Viticulture Structures
If you’re interested in viticulture, you’re probably wondering about the different structures involved in this fascinating field. Viticulture, which is the science and art of growing grapes, requires certain structures to ensure the successful cultivation of grapevines.
One of the key structures you’ll come across in viticulture is the trellis system. This system is designed to support the grapevines, allowing them to grow upwards towards the sunlight. These trellises can vary in design, with some featuring vertical posts and horizontal wires, while others have a more elaborate setup with cross arms and additional support structures.
Another important structure in viticulture is the grapevine training system. This system determines how the grapevines are pruned and trained to maximize their yield and quality. Various training systems are used, including the popular vertical shoot positioning (VSP) system, where the grapevines are trained upward with a single vertical shoot per vine.
I should also mention the vineyard netting structures, which are used to protect the grapevines from birds and other animals that may damage the fruit. These nets are carefully placed over the vines, creating a barrier while still allowing sunlight and air to reach the plants.
When it comes to choosing the right viticulture structures, there are several factors to consider. It’s important to take into account the specific grape variety being grown, the climate conditions of the region, and the desired quality of the grapes. Each structure has its own benefits and drawbacks, and it’s essential to understand how they can impact the overall vineyard management.
By following proper viticulture practices and utilizing the appropriate structures, you can elevate your grape-growing game and ensure a bountiful harvest. So, if you’re passionate about viticulture, exploring the various structures available will open up a world of possibilities for your grapevines.
When it comes to cultivating vineyards and producing exceptional wine, structures play a vital role. They offer numerous advantages, allowing you to enhance the quality of your vines, produce superior wine, and unlock special bonuses along the way. These structures entail a certain cost, which is indicated by a coin symbol on your player mat during the summer and fall seasons.
Introducing the Trellis
If you want to plant certain types of vines, you’ll need a trellis. It’s like a support system for the vines to grow on. Think of it as a sturdy frame that helps the vines reach their full potential.
Building a Windmill
Hey there! So, once you’ve got yourself a windmill in this game, every time you decide to plant a vine, you score a solid victory point, my friend. Just keep in mind, you can only get one point for planting a vine per year, so no need to go overboard!

Hey there! Did you know that for some types of plants, like vines, irrigation is a must? It’s an essential step in helping them grow and thrive!
Let’s Talk About Yoke
When you own a yoke, it gives you a special action that you can use once every year, in either the summer or winter season.
During your turn, you have the option to place a regular worker or a grande worker (acting as a regular worker) on your yoke. This allows you to do one of two things: uproot 1 vine card by returning it from your field to your hand, or harvest 1 field. Keep in mind that the field can only be harvested once per year, even in the summer.
Tasting Room
When you construct a tasting room, you’ll earn 1 victory point every time you assign a worker to the “give a vineyard tour” action, as long as you have at least 1 wine token in your cellar.
Cellars (
And
)
When it comes to storing wine, players have the option to use cellars. However, smaller cellars can only accommodate wines of lesser value. To store higher value varieties, as well as blush and sparkling wines, players can construct medium and large cellars. The medium cellar is a prerequisite for building the large cellar.
Keep in mind: The medium cellar must be built before the large cellar.
Cottage
If you have a cottage, you get to pick a visitor card when autumn begins. This is in addition to the default visitor card you draw. The two cards you draw can be the same type or different types of visitor cards.
