Happy gaming!
As you progress in your journey as a village leader, you may come across valuable items that carry great honor. These items are known as Feats, and they bestow special abilities that can be used in all your future solo games.
After completing a solo game, take a moment to review all your Feat cards. Check if you have fulfilled the minimum requirements for any of the Feats. If you have successfully met all the criteria listed, congratulations! You have earned that Feat card and can utilize its power in your future solo games.
Each Feat card begins with a start marker () located at the top-left corner of the card. Once you have earned a Feat, rotate or flip the card so that the unlock marker (#image.jpg) now resides in the top-left corner.
Hey there! So, when you’ve got a Feat that you’ve earned, you wanna make sure you orient the card in a specific way. You want the unlock marker to be in the top left corner of the card, got it? Then, just go ahead and place that card at the back of your deck.
Now, here’s the cool thing: Some Feats work just like your regular buildings. Pretty straightforward, huh? But then there are those other Feats that have special rules. They might put some limits on how you can use them in each game. Gotta keep you on your toes, right?
Playing with a Friend
Playing with a friend is just like playing the regular game, but with a twist: it happens at the same time! At the end of each round, we both stop and wait until we both reach the round tracker. Then, we can choose to work together (#image.jpg) or compete () against each other.
We put the competitive or cooperative cards in the middle of the table.
Quick Tip for On-the-Go Play: One of us can keep these cards in our deck by placing them right before the round tracker. When one of these cards is the first card in our deck, it means our round is over.
#image.jpgWorking Together
When people join forces and work together, they can achieve amazing things. Collaboration is a powerful instrument that allows individuals to combine their strengths and create something truly outstanding. It’s incredible what we can accomplish when we put our minds together and support each other.
#image.jpgDiscovering New Perspectives
By working in a team, we have the opportunity to learn from one another and gain new insights. Each person brings their unique point of view and experiences to the table. This diversity of ideas and perspectives helps us to expand our horizons and approach problem-solving from different angles. We discover that there is no one right answer and that multiple solutions can be valid.
#image.jpgSupport and Encouragement
When we collaborate, we have the chance to provide support and encouragement to one another. We can lift each other up when things get tough and celebrate our successes together. Working as a team creates a sense of camaraderie and belonging, making us feel valued and motivated.
#image.jpgDivide and Conquer
Collaboration allows us to divide tasks and conquer challenges more efficiently. By assigning different responsibilities to team members, we can work in parallel and achieve our goals faster. This division of labor ensures that everyone can focus on their strengths and contribute to the overall success of the project.
#image.jpgBuilding Trust and Relationships
When we work together, we develop trust and build stronger relationships. Collaborating requires open communication, active listening, and respect for one another’s ideas. Through this process, we learn to trust our team members and rely on their expertise. This trust fosters a positive work environment and enhances our ability to work together effectively.
#image.jpgAchieving Greater Results
Ultimately, collaboration leads to greater results. When we combine our skills, knowledge, and resources, we can accomplish more than we could on our own. Working together allows us to tap into our collective potential and create something exceptional. Together, we can reach new heights and achieve feats that seemed impossible.
#image.jpgEmbrace Collaboration
So, let’s embrace collaboration and recognize its power. By working together, we can accomplish great things and make a real difference. Whether it’s in our personal lives or in the professional world, collaboration is the key to success. So, let’s join forces, support one another, and work towards a common goal. Together, we can achieve anything.
In this mode, you’ll need to use resources to get your island ready for different disasters. First, pick a disaster from the cooperative cards and place it in the center. The cost of upgrading a disaster will depend on how many players are in the game.
For example, if you’re playing with 2 people and the cost is 1 wood, 2 fish, and 1 stone per player, you’ll need a total of 2 wood, 4 fish, and 2 stone.
During each round, you’ll work on your village alone, getting it ready and making upgrades. At the end of the round, you can join forces with other players to pay for the disaster upgrade. Everyone who contributes will need to pay the full cost to move it to the next level.
