Dragon s gold game rules – how to play dragon s gold

By: Dennis B. B. Taylor

Welcome to Dragon’s Gold!

I have a team of knights, thieves, and wizards, and I’m ready to go dragon hunting! These fierce creatures have some amazing treasures, and I want to claim them as my own. Taking down a dragon is no walk in the park, but the real challenge comes when it’s time to divide the spoils. The player who ends up with the most points will be the ultimate victor in this game!

Let’s Get Started!

First things first, we need to set up the game. Each player should gather two knights, one thief, and one wizard, all in matching colors. We also need player screens to keep our treasures hidden from prying eyes. The dragon cards are shuffled up and placed in the middle of the playing area to form the draw pile. Then, the top four cards are revealed and laid out in a row on the table.

When there’s a dragon at the center, we need to draw tokens from the bag. The number of tokens should match the number on the dragon card. Then, we place the market card in the middle of the draw pile, between the seventh and eighth dragons.

The game starts with the player who last defeated a dragon.

How to Play

On your turn, you’ll try to defeat the dragons on the table. When you defeat one, you get the hidden treasure value added to your tokens. If you’re the only one who defeated the dragon, you get all the points and glory. But if multiple players helped, the treasure has to be shared.

When it’s my turn, I get to send one of my adventurers to take on the dragon on the board. Doesn’t matter if other players are already fighting it, I can still join in. I put my adventurer faceup under the dragon’s card. If the total attack power is higher than the dragon’s strength, we win and the dragon is gone!

If there are a bunch of us fighting the dragon together, we start a timer and have one minute to agree on how to split the treasure. But if we can’t make up our minds before the timer runs out, we lose the treasure.

So, here’s what happens: wizards and thieves are two types of players in this game. And they each have their own special abilities when it comes to the tokens.

The wizards, you see, they get to split the red tokens before anything else happens. If there are lots of wizards, the tokens get divided equally among them. But if there’s only one wizard, lucky them, they get all the tokens for themselves.

Now, the thieves, on the other hand, they have a different role. They get to steal one random token from another player. They can choose any player they want, but they have to do it in the order they were played. So, if you’re a thief, you have to wait your turn!

Once all that’s done, it’s time for the market. The players can trade tokens with each other if they want to. But here’s the catch: they only have one minute to do it! Yep, time is ticking. So, if you want to trade, you better hurry up!

And let’s not forget about the dragons. The game goes on and on until all the tokens are gone and every single dragon on the table is defeated. It’s a real battle, you know?

That’s all folks! The end of the game!

Hey there! The game starts to wind down once all the tokens run out. At that point, we can only go after the dragons that are out on the table. Once a dragon is defeated, it’s gone for good – no replacements allowed. Now, the remaining task is to divide up the treasure on the card since there won’t be any more elsewhere.

Once the final dragon is slayed, that’s it – game over. Time to tally up the points! Each silver piece and red token is worth one point, while each gold piece is worth a whopping three points. Oh, and if anyone nabbed the Black Diamond, they’ll get an extra seven points. When it comes to the other five colors, the player with the most of each will earn some serious points: fifteen points for three players, twelve points for four or five players, and ten points for six players.

And the player with the highest total points? They’re the winner!

Now, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Ellie, and I call Northeast Tennessee my home. Animals, fantasy books, and outdoor adventures are my jam. Plus, I’ve got an amazing hubby who adores me (almost as much as our two fur babies do). Being part of this incredible community is such a joy!
