Q: Can any Motion Sensor on Barrels be triggered?

A: No, only Motion Sensors on Barrels that are floating in the water can be triggered.

Q: If Quint launches a Barrel into the Shark’s space during a round in which the Shark played their Out of Sight Power Token, will the Shark still get hit with the Barrel?

A: Yes, the Shark will still get hit with the Barrel. The Out of Sight Power Token only helps you avoid being detected by the Fish Finder and the Binoculars.

Q: Can Quint launch a Barrel into a space that already has a Barrel floating in it?

A: Yes, Quint can launch a Barrel into a space that already has a Barrel floating in it. If the Barrel does not hit the Shark, the space will have two floating Barrels. There is no limit to the number of Barrels that can be floating in a space.

Q: If the Shark swims through a space with a floating Barrel, will the Barrel get attached to the Shark?

A: No, the Barrel will not get attached to the Shark if the Shark swims through a space with a floating Barrel. A Barrel is only attached to the Shark if Quint launches it into the Shark’s current space.

Q: Can both Resurface cards show the same Resurface Zone?

A: Sure. Having two options in the Resurface Zones allows the Shark to make different choices. However, it also makes it easier for the Crew to target the Shark.

Q: If a Crew Member hits the correct space, can they choose not to attack the Shark?

A: Absolutely. There might be situations where a Crew Member wants to save Ammo, especially if the Shark is good at avoiding attacks. In this case, the Weapon or Ammo is only discarded if it’s actually used in an attack.

Q: Is a Melee Weapon thrown away after it’s used in an attack?

A: Not necessarily. Only if the card specifically says to discard it. Each Crew Member has their personal Melee Weapon Gear card, which they keep unless they’re eliminated from the game.

Q: Do Crew Members have to choose one of the Resurface Zone options when using a Pistol?

A: Nope! You have the freedom to target any Water Space you want. With the Pistol’s ability to move the Target Token, it’s actually beneficial to choose a Water Space that is next to multiple Resurface Zone options. This way, you increase your chances of successfully attacking the Shark.
