Welcome to the Nain Jaune Game!

Nain Jaune, also known as the Yellow Dwarf, is a fun game similar to Michigan and other similar games. In this game, we use chips to keep track of our scores and see where each player stands. It’s a mix of strategy and luck. The goal is simple – be the player with the most chips and win the game. Are you ready to give it a try?

Let’s Get Set Up!

To set up the game, first, place the gameboard in the middle of the playing area. Then, decide on the seating arrangement by drawing cards from the deck. The player who picks the highest card gets to choose their seat first, while the player with the lowest card picks their seat last. It’s all about luck!

Alright, let’s talk about a fun game called “Chip Placement”. It’s a game where each player gets a certain number of chips, depending on how long they want the game to last. You can choose between fifty chips for a shorter game or one hundred chips for a longer one.

Now, here’s how the game works. Each player needs to place a specific number of chips on different parts of the board. One chip goes on the ten of diamonds, two on the Jack of clubs, three on the Queen of hearts, four on the King of spades, and five on the seven of diamonds. Got it so far?

Once all the chips are in place, the dealer starts dealing the cards. The number of cards given depends on the number of players. For three players, each player gets fifteen cards. Four players get twelve cards, five get nine, six get eight, seven get seven, and eight players get six cards. And that’s it, the game is ready to begin!

GAMEPLAY

When it’s my turn to play, I pick a card from my hand and place it face-up on the table. I can keep playing cards on top of each other as long as the next card is higher than the last one. The type of cards doesn’t matter.

If there are no more cards that can be played, I simply say “Pass” and it’s the next player’s turn. But if there’s a card that I could play, I have to play it. And if I play a card that matches one already on the table, I get to take all the chips from that part of the table.

If you play a King to a sequence, it stops the sequence. You can then choose any other card to start a new sequence. The game keeps going like this until one player has no more cards. That player then takes chips from all the other players, based on the cards they have in their hand.

If they have an ace, they have to give one chip. Number cards cost the number of chips shown on the card. Jacks, Queens, and Kings cost ten chips. At the end of the hand, the players have to pay chips to the board.

The game ends when a player runs out of chips to play. Then, the scores are counted.

THE END OF THE GAME

When a player can’t pay chips to the board at the start of a hand, the game is over. The player with the most chips wins!
