They are your way of letting everyone know if you want to venture deeper into the mysterious cave or play it safe and head back to camp.

Continue Cards:

In the world of board games, there’s a special type of action that players can take. It’s called an “exit card,” and it serves as a signal to the other players that you want to keep exploring. These cards are essential for gameplay, and they add an exciting dynamic to the experience. If you’re playing a game that involves exploration, exit cards are a must-have.

Exit Cards:

Barricade Tiles

Now, let’s talk about barricade tiles. These tiles play a crucial role in progressing through the game. Numbered from 1 to 5, they gradually close off the entrances to the Tacora Cave. After each round, a barricade tile is placed, shutting down one entrance at a time. This adds a layer of challenge and strategy to the game.

Chests

Chests are like special treasure boxes that keep your precious Diamonds safe. They’re a handy spot to stash your loot before venturing into the treacherous Tacora Cave. Any Rubies or Diamonds you place inside a Chest will stay there, guaranteed, until the game is over. So you can explore with peace of mind!

Getting Ready

  1. To start the game, place the game board on a flat surface.
  2. Take all the Expedition cards and shuffle them into a deck with the cards face-down. Put the deck on the designated space on the game board.
  3. Now it’s time to choose your color! Pick a color and take the matching Chest and Explorer figure. Make sure all players can see your Explorer figure.
  4. Each player should also take a “Continue” Decision card and an “Exit” Decision card.
  5. Keep the Rubies and Diamonds next to the game board as the Precious Stone reserve.
  6. Place the Barricade tiles in front of the corresponding cave entrances, next to the game board.

Let’s Play

We will play 5 rounds, one for each cave entrance. In each round, every player will decide whether to go deeper into the cave or return to camp.

A. Let’s Go Deeper into the Cave

When you’re ready to begin, simply flip the top Expedition card from the deck and place it face-up in the center of the table.

Treasure Card

Hey, guess what? I’ve got a super cool Treasure Card to tell you about! You’re gonna love this one, trust me. So, here’s the deal: when you find this special card, you get to take a bunch of Precious Stones from the treasure stash. How many? Well, it’s as many as there are Rubies shown on the card. Pretty neat, right?

But wait, there’s more! You don’t just keep all those shiny Rubies to yourself. Oh no, that wouldn’t be fair. Instead, you have to share them with your fellow cave explorers. Yep, that’s right! You divide up the Rubies equally among all the players still hanging out in the cave. Sharing is caring, after all.

Now, after everybody has their fair share of Rubies, there might still be some left over. Don’t worry, though. You can’t just let those precious gems go to waste. Nope! You simply place the remaining Rubies right on the Treasure Card, for safekeeping. That way, everyone knows where the extra treasure is hiding.

So, there you have it! The Treasure Card is an awesome find that lets you collect Rubies and share the wealth with your fellow adventurers. Happy hunting!

#image.jpg

Example: Let’s say you’re playing a game with five people. In this game, you come across a special card called a Treasure card. When you reveal this card, you see that it has nine Rubies on it. Now, here’s where things get interesting. Each player gets to take one of these Rubies and put it next to their own Chest. That means there are four Rubies left on the Treasure card.

The Rubies you collect during your adventure are like little gems that you keep close to your Chest. But there’s a catch – you have to be careful not to lose them! You see, these Rubies can be lost along the way if you’re not careful. They’re only safe when you return to camp. That’s when you can finally put your precious stones in your Chest, keeping them safe and sound.

But wait, there’s more – Trap Card

So, imagine this: you’re deep in a cave, on an exciting expedition with your friends. The adrenaline is pumping as you explore the mysterious depths, not knowing what danger may lurk around the corner.

Now, let’s talk about traps. Traps are something you need to be aware of. If you come across a trap for the first time, no worries! Nothing happens, and you can continue your adventure. But, here’s the catch: if that same trap shows up again, you and your fellow spelunkers are in trouble. You all have to head back to camp, feeling a bit defeated.

In addition to heading back, one of the two identical Trap cards is taken out of the game, making things even more intense. The other card goes back into the Expedition card deck. And just like that, your expedition is over. It’s a real bummer.

Example: So, here’s what happens: when the first Trap card, which is a Snake, appears, nothing really goes down. The whole expedition keeps on moving. But hold up! In the same round, if another Snake card shows up, things take a wild turn. Every single explorer in that cave goes running for the hills, leaving all their precious treasures behind. And just like that, the whole expedition comes to a screeching halt.

Example: When the weather gets colder, I pack away my summer clothes and take out my cozy sweaters.

But wait, there’s more! When that chilly weather rolls around, it’s time to say goodbye to my summer clothes and say hello to warm and snuggly sweaters. It’s all about being prepared and staying comfortable. You’ve got to keep up with the changing seasons, right?

