The Game’s Goal
The goal of this game is to be the first one to get rid of all your cards.
Setting Up
There are 10 different types of farts in the deck. They come in four different colors: blue, yellow, red, and purple.
There are also special cards that have unique actions. For example, the Silent But Deadly, Baked Beans, and Cabbage cards force players to pick up extra cards. On the other hand, the Light a Match card cancels out the effects of the “Pick Up” cards. I will explain these cards more in detail later on.
Whoever has the smelliest gastrointestinal issues among the players gets to be the dealer. The player to the left of the dealer goes first, and then play continues clockwise around the table.
Let’s start the game by dealing 7 cards to each player.
Now, place the rest of the cards face down in the middle of the table. This is called the draw pile. I’ll turn over the top card to create the discard pile.
How to Play the Game
Okay, here’s the deal. The object of this game is to get rid of your cards. To do that, you need to match either the type of fart or the color of the last card that was played. Pretty straightforward, right?
Now, there are a couple of special cards that you should know about. The Light a Match and Silent But Deadly cards don’t have a color, so you can play them at any time.
Here’s the rule: If you have a card that matches the fart type or color, you have to play it. No hoarding allowed, not even for those shiny Light a Match cards. Sorry!
And here’s the fun part. As you play your cards, you have to say the name of each card out loud or make a sound effect that goes with it. It’s not a big deal if you forget, but it adds a bit of excitement to the game.
What happens if you can’t play a card? Well, you have to draw one card from the draw pile. Simple as that. If the card you draw can be played, great! Play it. If not, the turn moves to the next person.
Now, let’s talk about what happens when the draw pile runs out of cards. Here’s what you do: shuffle the cards in the discard pile and use them to create a new draw pile. Just make sure the top card of the discard pile is visible to everybody.
That’s pretty much it. Now it’s time to have some fun and unleash those stinky farts!
So, picture this: you’re playing a game, and you’re down to your last card. What do you do? Well, according to the rules, you have to shout out “low on gas” before the next player gets rid of a card. If you forget to do this and try to discard without announcing it, you get a penalty of 2 cards.

Pick Up Cards
When a Cabbage card is discarded, you have to draw 1 card from the draw pile before you can play.
If a Baked Beans card is discarded, you have to draw 2 cards from the deck before you can play.
If a Silent But Deadly card is discarded, you have to draw 5 cards from the deck before you can play. This card doesn’t have a specific color, so you can play it on any card. But remember, if you discard a Silent But Deadly card, you have to choose a new color when the game continues.
All “Pick Up” cards add up together. For example, if I discard a Cabbage card, you have to pick up 1 card. And if you discard another Cabbage card, the next player will have to pick up 2 cards.
If I discard the Silent But Deadly card, you have to pick up 7 cards. You could end up with quite a handful!
Remember: Once you’ve picked up your penalty cards, if you’re still unable to discard, you’ll have to draw 1 more from the draw pile.
Light a Match
These cards can cancel out the effects of the various “Pick Up” cards. They can be played on any card and don’t have a specific color.
For instance, if you’re supposed to pick up 7 cards but you play a Light a Match card, you won’t be penalized. The game continues as usual. Just remember to pick a new color when it’s your turn again.
End of the Game
If you manage to get rid of all your cards, you win! Everyone else loses, and there’s no second place. It’s an all-or-nothing situation!
