Wackee SIX Game Rules

Hey there! Welcome to the world of Wackee SIX, where fun and excitement are always on the menu. Are you ready to dive into the game? Let me help you get started with some important rules and tips.

Game Objective

In Wackee SIX, the goal is quite simple – be the first player to get rid of all your cards. Easy, right? Well, not so fast! This game is all about strategy and quick thinking. You’ll need to outsmart your opponents and be strategic with your moves to come out on top.

Deck Setup

To play Wackee SIX, you’ll need a standard deck of playing cards with jokers included. Shuffle the deck and deal six cards to each player. The remaining cards will be placed facedown in a pile, which will serve as the draw pile.

Gameplay

Once the deck is ready and the cards are dealt, the game begins. The player to the left of the dealer goes first, and gameplay proceeds clockwise. On your turn, you must play a card that matches the color or number of the card on top of the discard pile. If you are unable to play a card, you must draw one from the draw pile. Play continues until a player gets rid of all their cards.

Special Cards

Now, let’s talk about the special cards that can really shake things up:

  • Wackee Six Card: This card allows you to change the color of the discard pile. Use it strategically to mess with your opponents’ plans!
  • Draw Two Card: When you play this card, the next player is forced to draw two cards and skip their turn. It’s a great way to slow down your opponents.
  • Reverse Card: This card reverses the direction of play. If the game was moving clockwise, it will now move counterclockwise, and vice versa. Keep your opponents on their toes!
  • Skip Card: When this card is played, the next player is skipped, and their turn is completely void. It can be a real game-changer in the right moment.

Winning the Game

The first player to get rid of all their cards is declared the winner. Celebrate, because you’ve just conquered the world of Wackee SIX!

So, are you ready to jump in and play Wackee SIX? Remember these rules, embrace your strategic side, and have a blast! May the best player win!

In this game, each player or team has their own deck of cards. The more players there are, the crazier and more exciting the game becomes. If there are more than six players, you can play in teams of two, with each team sharing a deck. If there’s an odd player, don’t worry, they can still participate by taking on the “Wackee Challenge” all by themselves.

The objective of the game is to be the first player to get rid of all the cards in your main deck and shout “Wackee Six!” You can also earn points by playing as many cards as possible into the piles in the middle of the table or playing field.

What makes this game really “wackee” is that there are no turns. Everyone plays at the same time, which adds to the excitement and unpredictability.

Now, let’s talk about how the game begins.

Alright, let’s get started. First, make sure to shuffle the cards really well. Now, it’s time to deal the cards. Each player should deal themselves 12 cards. Arrange 6 of these cards side by side, facing up, so that everyone can see them. Place the other 6 cards in a separate pile, face down. But here’s the catch – you can’t look at these face down cards just yet! They will be turned over one at a time during the game, so it’s important not to cheat by peeking at them beforehand. Lastly, the remaining deck of cards should be kept in your hand, face down.

Playing the Game of Wackee

Once the cards have been dealt and we’re all set, I say, “Let’s dive into the fun of Wackee!” and that’s when the real excitement begins. It’s a game that tests your quick thinking and coordination skills like no other!

Where to Start?

So, here’s the deal. You’re trying to find a number 1 card to kickstart those piles in the middle. Take a good look at the 6 cards right in front of you. If you spot a number 1 card, don’t waste a second – play it in the middle, pronto! Once someone starts a pile, we can all jump in and add to it. But remember, always start by playing cards from your original batch of 12.

Whenever a number 1 card hits the table, a fresh pile is born. And guess what? The number of 1 cards in the deck is the only thing limiting the number of 1 piles we can have! Pretty neat, huh? Oh, and speaking of neat, the color of the first card determines the color of that pile.

Listen up, there’s a rule when it comes to playing on the piles: blue can only go on blue, green on green, and so on. Oh, and one more thing – we gotta build those piles upwards, not downwards. Each card we play has to be one number higher than the previous one in the sequence. Got it? Good.

When I play this game, I start with card number 1 and keep going until I reach card number 13. Once I finish playing card number 13, that pile is called “Wacked”. At that point, I don’t pay attention to that pile until the end of the game when we count the points.

If I need more space on the playing field, I can set aside the “Wacked” piles.

Here’s a tip: right after I play one of the 6 cards I have face-up, I quickly turn over a card from the face-down pile of 6. This way, I always have 6 cards face-up.

Note: I can’t use wild cards as 1’s, but I can use them in the middle of the table to represent any other number of any color. To make it easier for other players to see the number, I can turn the wild card sideways and it becomes the top card.

In your hand, you or I must flip over three cards at a time from the facedown deck. We’ll do this in a pattern, like turn over turn over. But remember, only the top card of the three can be played in the center of the table.

Once we play that top card, we can then play the next ones in sequence because they become the new top cards.

If we can’t play the top card in the center, don’t worry. Keep flipping over the next three cards quickly until we find one we can play.

We can play on any of the piles in the center. It doesn’t have to be a pile we started. The important thing is to play as fast as we can because every card we play in the center will count as one point later on.

You can’t swap a card from your deck with one of the 6 cards on the table. That wouldn’t make sense in the game. Instead, you can only play cards from your deck to the middle of the table.

Once you finish going through your deck, take the top card and put it at the bottom. Then, flip the deck over and start going through it again, this time taking three cards at a time. This way, you’ll get a better mix of cards.

When We Play Together

When we play, one of us will flip over three cards from the deck at a time, while the other person takes care of the 12 main cards that were given to us at the beginning. Don’t forget to let me know which cards you need help with, so I can help you use your 6 main face cards effectively.

If We Both Play at the Same Time

If it seems like we both played a card on the pile at the same moment, let’s not argue or get upset. The card that was placed at the bottom of the pile is the winner.

If your card is underneath the other person’s card in a fair way, you get to keep it there, and the other players have to take their cards back and try again with a new pile.

Ending a Round

As soon as we have played all 12 of our main cards, let’s shout “Wackee Six!” to signal that the game is over. After that, no more cards can be played!

When you play the game “Wackee Six!”, only the cards that are already in the air when you hear “Wackee Six!” will count towards your score. Any cards that you try to sneak in afterwards don’t count and you have to take them back. This game is so exciting that you might find yourself yelling “Wackee Six!”

Remember: When scoring, don’t mix any cards together until everything is sorted out. Your own deck of cards that you haven’t played stays separate.

And don’t forget to keep track of how many of your 12 main cards you haven’t played yet. If you don’t count them, the other players might get upset because they count against you.

How to Score

Each of the 12 main cards that are still left in your hand at the end will count as 2 points against you. Flip over all the cards that have been played in the middle of the table and sort them back into their original colored decks. Give each player their played cards back.

In the game, you count the cards you played as one point each. Then, you subtract the points you have against you and tell the score keeper your score.

Here’s a bonus: If you were the first to go out by saying “Wackee Six!”, you get a 10-point bonus!

Playing Another Round

You can keep playing the game for as long as you want. Just deal new cards each time. The game ends when one person or partnership reaches the target score you agreed upon.
