Get Ready for a Delicious Game: Point Salad!

Hey there! Let me introduce you to Point Salad – a really fun game that you can play with your family. It’s all about creating the most amazing salads and getting as many points as possible. Trust me, you’re going to have a blast!

Let’s Set Up the Game

First things first, we need to set up the game. The number of players determines how many cards we remove from the deck before we start. If we have two or four players, we take out six cards of each vegetable. For three players, it’s nine cards of each vegetable, and for five players, just three cards of each vegetable. Take these cards out and put them back in the box – we won’t be needing them for now.

So here’s how it works: first, all the other cards are mixed up, and we make three draw piles. Those go in the middle of where we’re playing, face up. Then we turn over two cards from each pile and stack them up in a column below that pile. We call that the veggie market.

How to Play

We start by picking a player at random to go first. When it’s your turn, you can either take one card or two cards. If you choose one, just grab it from one of the draw piles. But if you want to take two, you have to get them from the market. Any cards you take, you put them in front of you, face up, and then it’s the next person’s turn.

Hey there! Did you know that you can turn one of your cards into a vegetable in this game? It’s a cool move, but remember, once it’s done, there’s no going back!

When someone takes a card from the veggie market, we make sure to refill it right away. Just take a card from the draw pile and put it in the empty space. And don’t forget, the veggie side should be facing up!

Now, let’s talk about turns. The player on the left will go first, and then we keep going in that order. We take turns until all the cards have been taken. Exciting, right?!

Once all the cards are gone, it’s time to tally our points. Each player adds up their points to see who comes out on top.

END OF GAME

Guess what? The game ends when there are no more cards left. We add up all our individual points, and the player with the most points wins! Can you be the champion?
