The Rules

Playing Timebomb is a blast! The game involves a deck of cards. Each card has a number on it, and it’s up to me to defuse as many cards as I can before time runs out. Sounds fun, right?

The goal is simple: find all the cards with the number “1” and defuse them before moving on to the next number. Each time I defuse a bomb, the time on the clock resets, giving me more time to defuse the next one. But be quick! If the countdown reaches zero, game over.

I can play Timebomb on my own or challenge my friends to see who can defuse the most bombs in the shortest amount of time. It’s a race against the clock!

To start playing, all I have to do is shuffle the deck of cards and spread them out face down on the table. Then, I flip one card at a time, searching for the cards with the number “1.” When I find one, I defuse it by pressing it down gently. If I find a card with a different number, I leave it alone and keep searching.

The beauty of Timebomb is that it can be played anywhere. Whether I’m at home, on a road trip, or waiting for a dentist appointment, Timebomb keeps me entertained and on my toes.

The game is played over a maximum of 4 rounds. Your goal is to use the wire cutters to snip wires from other players and complete your mission.

Starting with the first player, grab the Wire Cutters and place them in front of the Wire card you want to cut from another player. It’s important to listen to everyone’s arguments and discuss your options before making a decision. Remember, you can’t cut your own wires. Once you’ve made your choice, reveal the cut Wire and put it in the center of the table.

If you have a Safe Wire card, nothing will occur. You don’t need to worry about anything.

If you come across a Defusing Wire card, make sure to set it aside so you know how many Defusing cards have been found.

If this is the last Defusing Wire card left, then the Sherlock Team wins right away. Otherwise, the game goes on.

In the case of the Bomb card, we, the Moriarty team, automatically win the game. If you’re the unfortunate player who had to reveal your Wire card, you must now take the Wire Cutters and follow the same process.

Now, let’s talk about the end of the round. The round comes to a close when the total number of Wire cards that have been revealed is equal to the number of players. For example, if there are 5 players, the round ends after the fifth Wire card is revealed.

At this point, gather all the Wire cards that haven’t been cut yet. Mix them up without looking, and deal out new Wire cards to each player so that everyone has the same number. Then, repeat step 5 of the setup.

As we move into the next round, every player will have one less card than they did at the start of the previous round. A new round begins, and the player who last received the Wire Cutters in the previous round becomes the first player this time.

The End of the Game

The game comes to a close under three different circumstances:

When all Defusing Wires are uncovered. This means the Sherlock team wins the game right away.
If the Bomb card is revealed. In that case, the Moriarty team takes the victory.
When four rounds go by without either condition being fulfilled. Then, the Moriarty team wins the game.
