GUESS WHO

Hey there! Have you ever played the exciting game called Guess Who? Well, if not, let me tell you all about it! Guess Who is an awesome deduction game designed specifically for kids like you. And guess what? It’s a game that’s perfect for two players! So grab a friend and get ready to have a blast!

LET’S GET STARTED

Before we dive into the game, let’s go over the setup. If this is your first time playing, don’t worry! I’ll walk you through it. The first thing you need to do is separate the face tabs into two groups, red and blue. Once you’ve done that, you’ll need to insert them into your player board. Easy peasy!

Now that we have everything set up, let the guessing begin! The goal of Guess Who is to be the first player to figure out who your opponent’s character is. Exciting, right? You’ll do this by asking a series of yes or no questions. With each question, you’ll narrow down the possibilities and rule out characters from your gameboard.

Remember, each question you ask should be a yes or no question. This is important because it helps you eliminate characters based on their features. For example, you might ask, “Does your character have glasses?” If your opponent says no, you can eliminate the characters with glasses from your gameboard. See how it works?

Keep asking questions and making deductions until you feel confident enough to make your final guess. Choose wisely, because only one correct guess will make you the winner of the game! It’s like being a detective, using your sharp mind to uncover the truth.

So, are you ready to show off your deduction skills? Grab a friend, set up your game boards, and let the thrilling game of Guess Who begin. May the best guesser win!

In this game, we each get a gameboard and choose a character. We keep our character a secret from the other player. The game is about guessing who the other person’s character is by asking questions about the characters. To play, we tilt our gameboards away from us but keep all the character faces facing towards us. Then, we shuffle the face deck and put it near us. We each secretly draw a card from the deck and place it in the front of our board.

Character Faces

The goal is to figure out which character the other person has. To do this, we look for differences among the faces. Some have glasses, some have boards, and some have blue or brown eyes. These details will help us narrow down who the other person’s character could be.

GAMEPLAY

Let’s get the game started! The youngest player goes first. On your turn, you get to ask a single yes or no question in order to figure out which character you’re looking for. For example, you could ask, “Is your character a girl?” If the answer is yes, you can eliminate all the boys from your options on the game board. Once you’ve asked your question and received an answer, it’s time for the next player’s turn.

If, at any point, you think you know who your opponent’s character is, you can take a guess and ask directly. But be careful! If you’re wrong, you’ll lose the game. Make sure to phrase your question just like any other turn: “Is your character [insert name]?” If the answer is yes, congratulations, you’ve won! But if the answer is no, unfortunately, you’ve lost the game.

MORE CHALLENGE OR CHAMPION PLAY

If you want to make the game more challenging, each player should draw two characters instead of just one. This means that when you ask questions, you have to ask if either or both of your characters have a certain trait. For example, you could ask, “Do either of your characters wear glasses?” If the answer is no, you can eliminate any characters who wear glasses from consideration. But if the answer is yes, you can’t rule anyone out. This means you have to be careful about who you eliminate and remember all the questions you’ve asked before. When you guess the characters, you have to guess both of them at the same time. And you only win if you get both of them right.

If you want to play at a champion level, you can use score markers to keep track of who wins the games. This way, you can determine a winner after a certain number of games have been played.
