So you want to mix things up a bit? Well, I have just what you need! How about taking out the Been There, Done That card deck from the game box? It might seem like a small change, but trust me, it can make a world of difference.

So, here’s what you do: grab yourself a scoring sheet, a pencil, and get ready to choose between two cards – a YES card and a NO card.

Okay, let’s decide who goes first by height. The tallest person gets to start the game.
Let’s Play the Game!
Here’s how to play:
- I roll the Been There, Done That die to see if I should choose a Been There or Done That card from the deck.
- Next, I draw a card and pick one of the four scenarios to read out loud.
- Now, everyone secretly decides if they have Been There or Done That by placing a YES or NO card face down in front of them.
- Each player guesses how many people in the group have played a YES card for that scenario and writes that number on their score pad.
- When we’re all ready, we flip over our cards and reveal our answers one by one.
- We count up the YES cards and score our points based on the number.
Keep Score
Scoring is important, too!

When it comes to playing the game, scoring points is the name of the game. All you have to do is correctly guess how many people in the group have played a YES card, and you’ll earn those coveted points.
Here’s how it works: if you guess the right number of players, you get to circle that number and celebrate a point. But if your guess is off, you’ll have to draw a line through the number and accept that no points were scored this time.
But wait, there’s more!

Bonus points can be earned in the game when a player rolls a +1. If a player rolls a +1, they can choose either a Been There or Done That card.
If a player guesses correctly during a round, they will receive an additional point. They should circle the number and write a +1 in the square to indicate the bonus point.
For that round, the player will receive 2 points – 1 point for the correct guess and 1 bonus point.
The game ends after all 9 rounds are completed, and players add up their points. The player with the highest score wins.
If there is a tie, roll the die and select a Been There or Done That card. The player who can answer yes to the most scenarios on the card wins the tiebreaker.
For larger groups, there is a variation to the game that can be played.
