By matching the colored wooden shapes that pour out from the sprinkle shaker to the colored shapes on the cupcake cards. It’s all about making those perfect matches!

Getting Started

Hey there! Let’s have some fun with this cool game. First, we need to put all the colored wooden shapes into the sprinkle shaker through the opening at the top. Make sure the shaker is easily accessible to all players.

Now, take the top of the game box and place it open side-up in the middle of the playing area. This will be our starting point.

Next, let’s shuffle the cupcake cards and stack them face down in the middle. Once done, turn over the top four cards and arrange them in a row that everyone can see.

It’s Game Time!

Alright, the player who ate the last cupcake gets to go first. From there, we’ll continue playing in a clockwise direction. Are you ready? Great!

When it’s your turn, roll the die to see how many times you can shake the shaker. The number on the die tells you how many shakes you can make. For example, if you roll a three, you can shake the shaker three times. Exciting, right?

Now, grab the sprinkle shaker and give it a good shake according to the number you rolled. Make sure to follow these steps:

First, hold the sprinkle shaker in your hand, making sure the opening is facing up. Use your other hand to cover the opening and shake the shaker to mix up the sprinkles. Then, uncover the opening and get ready for the next step.

Next, place the sprinkle shaker over the game box. Make sure the opening is facing down into the box. Give the shaker a good shake, matching the number you rolled on the dice. Once you’ve done that, turn the shaker upright again and put it back on the playing surface.

Now it’s time to see if any shapes poured out! Take a look inside the game box and see what you find. Did you get any shapes? Explore and discover!

If you’re up for a challenge, take a peek at the cupcakes facing upward and check if any of them have shapes that match both the shape and color on a card.

If you find any matching shapes, go ahead and place them on the respective cards. Don’t forget to put the remaining cupcakes back into the sprinkle shaker. Once you’re done, pass the shaker to the player on your left.

If nothing pops out of the shaker, just pass it along to the next person on your left.

Let’s get ready to “Take the Cake”!

If you manage to fill all the shapes on one or more cards during your turn, you’ll be rewarded with a delicious cake!

To achieve this, simply move the card(s) along with the shape(s) in front of you and then replenish with new cards from the draw pile.

The Game’s End

The game comes to an end when there are no more shapes remaining in the sprinkle shaker.

At that point, it’s time to tally up the number of cupcakes each player has collected. The player with the most cupcakes wins!

In the event of a tie, the player with the most shapes will be declared the winner.

A Variation for Seasoned Players

In this game, we’re going to do something a little different. Each player will get two cupcake cards that they can see right away. The rest of the cards will be placed face down in the middle. We’ll also have a special die and a shaker that we can all easily reach.

When it’s your turn, you’ll roll the die and give the shaker A shake based on the number you rolled. Then, we’ll compare the shapes that fall out of the shaker with the ones on your two cards.

If you can match any shapes on your cards with the ones that fell out, you get to collect those shapes and replace any completed cards with new ones from the stack. If there are any unmatched shapes left, we’ll put them back in the shaker and pass it to the next player.

The game keeps going until we’ve drawn all the cards from the stack. We’ll keep playing until one player matches all the shapes on the next card. Then, we’ll count up the number of shapes that each player has collected, and the one with the most wins!
