Hey there! Get ready to explore an incredible map that reveals the wonders of the south pole and the mighty Hellas sea. It’s an exciting journey that takes you all the way up to the equator.
Now, I must tell you, this map has some really cool surprises in store for you. As you venture along the equator, you’ll come across special spots called plant bonuses. These goodies are strategically placed on the very top of the map, overlapping the original game board. And guess what? One of these special spots is called Argyre Planitia! It’s surrounded by magnificent mountains that are simply awe-inspiring.
But wait, that’s not all! The map also boasts not one, but two new placement bonuses that will leave you amazed. Let me break them down for you:
The first bonus is called “heat,” and it’s found in the spectacular Hellas sea. You see, the Martian crust in this area is super thin, resulting in bonus heat. And thanks to the frozen carbon dioxide in the atmosphere acting as a greenhouse gas, this place is a real hotspot. So, if you’re lucky enough to land here, you’ll be rewarded handsomely.
Now for the second bonus, and this one is a doozy! It’s situated right on the south pole itself. But here’s the thing, my friend – to earn this bonus, you’ll need to cough up 6 megacredits. Yep, it’s a little pricey, but trust me, it’s totally worth it. Once you’ve paid the fee, guess what you get? You’re treated to a marvelous ocean tile, complete with its terraform rating, that you can place wherever there’s an available ocean area. Talk about a sweet deal!
Hey there! Let’s talk about the Hellas map and some interesting aspects of the game.
The Hellas map is a bit different from other maps in the game because it doesn’t have any volcanoes and it also doesn’t have the Noctis region. This means that certain cards, like Noctis City and Lava Flows, can be placed on any non-ocean area, without any placement restrictions.
Let’s talk about some exciting milestones in the game:
- DIVERSIFIER: To achieve this milestone, you need to have 8 different tags in play. That means collecting a variety of different tags to progress.
- TACTICIAN: To reach this milestone, you need to have 5 cards with requirements in play. It’s all about strategizing and meeting those specific requirements. Additionally, POLAR EXPLORER requires you to have 3 tiles on the two bottom rows.
- ENERGIZER: To achieve this milestone, you need to have 6 energy production. Keep up the energy to hit this milestone!
- RIM SETTLER: For this milestone, you need to have 3 jovian tags. Explore the rim and establish your presence there!
Now, let’s take a look at the awards:
- Cultivation: This award goes to the player with the most greenery tiles. Show off your nurturing side!
- Magnatel: The player with the most automated cards in play (green cards) wins this award. Embrace the power of automation!
- Space Baron: This award goes to the player with the most space tags. Remember, event cards don’t count towards this award. Rule the vastness of space!
- Eccentric: The player with the most resources on cards wins this award. Collect resources and show your eccentricity!
What is a Contractor?
A contractor is simply someone who builds things. They work in many different industries, from construction to engineering. Contractors are often hired by individuals or businesses to complete specific projects or tasks.
One of the main benefits of hiring a contractor is that they have specialized skills and knowledge in their field. They know how to complete a project efficiently and effectively, saving you time and money in the long run.
Contractors also have the advantage of being able to work on a variety of projects. They are not tied down to one specific job or employer, giving them the freedom to take on different types of work.
However, there are some drawbacks to hiring a contractor. One of the biggest challenges is finding the right one for your project. With so many different contractors to choose from, it can be overwhelming trying to find the perfect fit.
Additionally, hiring a contractor can be more expensive than doing the work yourself. Contractors charge for their time and expertise, so you will need to factor in these costs when budgeting for your project.
Despite these challenges, hiring a contractor can be a smart decision. They bring valuable skills and experience to the table, and they can help ensure that your project is completed to a high standard.
What is Elysium?
Elysium is a term that refers to a place of perfect happiness or contentment. It is often used to describe a sort of paradise or utopia. People use this term when they want to convey a sense of peace and bliss.
When someone says, “I feel like I’m in Elysium,” they mean that they are experiencing a state of pure joy and satisfaction.
If you’re looking for a getaway that will transport you to a place of tranquility and bliss, then you’ll love Elysium. It’s a destination that offers a peaceful escape from the pressures of everyday life.
With beautiful landscapes, luxurious accommodations, and a range of activities to choose from, Elysium is the perfect place to relax and recharge. Whether you prefer lounging by the pool, exploring nature, or indulging in spa treatments, Elysium has something for everyone.
So, if you’re in need of a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, consider visiting Elysium. It’s a place where you can truly unwind and find your inner peace.

If you look west of Tharsis, you’ll find a remarkable region that stretches from Olympus Mons, the tallest mountain in the whole solar system, to Elysium Montes.
In the northern part of this region, you’ll come across the great northern lowlands known as Vastitas Borealis, which extends towards the equator. On the other hand, the southern part is dominated by highlands filled with numerous craters.
This map includes Arsia Mons and overlaps with the original game board. However, there are no special placement bonuses on this map.
On the Elysium map, you won’t find the Noctis region, so you have the freedom to place Noctis City without any restrictions.
What’s interesting is that this map features four volcanic sites where you can place the Lava Flows tile: Arsia Mons, Olympus Mons, Elysium Mons, and Hecates Tholus.
