Hey there! Have you heard about Town Hall? It’s a cool twist on the game Tiny Towns that shakes things up a bit. Let me tell you about it!

So, in Town Hall, there’s this special thing called the Resource deck. It’s like a deck of cards that you use to determine which resource all the players will get to place in the town. And guess what? You get to be the Mayor, which is pretty awesome! As the Mayor, you’ll be the one drawing the Resource cards and deciding what resource everyone gets.

How to Play the Game

Let’s talk about how we can get started with this fun game! First things first, we need to set up the game by shuffling the 15 Resource cards and forming a draw pile. Then, we’ll put the top 5 cards face-down to create a discard pile.

Now, let’s get into the gameplay:

  1. I’m going to start things off as the Mayor. I’ll draw the top Resource card from the draw pile and place it face-up on the table. This card will show us which resource we need to place in our towns.
  2. Once I’ve placed my resource, it’s your turn and the other players’ turns. Each player places the same resource in their own town. After everyone has placed their resources, I’ll take the Resource card I drew and put it on the discard pile. Then, I’ll draw a new card for the next round and place it face-up on the table.
  3. Now, here’s where it gets interesting. In the third round, we all get to choose 1 resource from the supply to place in our towns. We do this at the same time, so it’s a race to see who can grab the resources they want!

And that’s pretty much it! Have fun playing and enjoy building your own unique town with the resources you collect.

So here’s how it goes: first, the Mayor gets 1 Resource card for each of the first two rounds, and then we all get to pick a resource individually for the third round.

Now, if we need a Resource card and there’s none left in the draw pile, the Mayor shuffles up the discard pile to make a new draw pile. Oh, and the Mayor also discards the top 5 cards face-down. We keep playing like this until the standard game ends.

Oh, one more thing: when we’re playing this game, any Building or Monument cards that mention other players naming resources, like the Factory or the Warehouse, only count in rounds where the Mayor gets a Resource card.

And then we have the Bank. Its effect lasts every third round, and that means we can’t choose resources from the supply anymore. Nope, we can only pick resources that we’ve already put on our Banks.
