Welcome to the world of MUSE!
Imagine this: you and your friends gather to play an exhilarating game. There are teams, and each team has a “muse” – a guiding force that leads them on a mysterious adventure. As a muse, your role is to give clues to your team using the cards you have. These clues are like pieces of a puzzle, limited yet intriguing. On the other hand, the rest of the players become artists, working together to decipher your clues and choose the correct piece of art.
Ready, set, go!
First, let’s set up the game. Split the players into two or three teams, with at least two players on each team. Shuffle the Masterpiece card deck and the Inspiration card deck separately, making sure everyone can reach them. The team with the youngest player goes first. And now, the game begins!
The adventure unfolds
Alright, let’s get this game started! We’ll take turns going around the teams, one by one, in a clockwise direction. When it’s your team’s turn, the first thing you’ll do is pick someone to be the Muse. Easy enough, right? The Muse role will change each turn and can be switched up within your team as you see fit.
Now, the team to your left will hand you six Masterpiece cards and two Inspiration cards. Your task is to select one Inspiration card and one Masterpiece card for your Muse to work with. The rest of the Masterpiece cards will be shuffled back into the team’s deck.
Alright, Muse, it’s showtime! You’ll reveal the Inspiration card to your team and give them a clue to guide them to the corresponding Masterpiece card. Just follow the instructions on the Inspiration card. Once your team has a good grasp of what they’re looking for, you’ll hand the Masterpiece card back to the team on your left. They’ll mix it in with the other remaining Masterpiece cards.
Hey there! Let me walk you through how the Muse game works. We start off with the cards, which are laid out in a line, face up for the Muse’s team to see. The whole team then works together to come up with a guess for the correct Masterpiece card. Now, here’s the cool part – the Must, who is like the leader, can’t give any verbal hints, except for repeating the clue that was initially given. They can confirm if the final guess is correct or incorrect, though.
If the guess is incorrect, the card goes to the team on the left. But if it’s correct, hooray! The Muse’s team gets to keep the card. All the cards used during the turn go to a discard pile. Then, the cards are reshuffled, and it’s the next team’s turn in a clockwise direction. It keeps going like this, round after round.
Now, let’s talk about how the game ends.
The game wraps up when a team manages to collect five masterpieces. The first team to do this wins the game! But wait, there’s more. The other teams can still keep playing to find out who comes in second or third. It’s all up to them if they want to keep going and determine the true loser!
