Let’s Play Sinonyms!
Welcome to Hell, where all players are trapped and trying to escape. But don’t worry, there’s a way out! If we win this game, we might just make it out of here. Here’s the deal: we have to come up with Sinonyms – that’s synonyms with a twist – for the words I give you. And we only have 10 seconds to guess! If we can’t, we’re out. So let’s put our thinking caps on, use some slang, and stay one step ahead of the game!
Getting Ready
We need to shuffle the cards really well and put them face down in the middle of the table. Make sure everyone can reach the timer and the cards. Once that’s done, we’re ready to go!
How to Play
In this game, the oldest player gets to go first. They pick up the top card from the deck and read out the subject word to everyone. Then, they reveal whether the pitchfork points left or right, which will determine which team starts.
If the pitchfork points left, it’s the team on the left’s turn. They have ten seconds to come up with a word that means the same thing as the subject word. This word is called a Synonym.
If the pitchfork points right, it’s the team on the right’s turn to come up with a Synonym. They also have ten seconds to do so.
The game keeps going in that direction until a team can’t think of a Synonym. When that happens, they’re out for the rest of the round. The game continues until only one team is left standing, and they win the card!
The winners then draw the next card to start the next round. And the fun continues!
GAME OVER
When playing a game, you get to decide when it’s time to call it quits. And when you do, the team with the most cards is declared the winner!
It’s up to you to determine when the game is over. And when you do, the team that has collected the most cards will emerge victorious!
