BANDITS
Welcome to Bandits! Set in the thrilling era of the Wild West during the gold rush, this game will take you on an exciting adventure. In Bandits, you’ll be competing against other players to steal their stashes of gold while keeping your own safe. It’s a game of strategy and decision-making, where your every move counts. Be careful though, one wrong move at the wrong time could spell disaster and cause you to lose everything you’ve worked for!
SETUP
Let’s get started with the setup. First, remove the Reference Card, Turn Card, and Hideout card from the deck. Next, each player will choose their very own Hideout, which is where they will hide their precious loot throughout the game. Once everyone has their Hideout, shuffle the remaining cards in the deck and deal six cards to each player. The rest of the deck will be placed in the center of the table, forming the Draw Pile. And just like that, the game is all set to begin!
GAMEPLAY
When starting the game, the youngest player gets to go first. During their turn, they have three options to choose from. They can either draw a card, attack another player, or stash away three or more cards. Depending on the cards they have, there may be additional actions available. Once everyone has taken their turn, the turn card gets passed to the player on the left.
It’s important for players to always have six cards in their hand. So after completing their actions, they should take enough cards to replenish their hand. To launch an attack, players can play Outlaw or Two-Faced Cards from their hand onto the table and declare which player they want to attack. The more guns they use, the stronger the attack will be. If the defending player can’t match the number of guns, they lose the match!
Once the round is over, we get to shuffle up the cards in the discard pile and the hideouts to create a fresh draw pile. Don’t forget to replenish your hand with new cards. With that, we’re ready to kick off the next exciting round!
The Game Ends
At the end of a round, we count up the points each player has earned. If someone has enough points to win, congratulations! The game is over. But if not, don’t worry. We’ll just start a new round and keep the excitement going. The number of points you need to win depends on how many players there are. If there are two of us playing, the magic number is 150. With three or four, it’s 90 points, and with five or six, it’s 75. Typically, a game will have between one and four rounds, so get ready for some intense loot-grabbing fun!
