Aces – game rules

WELCOME TO ACES!

Forget about sitting idly while others take their turns – Aces is a thrilling, fast-paced dice game that will keep you on your toes! It’s perfect for family game nights, hanging out with friends, or even a lively night at a local bar. In this game, you’ll be passing dice, rolling aces to the center, and hoping you’re not the last one to roll a one.

Just like many other dice games, Aces is often played alongside some drinks. The unlucky player who loses the game is usually responsible for buying the next round for everyone. If you want to make things easier in a pub setting, each player can start with just one die.

GETTING SET UP

In order to play the game, each of us needs our own set of five 6-sided dice. To decide who gets to go first, we will all roll our dice and add up the numbers. The person with the highest total gets to take the first turn.

HERE’S HOW YOU PLAY

When it’s your turn, you’ll roll all of the dice that you have. If it’s the very beginning of the game, the first player will roll five dice.

After you roll, any dice that show a 2 will be handed over to the player on your left. If you roll any 5’s, those will go to the player on your right. Any 1’s that you roll will be placed in the middle of the table. Those dice are no longer part of the game. If you end up with 2’s, 5’s, or 1’s, you’ll get to roll again with the dice that you have left.

Your turn is over when you don’t roll any 2’s, 5’s, or 1’s. You also can’t continue if you run out of dice.

In a game of dice, we take turns rolling and trying to avoid being the last one to roll a 1. The game continues until someone rolls a 1 and places their die in the center of the table. This person loses the game.

WINNING

The objective is simple – be the player who doesn’t roll a 1 last. If you manage to achieve this, you are one of the winners.

VARIATIONS

To make the game more exciting, we can introduce a variation: players can pass their dice with the number 3 to any other player of their choice.

To spice things up even more, we can introduce a variation where players can pass their dice with the number 3 to any other player of their choice.