Hey there! Let me break down this game for you. You can finish it at the end of any round. But, if you can’t finish before round 8, we all lose. Bummer, right? But if we do finish, we all win! Cool, huh? If you want, you can compare scores at the end of the game. The group’s score is the lowest player’s score. Simple enough, right?
#image.jpgTeamwork Skills
When I’m starting a cooperative game, I have the option to use 1 cooperative ability card (). This card can be upgraded at the end of a round, just like the disaster cards. Once it’s upgraded, it gives us a group power that everyone can use every round.
But there’s a catch. Using these abilities may require building upgrades and resources. I need to check if I have enough upgrades and pay the cost to use the ability on this card.
#image.jpgFun Competition
In this fun mode of competition, we focus on using our decks in the most effective way to outdo our fellow players. To start the game, I shuffle my deck and then call out the number of each card, following the specific order generated by the shuffle. The other players then arrange their decks to match mine.
So here’s how you play the outpost cards in Palm Island. First, you shuffle the cards and draw them one at a time. If you get any duplicates, just discard them until you have one forest outpost, one sea outpost, and one mountain outpost.
Now, at the end of each round, you have the chance to purchase these outposts. But there’s a catch! You can only buy them if you meet certain criteria, which you can find in the casual section of the outpost card. If you meet the criteria, you take the card, flip it upside down (that’s rotating it 180 degrees), and place it in your deck right after the round tracker.
But wait, there’s more! If multiple players meet the criteria in the same round, none of them get the card. It goes back to the box. Tough luck! Finally, at the end of the game, you add up the value of any outposts you earned and add it to your total score.
Now, if you’re feeling adventurous, you can try out the Optional Villager Mode:
#image.jpg
When I set up the game, I make sure to remove any duplicate villagers from the three outposts I’ve chosen. Then, I draw three random villagers that are unique. Both players get copies of these villagers to add to their decks, placing them between the core deck and the round tracker.
Competitive Speed
This mode is only for players who know the game really well. One player shuffles their deck and reads out the number on each card in the order determined by their shuffle. The other players arrange their decks to match.
Let’s get started! Place the Outpost cards in the center where everyone can see. Make sure the cards are stacked in a countdown from 4 to 2. The player who reaches their round tracker card first has the special privilege of buying one of the available Outpost cards. Once you buy a card, flip it around and put it in your deck right after the round tracker card.
Keep taking turns buying Outpost cards in the order you finished the round. Keep going until no one can buy any more cards. When everyone is done buying and ready to move on, start the next round all at once.
Want a challenge? Try the Optional Villager Mode:
In this mode, you draw 3 random Villagers to use instead of the Outposts. Mix things up!
#image.jpgExploring Villager Cards
When I start playing the game Palm Island, I’m immediately drawn into the fascinating universe of village life. But what exactly are Villager Cards? Well, let’s dive in and find out!
Villager Cards are an essential component of the game. They represent the different roles that villagers can take on within the village community. Each card depicts a villager and their specific abilities or actions. These cards are the backbone of the game, where I get to interact and make choices.
As I explore the Villager Cards, I discover that they come in various types. There are Gatherers who specialize in collecting resources, Traders who excel in exchanging goods, Builders who construct new structures, and Explorers who venture out to discover new lands.
Each Villager Card has a unique combination of symbols and numbers. These symbols represent the actions I can take, such as collecting resources or building structures, while the numbers indicate the card’s efficiency in performing those actions. The higher the number, the more effective the villager is in that specific role.
The game offers a wide selection of Villager Cards to choose from. Some cards are more versatile, allowing me to perform multiple actions, while others are more specialized, excelling in a specific area. It’s up to me to strategize and decide which combination of cards will best suit my village’s needs.
