60 Second Slam: A Fun Card Game for Parties!

Hey there! Are you looking for a super fun card game to play with your friends? Well, look no further because I’ve got just the game for you – it’s called 60 Second Slam!

In this game, you and your friends can get creative and compete against each other to come up with words for different categories. The best part? You only have 60 seconds to think of as many words as you can!

How to Play:

Before we jump right into the game, let’s talk about the setup. Each player will need a pencil and a score sheet. One person will be chosen as the moderator, who will be in charge of reading the category cards.

The category cards are like secret little treasures. They’re shuffled and placed near the moderator, adding an element of surprise to the game.

Let the Fun Begin!

When you play the category cards game, you’ll come across two types of words: yellow and blue. Yellow words are more specific and tend to be more challenging. You can either decide beforehand which type of word to use, or agree as a group to stick to one color for the game.

How to Play

To start the game, either the moderator will pick a color or the group will have already chosen one. The moderator will then reveal the top card and announce the word for that round. Once the word is read, the moderator will start the 60-second timer, and everyone will have one minute to write down as many answers as possible for that category on their card.

Okay, here’s how the game works. First, the moderator sets a timer for one minute. During that minute, everyone writes down words that start with a specific letter of the alphabet. But be quick! When the time is up, you have to stop writing, even if you’re in the middle of a word. So, unfinished words don’t count.

Once the minute is up, the moderator will announce each letter one by one. Then, everyone reveals their answers. If multiple players have the same answer, it cancels out and nobody gets a point for that. But if you’re the only one with a specific answer, you score a point.

After each round, make sure to write down your score on your sheet.

Now, let’s talk about the end of the game.

The game consists of 5 rounds. After the 5th round, it’s time to compare scores. The player with the highest score wins the game!