Relic Cards

When you come across a Relic card on your journey through the cave, something interesting happens. You see, the Relic card doesn’t really do anything right away – it just stays on the cave path, waiting to be discovered. You don’t earn any points for finding it until you actually leave the cave with the card in your hand.

B. What Will You Choose?

Now, here’s where things get really exciting. Before we reveal a new Expedition card, you have to make a big decision. You’re standing in the cave, surrounded by mysteries and treasures, and you have to choose: will you keep exploring deeper into this mystical place, or will you play it safe and head back to camp to secure your Precious Stones in your Chest?

Alright, here’s what you need to do. Grab two cards, one for continuing the expedition and the other for exiting. Take a moment to decide which card you want and place it face-down in front of you. When we’re all set, we’ll reveal our cards at the same time.

If you choose the Continue card, that means you’re up for more adventure and want to keep searching for treasure.

If you pick the Exit card, it means you’ve had enough for now and want to head back to camp. Here’s what happens next:

When I return from the cave, I’ll put my Explorer figure on the camp so that everyone knows I’m back. As I make my way out of the cave, I’ll gather any Rubies that were left on the Treasure Cards along the path. If there are other players leaving at the same time, we’ll split the remaining Rubies equally among us. If there are any Rubies remaining after that, I’ll leave them on any Treasure card in the cave.

Now, here’s where things get interesting. If there’s only one player leaving the cave, they get to take all the Relic cards. These Relics are pretty valuable because they can be exchanged for Diamonds. The first 3 Relics to leave the cave are worth 5 Rubies each, which means 1 Diamond. As for the remaining Relics, each one is worth 10 Rubies, or 2 Diamonds.

So remember, when it’s time to make my way back from the cave, I’ll mark my return with my Explorer figure. I’ll collect any Rubies left on the Treasure Cards, share them if others are leaving too, and leave any extras behind. And if I’m the only one leaving, I’ll be sure to grab those precious Relics and exchange them for Diamonds. How exciting is that?

So here’s the deal: when you find cool things, like super special Relics, you need to put them next to your Chest. But don’t forget to add some Diamonds to each card equal to how precious those Relics are. Rest assured, your Relics will be safe until the game is over, just like they’re in your Chest.

  • When you go on an expedition, make sure to collect all the Rubies you find and put them in your Chest. Don’t worry, your Chest will keep them safe until the game is over. And remember, you can trade in 5 Rubies to get 1 Diamond!
  • After everyone has made their decision, a new Expedition card will be revealed and the path in the cave will get longer.

    The End of the Journey

Your expedition is over when all the players come back to camp or when the same Trap shows up twice in the cave.

Now, let’s move on to the next round:

When I finish a round in the game, I need to put a Barricade tile on the game board to block the cave entrance for that round.

If there are any Rubies left on the Treasure cards, I’ll just go ahead and put them back in the reserve for you.

When I complete the expedition, I need to make sure that I remove any Relic cards that are still in the cave. It’s really important to do this because if I leave any Relic cards behind, they could cause problems later on. Removing the Relic cards allows me to start fresh and ensures that I won’t have any unnecessary complications. So, as soon as the expedition is over, I’ll make sure to gather up all the Relic cards and take them out of the cave.

When you find yourself facing a tricky situation, it’s crucial to consider all the options available to you. Sometimes, the best course of action is to take a step back and analyze the situation from a different angle. This is where understanding the importance of making informed decisions comes into play.

One key factor to keep in mind when evaluating your options is the potential risks and consequences involved. It’s essential to assess if there are any potential traps or pitfalls that could hinder your progress. These traps can be likened to hidden obstacles that can catch you off guard and impede your success.

By carefully considering the information at hand, you can navigate through these potential traps and make better decisions. It’s like removing a trap card from the game before it has a chance to affect you. This is particularly important in expeditions or challenging endeavors, where quick thinking and strategic planning are essential.

Ultimately, making wise decisions requires an understanding of the risks and taking steps to minimize their impact. This involves examining the potential consequences, seeking advice from trusted individuals, and considering alternative possibilities. By doing so, you can approach your decisions with confidence and increase your likelihood of success.

When it’s time to start a new round, I reshuffle all the Expedition cards that have been revealed and mix them back into the deck. This way, we always have a fresh set of cards to play with.

Once the deck is shuffled, I flip over the top card to reveal the first card of the new round. This determines what we’ll be exploring next and sets the stage for our adventure.

    The End of the Game

The game comes to an end when we place the last Barricade tile on the fifth cave entrance. At this point, it’s time to tally up our points and see who emerges as the winner.

Here’s how it works: each player counts how many Precious Stones they’ve managed to put in their Chest. They also take into account the Precious Stones on the Relic cards they’ve collected throughout the game. These Stones are then converted into victory points based on a pre-determined scale. The player with the most points is crowned the champion.

To win, I must have the highest score among all players. It’s that simple. But what if there’s a tie? Well, in that case, the victory is shared between the players who are tied. So, it’s not just about winning alone; sometimes, we can win together.
