FARKLE FLIP
Welcome to Farkle Flip! This is a one-of-a-kind game that requires strategy and good timing. The goal is to create combinations that give you more points. But here’s the twist: you have to leave your combinations out in the open, where other players can steal them!
So, are you ready to take the risk? Are you willing to let someone else steal your hard-earned points? Or would you rather play it safe and earn smaller amounts of points throughout the game? The choice is yours, but remember, in this game, bravery and clever strategy are key to success!
SETUP
Let’s get started with the setup. First, place the score summary cards where everyone can see them. This way, no one gets confused about the scoring during the game. Next, shuffle the cards and deal one card to each player. Each player should place their card face up in front of them, away from the center of the group.
Hey, did you know that in this game, you can use anyone’s cards? It’s pretty cool, right? You can learn as you play! First, put the deck of cards face down in the middle of the group. Next, choose someone to be the scorekeeper. They’ll need paper and a pencil. Now, we’re ready to start!
Let the Game Begin!
The goal of Farkle Flip is to collect matching sets. The bigger the set, the more points you score. So, the player on the left of the dealer goes first. They pick a card from the deck. Then, they have to decide whether they want to play that card with the ones in front of them or give it to someone else to play.
When you make a scoring combination, you have two options. You can either slide the combination to the center of the group for potential scoring, or keep the combination where it is and try to build on it for more points. If you move a combination to the center, you can’t add or change it anymore. You can choose to stop drawing at any moment in the game and score the points you moved to the center. Once the points are on the scoreboard, they can’t be lost, but they can be lost while they are floating in the center.
You can’t take cards from one player’s hand to make a combination in another player’s hand. You can only work with one hand at a time.
So, here’s the deal – when you draw a Farkle Card, you gotta stop right there. No more drawing cards for you! Now, here’s the tricky part – the cards in the middle? Yeah, those can’t be scored. Instead, they become part of the cards you’ve already played, right in front of you. Make sure to put the Farkle Card on the side, facing up, near you. Oh, and just a heads up – no one else can snatch your Farkle Cards. Only you can use them.
When you score some points, grab those cards and put them facedown in a pile. If the deck is running low, you can reshuffle and keep playing. The game continues, going clockwise around the group. The fun ain’t over till someone reaches 10,000 points. But don’t worry, the other players get one last shot to beat that score!
SCORING
If you have four of any number, that’s 1,000 points. Five of any number? Woohoo, that’s 2,000 points! And if you get six of any number, you hit the jackpot with 3,000 points. Now, if you manage to get a straight of numbers from 1 to 6, that’s worth a cool 1,500 points. So, keep your eyes on those numbers, and go for the highest score!
Let me break it down for you:
Three pairs = 1,500 points
Four of any number + one pair = 1,500 points
Two triples = 1,500 points
Single Farkle = 100 points
Two Farkles = 200 points
Three Farkles = 300 points
Four Farkles = 1,000 points
Five Farkles = 2,000 points
Six Farkles = 3,000 points
To get on the scoreboard, you need 1,000 points in one turn. Once you’re on the scoreboard, your points are safe – you won’t lose them. There’s no minimum requirement to stay on the scoreboard.
END OF THE GAME
The game ends when someone reaches 10,000 points. That player is the winner.
The game ends once a player has accumulated 10,000 points. They are declared the champion.
