If any of the sight words on the tiles match the sight words on your Zingo! card, shout out the word and grab the tile. Don’t forget to put it on your card!

Keep an eye out for the Zingo! tiles too. If you spot a tile with the word “Zingo!” on it, be the first to grab it and shout “Zingo!” You’ll earn two tiles for that one!

If you ever find yourself with more tiles than you can fit on your card, you’ll have to put some back in the Zinger. Tough choices, I know! Just remember, you can only keep seven tiles at a time.

Winning and losing also teach important life lessons. The goal of the game is to be the first to cover all the spaces on your Zingo! card with matching word tiles. To set up the game, remove the top from the Zingo! Zinger and scramble the 72 tiles. Load the tiles back into the Zinger in two equal stacks and replace the top. Make sure all players can see the Zingo! Zinger. Each player chooses a Zingo! card, which has two sides for different levels of play. The green side is less competitive and the red side is more competitive. Make sure all players have the same colored side facing up.

Game Play

Let’s start by deciding if you or someone else will be the Dealer and operate the Zingo! Zinger. Alternatively, you can take turns passing the Zinger, so that everyone gets a chance to use it. It’s a good idea to have an adult or an older child be the first Dealer.

The Dealer simply needs to slide the Zingo! Zinger back and forth to reveal two tiles.

When I see a Word Tile that matches the word on my Zingo! Card, I call out the word, take the tile, and cover the printed image on my card.

When it comes to playing Zingo!, one of the key things to remember is that the Dealer is in charge of sliding any unclaimed tiles back into the Zinger through the slots at the top of the device.

If two or more players are looking for the same tile, it’s important to be the first one to call for it. If there is a tie, the dealer will slide the tile back into the Zingo! Zinger.

Now, if you happen to call for a tile that you don’t need, don’t worry! The tile will go to the next player who correctly calls for it.

The goal of the game is to be the first player to cover all 9 spaces on the card. Once you achieve this, shout “Zingo!” and you win! It’s that simple.

Remember, the winner then becomes the Dealer for the next game, ready to slide those tiles and deal out the fun.
