5. If a guesser shouts out the correct answer before the time runs out, they earn a point. If the answer giver confirms that the guess is correct, the guesser keeps the card as a point. If the guess is incorrect, no points are awarded.

6. The game continues in this manner, with the players taking turns as the answer giver. The player with the most points at the end of the game wins!

Getting Started

• First, let’s divide up into two teams. Each team can come up with a cool name and write it in one of the boxes on the Scoreboard. We need to decide which team will go first.
• Make sure we have the Scoreboard and Marker handy. We’ll need a damp tissue to wipe it off.
• Now, let’s put the 5 Pawns on the circles near the numbers on the Scoreboard.
• We should also have the Card Box nearby. The cards have different colors on each side. We’ll start with one color and then switch to the other color to keep things interesting.

How to Play

During the game, both teams will take turns. Each player will have a chance to read clues to their own teammates.

When it’s your turn, grab a card from the box. Start the Timer and read the clues in order from 1 to 5.

All of your teammates play at the same time and say their guesses out loud. They can give as many answers as they want, but the answer isn’t considered correct until one player has said both parts of the answer, back-to-back.

For example, if the correct answer is “black & blue”, one player might say “black” while another says “blue”.

Each of these guesses is part of the answer, but one player needs to put them together and say, “black & blue” for the answer to be right. The answer “blue & black” is also okay because the order doesn’t matter.

If my friends can’t figure it out, they might decide to skip and move on to the next hint.

I can’t move on to the next hint until I either get the right answer to the previous hint or my friends say, “Skip”.

Once a hint is skipped, my team won’t have another chance to come back to it.

I have to stop reading when the Timer runs out. My whole team should be quiet because any answers given after time runs out are scored by the other team.

The other team

While my team is playing, the other team has two things to do: handle the Pawns and watch the Timer.

One player keeps track of the Pawns. If my team answers the first hint correctly, remove the Pawn from the #1 position on the Scoreboard.

If my team decides not to give a clue, I’ll just leave that numbered Pawn where it is on the Scoreboard.

While the Timer is ticking, I’ll make some noise when it goes off.

Any Pawns that are left should stay where they are on the Scoreboard.

Now it’s my chance to take any clues that were passed and any clues that weren’t answered before time was up.

I’ll have the same person from my team read out the passed and unanswered clues. You can tell because the Pawns are still standing on the Scoreboard.

The other team can either answer right away or pass. It’s up to them how long they want to think, just like we’ll get the same amount of time on our turn.

Scoring

Both teams get a point for each correct answer, whether we guessed it ourselves or stole it. We’ll keep track on the Scoreboard.

Winning the Game

When my team reaches 30 points and both teams have taken the same number of turns, we win the game! It’s an exciting moment that we all look forward to.

But here’s the thing – we don’t have to stop at 30. We can keep playing for as long as we want! We can stop whenever both teams have had an equal number of turns, and the team with the highest score will be the winner.

Imagine how fun it is to keep going, to see who can get the highest score. The game becomes a thrilling competition, where every turn counts and anything can happen. It’s a chance to challenge ourselves and see how far we can go.
