TORRES

Welcome to Torres! It’s a game all about managing resources and strategically moving pawns. In this game, you’ll be building castles and trying to position your knights in the best spots to earn the most points. The challenge is to use your cards wisely, because you won’t have any more to use. So, let’s see who can make the most of what they’ve got!

SETUP

First things first, let’s set up the game. Start by placing the game board in the center of the playing area. Now, each player needs to choose a color to represent them in the game. Once you’ve chosen your color, collect a score marker and 6 knights that match your color. Put your score marker at the beginning of the scoring track.

Okay, here’s what we need to do to set up the game:

  • First, everyone gets a codex card.
  • Next, we place the correct phase card on the table and put the other two away.
  • Each player will get ten action cards in their color. Shuffle them up and place them face-down on the table.
  • We’ll also need the king. Put him next to the game board.
  • Lastly, we’ll need the tower blocks. Put them next to the game board to create a common supply. We’ll start with eight towers on the board in their designated spots.

Once everything is set up, we can start playing!

The youngest player goes first, and then we’ll go clockwise around the group. Each player will place one of their knights on an empty castle. The last player in the rotation will place the king on an empty castle, and that castle becomes the king’s castle for the year. Remember, a knight’s level is determined by how high it is above the board.

Now, we’re all set and ready to begin the game!

GAMEPLAY

Hey there! Let me tell you about this awesome game that I recently played. It’s called [GAME NAME]. The game is divided into three parts, which we call phases. And guess what? You score points at the end of each phase!

The first phase lasts four rounds, while the other two phases only have three rounds. Each round, every player takes a turn, going around in a circle. It’s like a rotation, you know?

Now, before each phase starts, we all have to collect tower blocks from the supply. The number of blocks we get is determined by this special phase card. It’s like a magical card, really.

So, here’s how the game starts. The youngest player goes first, and it’s their turn to shine! They have five action points to use. These points are like superpowers that let you do different things in the game. Cool, huh?

There are lots of actions you can do with your action points. You can add a knight, move a knight, place a tower block, get action cards, play an action card, or move along the scoring track. You can mix and match these moves however you want, as long as you have enough action points to do them. It’s all about being strategic!

So, that’s the lowdown on this amazing game. I had a blast playing it, and I’m sure you’ll have a great time too if you give it a try. Happy gaming!

So, here’s the deal: when this phase is over, we all tally up our scores. The points we get come from the castles where we have our knights. It doesn’t matter how many knights we have in each castle – the score remains the same. Once we’ve scored all the castle positions, we also get a bonus if we have a knight in the king’s castle.

After the scoring is done, we jump into a new phase. Each player will get some tower blocks based on the phase card. And here’s a fun twist: the player with the fewest points gets to move the king to any empty spot in a castle they choose. And hey, the game keeps going like this for three phases.

That’s a Wrap!

Hey there! I have some exciting news for you. The game reaches its conclusion once we reach the end of the third year. After that, it’s time to start scoring! Each player will add up their points, and the one with the highest score will be crowned the winner.