But here’s the catch – I can only hold a limited number of Villager Cards at a time. This limitation forces me to carefully choose the cards I want to keep and use, weighing their abilities and efficiency against each other.
When I’m in the midst of a game, I find myself facing tough decisions. Do I prioritize gathering resources to fuel my village’s growth, or do I focus on building structures to increase my efficiency? These choices make each playthrough unique and engaging, as I adapt my strategy to the cards I have at hand.
Villager Cards truly bring the village community to life. They add depth and complexity to the game, providing me with a sense of immersion and agency. Through these cards, I become an integral part of the village, shaping its future and navigating its challenges.
So if you’re ready to embark on a thrilling journey into village life, make sure to explore the Villager Cards in Palm Island. They hold the key to a captivating gaming experience where every choice counts. Can you build the ultimate village and lead it to prosperity? The fate of your virtual community is in your hands!
Hey there! Did you know that each Villager card () in this game has unique abilities? Pretty cool, right? You can recruit these Villagers by paying their cost. Now, here’s the exciting part: some Villagers have an “active” ability, while others give you victory points at the end of the game.
When a Villager says “Active,” it means they have an effect that can be used for the current round. At the beginning of each round, you can choose any number of Active cards that you’ve already recruited to use during that round. These recruited cards go right after the round tracker in your deck, so they’re ready for action.
Once you recruit a Villager, they become a permanent part of your deck for the rest of the game. The beauty of “Active” abilities is that you can use them every round without having to spend anything additional. The more Villagers you can afford to recruit, the better.
If you’re playing solo, fear not! You can still use Villagers in your game. Simply add three random Villagers between your primary deck and the round tracker, and you’re good to go.
Playing with 3 or more Players
If you want to play with more than 2 players, just grab some extra copies of the game. It’s easy to play with more people – just follow the same instructions as you would for a 2-player game. And if you’re using Villagers in speed mode, remember to add 1 extra Villager card for each additional player.
Here’s an example: if you have 3 players, use 4 Villager cards. And if you have 4 players, use 5 Villager cards.

Working together (per player)
Do you ever find yourself in situations where you need to work with others towards a common goal? It’s a natural part of life to collaborate and cooperate with others, whether at school, work, or even in your personal life. The ability to work together effectively is an important skill to have.
When I think about working together, I’m reminded of activities like team sports or group projects. These scenarios require everyone to contribute their skills and knowledge in order to achieve success. Each individual brings something unique to the table, and by working cooperatively, we can accomplish more than we could on our own.
There are many benefits to working together. One of the key advantages is that it allows us to tap into the diverse perspectives and ideas of others. When we collaborate with different people, we gain a broader understanding of the problem at hand, which can lead to better solutions. By working cooperatively, we can pool our resources and expertise, making us stronger and more capable as a team.
Working together also fosters a sense of unity and camaraderie. When we collaborate with others, we build relationships and strengthen bonds. We learn to trust and rely on one another, knowing that we are all working towards the same goal. This sense of belonging and shared purpose can be incredibly motivating and uplifting.
Of course, working together isn’t always easy. It requires effective communication, compromise, and a willingness to listen to others. It’s important to respect and value the input of everyone involved, even if their ideas are different from our own. By embracing diversity and actively seeking out different perspectives, we can create an environment that encourages collaboration and innovation.
So, the next time you find yourself in a situation that calls for teamwork, remember the power of working together. Embrace the opportunity to collaborate and cooperate with others. You just might be surprised by what you can achieve when you combine your efforts with those around you. Together, we can accomplish great things.
How Hard is it?
Easy: You can use as many Feats as you want.
Medium: You can only use 1 Feat per game.
Hard: You can’t use any Feats at all.
Feats are like superpowers that you can earn and use in games. But here’s the thing: it’s not as cool to use Feats that you earned on the easy level when you’re playing on medium. It’s way more impressive if you earn Feats on the level you’re currently playing. So challenge yourself and go for that hard mode without using any Feats!
