Going Back to School

When faced with the decision to continue my education or move forward in life, I have a choice to make. If I decide to pursue further education, I must pay $50,000 to the bank.

A New Career Direction

I can either switch my current Career card for a College Career card or receive a $20,000 salary increase.

• If I opt for a new College Career card, another player will fan out the College Career cards facedown and randomly draw two cards. I can then choose one of the two cards as my new career or decide to stick with my current Career card. The unused card will be returned to the deck.
• If I choose the salary increase, I will receive two Pay Raises from the bank and place them next to my Career card.

The Path of Family

Before spinning the wheel, I have the choice to take the family path, which increases my chances of having children, or to continue on my current path in life.

Get a “Better” House

First, I need to figure out if I want to sell my Starter House and get a nicer one. Take a look at the House cards and choose the house you want to buy.

If you decide to go for it and get a better house, sell your Starter House back to the bank for the price listed on its card. Then, you’ll need to pay the bank the price listed on the new card. If you don’t have enough money, you can borrow from the bank.

Remember: You can’t own more than one house at a time. If you already have a house, you have to sell it before you can buy a new one.

Choose Your Path

Before you spin, think about whether you want to go down the Risky path or take the Safe path to spend time with your family.

If you land on 10, 9, or 8, it’s payday! The other players owe you $10,000 each. If you land on 7, 6, or 5, they owe you $5,000 each. But if you spin a 4, 3, 2, or 1, sorry, no gifts for you.

Watch Out for the Blue Lawsuit Spaces



Hey there! So, whenever you land on a blue Lawsuit space, guess what? You get to collect $100,000 from the player of your choice. How cool is that?

Bank Loans

Now listen, if you need some cash during your turn, don’t worry. You can actually borrow money from the bank. During any of your turns, just go ahead and take one or more bank loans. Each loan is worth $20,000, which the banker will give you from the bank.

But here’s the thing – you’ve got to repay those loans, of course. And not just the principal amount. Nope, you’ve also got to pay back $5,000 as interest for each bank loan. That means for every loan, you’ve got to repay a total of $25,000. And hey, you can either pay off these loans whenever you want during the game, or simply wait until you retire at the end of the game. It’s up to you!

Share the Wealth Cards

Alrighty, let’s talk about Share the Wealth cards. So there are actually five different kinds of these cards. And guess what? If you have any, you get to keep them facedown, so only you will know what they are. Pretty sneaky, huh?

Now, here’s the catch – you can use these cards whenever you choose, but make sure you use them wisely. You don’t want to waste them, do you? Alright, let me break it down for you and tell you what these cards can actually do. Here’s the scoop:

Highway Patrol

So here’s the deal: if I catch you speeding, you owe me five grand. And by speeding, I mean spinning a “10”. It’s kinda my job to keep an eye out for those sneaky speeders. If I don’t catch you in the act, well, you lucked out and get to keep your money.

Just a heads up: If there happens to be no Police Officer in the game, then spinning a “10” won’t cost you a dime.



Get Card: When your opponents land on a gold COLLECT space, give them these cards. Now, they have to give you half of the money they collected. Once you play the card, put it back at the bottom of the deck.

Give Card: When you land on a gold PAY space, hand over these cards to your opponents. They must now pay the bank half of what you owe for the space. After you play the card, discard it to the bottom of the deck.

Remember: If you can’t divide an amount equally, the person who played the card always gets/pays the lower amount.

You can’t use COLLECT or PAY cards to divide amounts of $5,000 or less.

Exemption Card: Want to know a secret? I’ve got a special card that lets you skip those pesky COLLECT or PAY cards and LAWSUITS. Just whip out this card and show it to your opponent. Poof! Their card, along with mine, disappears to the bottom of the deck.

Note: Here’s the catch – I can only give one card to an opponent per turn. If multiple players want to give a card to the same person, we gotta spin the spinner and see who gets the highest number.

And guess what? If I get the highest spin, I’m the only one who gets to give our opponent a card. Talk about luck!

Spin To Win (2): Hold onto your seats, because I’ve got another trick up my sleeve. These special cards let me double the fun with two Spin to Win tokens instead of just one. I’ll grab two tokens, matching the color of my car, from the pile and place them on any two numbers on the Spin to Win strip. It’s like making an investment, but with my winnings going straight to the bank.

Hey there! Get ready to give the spinner a whirl. If the number you land on matches one of your numbers, the bank’s gonna pay you 10 times the cash you put in. But hold on, if your number doesn’t come up, you’ll lose your investment. Don’t worry though, you can just put the two tokens back in the pile and stick that card to the bottom of the deck.

Spin To Win (4): These fancy cards let you go all out with four Spin to Win tokens instead of just one when someone lands on a Spin to Win spot. Grab four tokens that match your car’s color from the pile, and pop them on any four numbers on the Spin to Win strip. Then hand over your investment to the bank.

Now comes the fun part: spin that spinner again. If the number you land on matches any of your chosen numbers, the bank will pay you 10 times the moolah you invested.

But uh-oh, if the number doesn’t match, you’ll have to say goodbye to your investment. Don’t worry, just return those four tokens to the pile and tuck the card away at the bottom of the deck.

Retirement

When I come to the end of life’s path, I stop, no matter which way I’ve traveled. Here’s what I do when that happens:

• I pay back any loans I owe to the bank, along with the interest.
• I sell my house back to the bank at the listed price.
• I set aside my Career card and Pay Raise(s).
• I keep my Long-Term Investment card, as I can still spin on my turn and collect when my number comes up!
• I hold onto my Share the Wealth cards, ready to play them.

Retiring at Millionaire Estates





If you’re the first player to retire in Millionaire Estates, you get to check out the three LIFE tiles there. Pick one that you like and put the other two back in the space.

Retiring in Countryside Acres





At Countryside Acres, retiring doesn’t give you any extra LIFE tiles, but it does keep your existing ones safe!

If all the tiles have been drawn and the pile runs out, other players can’t take tiles from you when they land on LIFE spaces.

The End of the Game

Once everyone has retired, it’s time to calculate your final score.

1. First, count up the cash you have.
2. Next, flip over your LIFE tiles and add up the dollar amounts.
3. Add the two totals together (cash value plus LIFE tile value).

The player with the highest total value is the winner!
