MY GIFT OF GRACE

Welcome to My Gift of Grace, a game that encourages deep conversations. Whether you’re playing with friends or family, each player will need their own box of cards. These cards contain personal details about our lives, specifically the end of life – a topic that many find difficult to talk about.

SETUP

Before we begin, make sure each player has their own deck of My Gift of Grace cards. This way, you can refer back to them even after the game is over. Take a moment to remove the cards from their boxes and separate them into different piles.

It’s important to establish some boundaries before we start playing. Discuss with the other players which topics should be off-limits. This will ensure that everyone feels comfortable throughout the game.

GAMEPLAY

When we play the game, we all take turns. We each have a card – a question card or a statement card. The person who goes first gets to read their card out loud. Then we start talking about it, but we always have to be respectful to everyone in the group.

If the conversation starts to slow down, we can read more cards to keep it going or to talk about something new. The person on the left of the first player starts the next conversation. We keep playing like this until everyone has used all of their cards.

The Types of Cards

Question Cards: These cards have questions about things like what we think or what makes us feel comfortable. They help us talk about end-of-life topics.

Hey there! Let’s talk about these cool cards that can make life better and spark some interesting conversations.

We’ve got two types of cards in this game: Activity Cards and Statement Cards. The Activity Cards are all about taking action and making positive changes in your life. They give you ideas for things you can do right away to improve your quality of life. Pretty cool, right?

Next up, we have the Statement Cards. These cards have quotes from people who have talked about the end of their lives. But here’s the twist – you get to edit these cards and make them reflect on your own life! It’s all about self-reflection and thinking about what really matters to you.

Now, let’s talk about how the game ends. The game ends when you’ve edited and filled out all of the cards. And trust me, that’s no easy task! But it’s totally worth it because these cards can teach you a lot about yourself.

Once the game is over, you’ll have a box full of cards that remind you of the deep conversations you’ve had with others. It’s a way to keep those meaningful moments alive and continue the important discussions about the end of life.
