Stealing

If you answer a Threezer Riddle incorrectly, other players have the opportunity to steal. While the Threezer Riddle is being read, opponents who are not answering or reading should listen. If they think they know the solution, they should “buzz in” before the answering player makes a guess.

In order to “buzz in,” all you have to do is hold your hand out over the Game Board and curl your fingers into your palm. Then, pump your thumb up and down like you’re holding an imaginary buzzer. And don’t worry about being too loud or obnoxious – it’s all part of the game! Feel free to make some noise and have fun!

Remember: If you’re not playing with rowdy Players, buzzing in can be as simple as raising your hand or using any method that Players feel comfortable with.

When I’m playing a game called Threezer, I have a chance to answer a riddle and earn points for my team. The first person to “buzz in” gets to answer the riddle, and if they’re right, we get to move our pawns ahead. But if they’re wrong, we have to move a pawn back. It’s exciting because we have to think fast and take risks.

Now, if I’m the one who buzzed in first and I solve the riddle, I get to move one of my pawns the same number of spaces that the other player rolled. That means I can really advance on the board! But if I guess wrong, I have to move one of my pawns back one space. It’s important to be careful and think before making a guess.

Here’s something interesting: only the player who buzzed in first can try to steal points from another player. And once the steal is done, we keep playing by going clockwise from the first player. It’s like a race to steal and win!

Challenge

When I land on a green challenge square, I have a chance to challenge another player who’s ahead of me on the same path. It’s a way for me to try and catch up and show off my skills. It’s all about strategy and thinking ahead.

Now, the reading player (that could be anyone, except the Defender) reads out the special Challenge Threezer from the back of the card. No need to worry about getting it wrong, because there are no penalties for incorrect guesses. As soon as the first clue is read, both the Challenger and the Defender can start shouting out their answers, making as many guesses as they want.

But here’s the twist: only the one who cracks the riddle and solves it correctly wins the Challenge and the spot on the path. In case there’s a tie, don’t sweat it – we can always go for another Challenge Threezer Riddle.

If I win the Challenge, you and I will switch places on the board so that I am now ahead.

If you win the Challenge, we will both stay in our current spaces.

Once we finish the Challenge, my turn ends, and it’s your turn to play. We’ll pass the Dice and the Card Box to the left, but the Card Box will still stay on your right side.

Something to keep in mind if we’re playing in teams: Before we start the game, we need to decide if the whole team will participate in Challenges or if we will choose one player to represent us.
